Because it's him
He didn't talk to her, he didn't pick her phone, he didn't meet her!
She was all worried, why her Shravan was avoiding her since last seven days.
"Areee di.. Aap aise kaise baithe ho..." preety came running.
"Kaise matlab! Jaise baitha jata hai waise hi baithi hoon! Bore mat kar jaa yahanse!" she was not any mood for stupid banter!
"Aap gussa ho? "
"Main kyun gussa hone lagi... Aur kuch kaam nahin hai kya... " she got up from her favorite place, the desk.
"Nahin woh Shravan aur Urvashi... Sath hai isliye..."
"Sath hai matlab... Kahan hai.." she was stunned!
"Nahin matlab woh donon library mein...
" She ran towards library without letting preety finish!
And she saw them...He cupping Urvashi's face, looking intently and their face.. So close... The scene just burnt her.. "Shravannn..." she yelled!
They looked at her. Urvashi was clearly embarrassed but her Shravan wasn't!
"Kya kar raha hai.. ."
He didn't answer.
"Main kuch puch rahi hoon! Tujhse... " she grabbed his hand.
"Mujhe tujhe justify karne ki koi zaroorat nahin hai..."
"Tu mujhse pichle saat dinon se baat nahin kar raha hai.. .main pagalon ki tarah tujhse baat karne ki koshish kar rahi thi.. .."
"Kyun main kyun.. ..Aditya kahan hai tera? " he asked casually!
"Aditya kahan bich mein aya.. .aur tu... Urvashi ke sathe hai.. To kya mujhe ignore karega... Meri koi importance nahin hai na teri life mein! " she brushed her hand on her cheeks, which are wet now!
"Ohhh come on Sumo.. .itna over react kyun kar rahi ho..." Urvashi said, putting her arms around Shravan's waist.
"You shut up.. .aur Sumo mujhe sirf Shravan bulata hai... Aur itna chipak kyun rahi hai... Durr hat... Chal.. ." she pulled Urvashi's hand and shoved a bit harder!
"Sumannn" he shouted!
"Suman, ab main tere liye Suman ho gayi...itna paraya kar diya mujhe... Humari dosti.. .sab kuch vul gaya iske liye... " she howled!
"Dosti! Kaisi dosti.. .tune badi dosti nibhayi hai na..."
"Shravannn"
"Kya Shravan, haan.. .Kya Shravan... Jab bhi zarrorat hoti hai to Shravan, cycle puncture ho gaya to Shravan, home work karna ho to Shravan, project banani ho to Shravan! Sab kuch Shravan.. .Basss pyaar Aditya... Kiss Aditya.. .kyun..." he was shaking out of rage!
"Shravan kya bol raha hai tu.. " she mumbled!
"Kya... " he took a step closer to her... "maine tujhe ek book di thi tere pichle birthday ko.. .Pada tune... .padna to durr ki baat khol ke bhi dekha tune... "
"Shravan... Main.. ."
"Chod yaar.. Tu sirf apni soch.. .Mere liye sochne ki koi zaroorat nahin hai.. ." he took Urvashi's hand "chalo yahanse...bekar mein disturbance! "
"Am I a disturbance! " she mumbled!
"Who told you that.. .honey.. " said Aditya, putting hand on her shoulder.
"Ohhh Adi...please. .." she just jerked away from Aditya's touch!
"Ho kya gaya hai.. Suman..aise kyun behave kar rahe ho.. Main notice kar raha hoon jisdin se humne kiss kiya hai.. Ussdin se tum aise react kar rahi ho! "
"Kiss kiss aur kiss... Bas yehi chahiye tumhe.. .kiss kar diya na ab jao yahan se.." she shouted!
"Matlab.. .oh hello... Mujhe sirf kiss chahiye! Huhhh! Samjhti kya hai apne aap ko! Aur kya.. .kiss kar diya... Bhik di hai...aur use kiss kehte hai...kiss main kar raha tha.. .tu bass baithi thi... Tujhse kiss karne ke jagah ek statue se kiss kar loonga, kam se kam reciprocate to karegi! Chal chali jana prom mein akele! Mujhe to ladkiyon ki kami nahin hai... Par tujhe kaun leke jayega... Huh!" Aditya got up and stomped away...
"Oye Sumo...ruk... ." Pushkar huffed! "Sunai nahin deta kya..."
"Kuch nahin bol.. ." but her sole attention holder was going away that too with Urvashi.
"Kahan khoyi hui hai... "
"Yaar yeh Shravan Urvashi ko kuch zyada hi importance de raha hai nahin... " she pouted.
"Haan to..."
"Nahin usse kabhi dekha nahin na kisiko itna importance dete huye.. I mean apart from his books! "
"What are you saying! Bhai to humesha se hi aise hai.. .woh to humesha tujhe importance dete the..aapne books se bhi zyada.." Pushkar laughed, ".but lagta hai Urvashi ne teri jagah le li."
It had been one month, her Shravan didn't talk to her. She was sitting alone in her desk, and of course he sat with his girl friend!
The bell ended the class, and she stumbled towards her next class, alone! She was almost doorway, when she heard! "Statue cannot kiss! "
It was Aditya and his friends!
She kept moving, clutching her books more tighter!
This time a little louder! "Statue cannot kiss! "
She turned this time, "How could you Aditya.. .."
"How could you Suman, oh sorry statue! "
A wave of digust rolled over her! Aditya had provided all the knowledge about that kissing fiasco to his friends! Why didn't she see that before! He was just doing time pass with her... She clenched her fists! One more word, that bloody Aditya would be on the floor!
"Statue.. "
Aditya slamed into the floor! And it wasn't her fist!
Aditya moaned from the floor, while one of them lurched for him, "Shravannn" she jumped between them and somehow managed to pull Shravan but Aditya was shocked, but he bounced back. "You psycho!" And he lunged toward Shravan, pushing her aside, "Don't touch her! " his voice filled with rage, he threw Aditya into the wall.. "Bahut dinon se man tha tujhe marne ka...chuan kaise tune Sumo ko... Aj nahin chodunga tujhe...maar dalunga.. ."
"Hey hey HEY! What is going ON out here?" Our maths professor glared at his favorite student. "Shravan Malhotra to the head's office. Now! " Aditya and his friend simultaneously proclaimed innocence, but Professeur cut them off. They shut up. Shravan didn't meet her eyes, he just storms away in the direction told.
She couldn't get the chance to thank her Shravan! But she was happy, that he still cared for her!
It was almost 7 in the evening. She was sitting on her study table at her home, recalling the fight! How her Shravan was looking so hot, while punching that jerk! Then suddenly her eyes slides to a new book! The book he gave her last year, on her birthday! She opened the book!
It was '100 love sonnets' by Pablo Neruda. On first page, a note by him,
"Open the bookmarked page "
A sonnet he coloured by his red marker...
"I don't love you as if you were a rose of salt, topaz,
or arrow of carnations that propagate fire:

She read it again and again, not believing her eyes, which were now pool of gallons of water!
Then she read another note by him at the feet of that sonnet
"Go to the next bookmark.. ."

Bread does not nourish me, dawn disrupts me, all day
I hunt for the liquid measure of your steps.
I hunger for your sleek laugh,
your hands the color of a savage harvest,

the sovereign nose of your arrogant face,

She shivered! Now she had understood, why he had reacted like that! How much he wanted her, how much he cared for her, how much he loved her! She closed her eyes, taking the intensity of his love, within her!
"Gadha kahinka.. Bataya kyun nahin! * she grabbed book, and ran toward his house which was a minute away from her.
"Shravannn" She barged into his room. He was on his bed, sitting with a book!
"Sumooo.. Kya hua... Firse Aditya ne kuch kiya, phone kiya tujhe... " he shot up from the bed!
"Shravannn" she cried!
"Tu mujhe dara rahi hai... Kya hua bol... "
"Gadha... "
"Kya... "
"Ullu ka pattha... "
"Yeh tu kya bol rahi hai... "
"Chup kar you idiot moron, bata nahin sakta tha... Book thama di... Pagal... " she jumped in his arms clutching his shoulders!
He froze, "tu yeh kya... " then he saw the book, the book he wanted her to read, the book in which he expressed himself to her , the book which narrated his feelings towards her so beautifully!
"Sumo woh main... "
"Itna pyaar karta tha.. Bola kyun nahin... "
"I don't know" he mumbled!
"Do you still love me..." she whispered, "Will you, after what I have done?"
He nodded!
"Sar kya hila raha hai muh se bol... "
"humesha karta aya hoon, aur humesha karta rahoonga... "
"Achcha aur Urvashi? "
"We broke up... Tere bare mein ulti sidhi bol rahi thi.. To maine... "
"Hmmm..kal mere saath prom chalega... "
"haan.."
"To thik se puch.. "
"Will be my prom partner tomorrow night? " he knelt down in front of her.
"Sirf prom partner.. .duffer kahinka... .aise nahin na thik se puch na... ." she pouted.
He shook his head, Sumo and her cuteness..."I love you Sumo, never ask why I love you, just accept that I do, and that I will for the rest of my life...will you be my partner for my whole life." he smiled..".of course after us getting a job! "
"Tu mujhse kaam karwayega... .bilkul nahin main to aise aram se rahungi... Tu kaam karega mere liye... " she ruffled his hair, and her fingers stayed there!
"Sumo, I am saying I love you... Will you please... .and it hurts... "
"Yes pagal yes... Of course a yes!"
He got up and pulled her in his arms, holding her he sat on the couch, she on his lap, in his arms...She never felt this secure in her entire life!
"Sumo.. .." he said after sitting like that, there for long.
"Hmmm" she shivered beneath his caressing hand!
"If you ask me to kiss you... I will.. .will you please!! !" he whispered in her ear.."I am dying here... "
"Statue! " instantly she remebered, the insult!
"Shravan.. .I am, I mean I can't kiss... "
He smiled, "Because it was Aditya, but you can when it's me... " he broke the embrace and took her face in his hands, "May I "
"Kiss me.. " she nodded.
He did.
They were kissing like crazy. Like their lives depended on it. His tongue sliped inside her mouth, gentle but demanding, and it's nothing like she had ever experienced, and she suddenly understood why people describe kissing as melting because every square inch of her body dissolved into his. Her fingers gripped his hair, pulling him closer. Her veins throbbed and her heart exploded. She had never wanted anyone like this before. Ever.
He pushed her backward and they were lying down on the couch!
All she wanted was Shravan!
The weight of his body on top of her was extraordinary. She felt him all of him"pressed against her, and she inhaled his shaving cream, and that extra scent that's just . . . him. The most delicious smell she could ever imagine.
His lips tasted like honey. His face had the slightest bit of stubble and it rubsbed her skin but she didn't care, all she wanted him closer closer closer.
"Sumo.. ." he broke apart with uneven breath... "We should stop! "
Reluctantly she agreed! A faint smile.. Aditya was wrong! She thought, she couldn't kiss him, because he was not him...not her Shravan!
"Kya.. ."
"Kuch nahin.. ..sun I love you... Tujhe pata hai na... " he looked at her in disbelief!
"Sumo.. .aise bolegi tu.. ."
"Haan aur kya.. ..par tu barbar mat puchna... Yeh ekbar bol diya...Dobara nahin bolungi!" she got up from the couch.."Waise tu kiss karna kahan se sikha... Film dekh ke... Hahaha.. .." she ran. At the other side of the room, leaving him flabbergasted. ...
"Sumo... Tu.. ..ruk..chodunga nahin main.. .."
So ho gayi ji ho gayi! Ab sawal hai... Kaunsi chalachitra I mean film se inspired.. It's jaane tu ya jaane na... Remember rat and meow, Jay and Aditi!
