Nobody knows the exact reason of edkv sudden closure. Khatara Sony & PH me hi kuch hua hoga. We were in danger since Sauteli maa stopped promoting edkv & stopped its repeat telecasts too. I think Bakwass Sony took advantage of the time when episodes telecasting had been cancelled & decided to shut the shop.

Much hate towards bhangar sony 😡...they could support the show in its bad phase but they didn't & proved again they are Sautele.

sauteli maa..🤣saachi yaar...fans ka dil todne ka aanjam bhi mila unhe...sare shows ka trp kam ho raha hai..krpkab is also showing worst now...typical saas bhau drama...sony ko consider karna chahiye tha...and nikita was also fine aftrwards...Sony is really bhangarest channel ever...😡

So nobody knows the exact reason for the show's closure..
Of course a lot of theories are there regarding the same but they are just that..theories
And also some of these are influenced by what Sony provided as the reason for the show's closure: FL's poor health.

I seriously loved this one show, but till now I haven't said anything regarding its closure...
I have my own theory about the same...though I refrained from commenting on this matter before as we all know how sensitive the fans get whenever this question is raised as you can already see with the fight/ discussion going on in another thread...

So my theory is, things might have gone this way...

The show was going good till Ep 50 though trp wasn't very much impressive give obvious reasons
Then came TKSS...so they removed some of our repeat telecasts
Then Nimmo Devi and Daal were introduced in the show creating MUs bw the leads
After sometime I guess around Preekar wedding we lost all our repeat telecasts and I think Sony didn't like the current track and this step of theirs was a warning of sorts to the PH
They also unnecessarily dragged the track increasing Sony's ire...
Tried to create a 'twist' by introducing Aditiya
If you remember then that was one of the last things that Sony promoted releated to EDKV (remember the FB update of Sony?)
We did not get any promos after Ramnath's offer walla promo...
After 100 ep., Aditiya's entry and Sangeet unfortunately Nikki fell I'll...
Even after she came back, the story wasn't progressing and Sony had Beyhad lined up without any slot..
By this time they had started ignoring the show altogether but the CVs and PH refused to get things back on track for some unknown reasons..
Here I would agree with the CVs that Shravan needed to face some issues and clear them before getting involved with Sumo but these guys didn't deliver it in a, lets say, viewer friendly manner. Meaning no romance and no mush...
Later Sony gave all of us a scar buy telecasting Beyhad timing at 10 in their promos...
I guess they warned the PH and they relented...
Here we thought the show was ending and went beresk but CVs assured us that these are just rumors
We saw Adi being beaten to a pulp and we rejoiced
And later ShraMan got married in a shocking way...
Here again we had a five day holiday cause of Ganesh Chaturthi
Again bad luck struck us and Nikki fell seriously ill
The PH tried to cover up with BD and filled ep...
After Sumo's greh pravesh...
Sony had had enough I guess since Nikki was still not available and the ststory was at an imp junction
They decided to shut shop...
I don't understand cause they didn't have another show lined up and this bugs me...
The PH and channel had some issues I guess and let's face it...
This PH was new and utterly disorganized...
They didn't have episodes in bank and would shoot for long hours at a maddening speed, if Namik and Nikki's SM posts are anything to go by...
So I think all this along with a few other things drove Sony to finally pull the plug
Breaking a million hearts.

I am not blaming anyone here. This is just one theory of how things might have happened leading up to our show being axed...

The show has ended. Its been over a month now. Everyone has moved on. And Indian television industry is like this only. Its driven by trps and not by content...
