Prabhu Nat thanks Akask for his contribution and the effort he has put in the engagement preparations.
On the other hand,Gautam's parents r discussing about Ponam's open and modern thinking( her wearing jeans the other day) and how that might affect their house after marriage.
Gautam's father says that they will change her thinking after marriage and since Gautam is very close to his parents especially his mother,Ponam wont be able to do much.
At Ponam's house,guests have started to come.Akaash shows few things he brought like sweets,kaesr,etc to Ponam's parents,in case the groom's family objects on any preparation.
Prabhu objects because its all very costly but Akaash says that its nothing in front of the relation he has made with them.
Ponam is dressed up and comes out,everyone praises her and say that and looks beautiful.Akash is lost in her beauty.
The groom's family arrives,everyone leaves but Ponam and Akash along with a few other girls.While doing some work Akash trips and Ponam's dupatta gets stuck to his bracelet.
They try to free it but in vain. However,they r able to do it just before the groom's family enters the hall.Gautam's father is enjoying the food and Prabhu credits Akash for the decor and the food.Gautam doesn't like it.
Gautam's mother goes to see Ponam but doesn't like her dress.According to her its too stylish.
She gifts Ponam a sari and asks her to wear it for the engagement,its their ritual. Though nobody likes it because its very cheap looking but still Ponam decides to wear it,however there wasnt any blouse to wear with the sari.
When Ponam's mother asks for it from Gautam's mother,she says that how could she bring a blouse without having the measurements.She says that Ponam should wear another blouse but her mother says that she doesn't have one because she doesn't wear sarees. Gautam's mother is adamant about Ponam wearing the gifted saree because its their custom.Akash overhears it.
Ponam remembers that she has one blouse that she wore in her 10th class's farewell. Akash helps them out with the suit cases in which it is kept.The blouse is too small. Everyone suggests that they should tell Gautam's family that Ponam can't wear a saree without a proper blouse.They should have informed them earlier so that they could have arranged for one. Akash is listening to all this.
