Shaurya's character

Don't you all think that Shaurya's character is very one dimensional and getting very typical? I mean he's simply the villain with no brains and a huge ego. I think the makers had the chance to add shades to his character when the raima rajnath affair came out. He could have been shown to have felt atleast a little bad about what he is doing to his mom who loves him ore than the world itself. There are so many instances like these where his character could be developed. Even devs entry could have been used for that. Also he comes across as very stupid a lot of the times. I mean really, this guy who's gotten so many girls into bed is this dumb?! Basically I wish they add shades of grey to his character.. By the end of the serial I want him to be punished in the severest way possible. But I also want him to understand that what he did was wrong.. And the was the most heinous crime ever! I want that to be the ultimate suffering.(maybe we could have a suicide by him). What do you guys think??
