Hello all, first of all tons of sorry, for updating this late. Actually was stuck in between a dilemma, whether to write further or to just wrap up! But every person I asked in this forum, just freaked out. Specially Dolly and Naamika. *Sigh* so I am continuing, but I don't know, how many more parts to come! If likhne ka kida zorse kata, to will continue,, or else, will wrap it soon.

And yes, about this chapter, they say, history repeats itself and when you have your own history, you are not the person,easy to live with.
Okay, let's get started, this will be from Shravan's POV.
Chapter 16
"By the way, I am not leaving you"
"Promise? "
"Pakka wala promise! "
"Hmmm"
"Chalo you sleep now! You need some more sleep! "
"I wonder whyyy"
"Sedative... Love... Sedative... Chalo... Try to sleep! "
"But I don't want to sleep... "
"Please be good Sumo... Otherwise I'll leave! "
"Don't leave. I'll be good," she promised, turning herself to face away from me, but then scooting backward so that her backside touched my front, the covers between us. I put one hand on her back, moved slightly away, and wrapped the other arm around her waist.
"Goodnight, Sumo," I said firmly.
"Oh, all right," she sighed. "Good night."
I began humming softly and my mind started to wander. Why do lullabies work? I wondered. It must be the gentle, repetitive rhythm, like a heartbeat. This one thing I liked about being with Sumo at night was feeling her heart beat against my own heartbeat.
"Don't go, Shravan " The words rose clear as a bell from a slumbering Sumo. "Stay..."
I smiled to myself and then quickly lost the smile when I thought about it. I didn't really know, whether I am doing right or wrong! Though I didn't want to leave her, but wasn't it the right thing to do! I sighed at my own selfishness, she groaned suddenly and I rubbed light circles between her shoulder blades to calm her. It would be fascinating to know her dreams and fulfilling everything she wanted in her dreams.
It's been 1 week, since our confrontation had happened! I couldn't leave her, it made her really happy, she had won what she wanted. Somehow I was also becoming more accepting of this marriage, and was reassuring myself that everything would be good! Maa ordered us to go and buy our Shaadi ka joda! So with me and Sumo, Pushkar and Preety also went for the shopping. After debating much, Sumo and Preety mutually selected a red lehenga choli! She went for the trial! Meanwhile I chose a simple white and gold sherwani.
Oh my god, Sumo was looking heavenly! The way she was looking right now, any man in this world would go on knees for her.
"Wow, kitni achchi dikh rahi hai nahin.. .." two girls were talking from the sales counter.
"Haan bilkul pari.. .." and this pari was mine, I felt a sense of pride inside me.
"ladke ko bhi to dekh.. .woh bhi kitna handsome hai... " I smiled.
"Haan par crutch leke khada hai.. . ."
"Tooo... Shravan Malhotra, Ramnath Malhotra ka beta hai...crutch kya agar pair hote hi na tab bhi hazaron ladkiyan mil jaati!"
"To kya paiso ke liye, nahin re yeh aisi nahin lagti.. ."
"Chup kar tu! Nahin to kaun karega warna ek apahich se shaadi! "
I didn't know what to do at that moment, it was just a tight slap of reality, I looked at Sumo, who was looking no less than a goddess! Who was happy as we were gonna be together! But what if she regret later, what if I couldn't make her happy! "What are you thinking Shravan, she clearly said, that night, she loves me the way I am..."
"Shravan tum apne aapse baatein kar rahe ho! " Sumo laughed!
I didn't realise I was talking to myself out loud, I smiled feebly, "Haan kabhi kabhi intelligent partner ki zarrorat hoti hai na baat karne ke liye! "
"Kya hua Shravan? You okay? " she didn't smile.
"Haan, mujhe kya hona hai.. .chalo tumhara ho gaya hai to chalte hai.. ."
"Hmmm"
"Chalo na Shravan..." Sumo chided!
"Nahin na Sumo man nahin hai.. ."
"Kya yaar, tumne promise kya tha.. .Pushkar, Preety and Aditya bhi jaa rahe hain... "
"Sumo. Main wahan jaa ke kya karunga..."
"Mujhe dekhna.. ."
"Woh to main yahan bhi kar sakta hoon! "
"Shravannn" she whinned.
And again I couldn't say her no anymore, "Thik hai chalo... " she was taking me to disc, that disc, I used to go to a lot before...
"It's a nice place...no? " Sumo seemed happy.
"Hmmm"
"What gotten into you again? "
"Nothing..."
How could I tell her, this was the place I used to come with Alisha, whenever we were in India. How could I forget the taunts she had made because of this incapability, how could I forget, what the sales girls were saying about me and Suman! How could I! How could I make Suman understand, that the immense love I felt for her, was not enough to start a married life! At every step she would have to face the consequences of being my wife! I knew she didn't want anything besides my love, but how could I love her, when I knew the truth. I didn't tell her one thing.. .
"Sumooo chal na dance karte hai.. ." Aditya took he hand.
"Nahin mujhe nahin jana.. Tu jaa! " Sumo secured her head on my shoulder.
"Kya yaar, Disc aayi hai.. Par dance nahin karna.. .Shravan tum samjhao.. ."
"Haan Sumo, go na... I am here.. .jao aur jaldi wapas aao.. ." I smiled.
"You, sure?" Sumo asked.
"Haan baba.. Go now.. ."
Sumo was looking beautiful in that black dress. She was truly God's best creation. I really wished, I could dance with her now, but this.. I looked at my crutch! Again I could feel my inability to match Sumo.
"Shravan Malhotra..."
The very least person I wanted to meet. Alisha. Just listening to her voice made me agitated. I looked at her. Did I see a smirk!
"Akele baithe ho.. .tumhari gf nahin aayi? " She sat beside me.
"Tumse matlab.. ."
"Koi matlab nahin... Just curiosity! "
"Itni curiosity achchi nahin hai Alisha! Waise where is your husband? Itni jaldi usse bhi chod diya!"
"Ohhh please Shravan, main usse kyun chodungi! Usme to koi kami nahin hai... .you know what I mean right! " she fanned her hair away her face! There was time, when I used to love her 'adaa' but now it was irritating me!
"Please Alisha...please let me be! "
"Like your finance has let you be..." she looked at Sumo.
"Enough Alisha.. ."
"No no please you enjoy... Your fiancee dancing with someone else! She looks quite happy haan! Tabhi... Main sochu.. .kami pura karne ke liye, koi aur jo hai! "
"Enough Alisha.. ..just go from here, or I'll do something, you'll regert! " I fumed.
"Ohhh okay okay I am going... You enjoy your time out! "
I looked at Sumo, she was so busy dancing with Aditya, that she didn't even notice that I was sitting there alone almost half an hour! And there Aditya was getting all the attention of her! Good! I got up from the couch and to the bar counter. I ordered scotch! I used to love. I gulped down the whole peg as soon as the bartender fill it in! And I felt a bit uneasy because of months of not drinking alcohol! But slowly, the burn, I was feeling in my throat subsided, by the new burn in my heart, the burn of jealousy! How could Sumo, ignore me like this! She didn't care that I was not there!
"Shravannn... What are you doing here... " I felt a light nudge on my shoulder. I turned,
"What do you think, what am I doing here? "
"Oh my god! Shravan you are drunk... Shravan... You are taking medicines for your nerves, tum poori tarah se thik bhi nahin huye... Abhi aise... " she panicked!
"Wah... Tumhe pata chal gaya, k main puri tarah se thik nahin hua,..." I laughed!
"Shravan! "
"Don't shout please! Yeh sab tum Aditya k liye bacha k rakkho! "
"What are you saying Shravan... "
"Why you don't know... Jab nach rahi thi uske saath... Tab kya hua tha... "
"Shravan... Tumne kaha tha... " she looked hurt. But I didn't care.
"Haan to... Isliye pure ek ghante tak nachogi... Wah.. " I clapped dramatically!
"Shravan... "
"What...main nahin dance kar sakta to tum tumhare Adi k sath dance kar liya, I am sure main jo kuch bhi nahin kar paunga.. Adi hoga tumhare liye... "
The next thing, I felt was a slap! It was so loud that the music there stopped, and everyone looked at me astounded!
"Bhaiya... ..Sumo. pagal ho gayi hai... Kya kar rahi hai... " Pushkar encircled his hand around my shoulder.
"Sumo kya hua... Tu aise... " Aditya asked!
"Batao batao... " I laughed looking at Sumo.
She was looking at me with her those big chocolate brown eyes, she looked hurt beyond words, and I knew, that very moment I had lost my Sumo. At last, I had successfully pushed my Sumo away from me. That very moment, I regretted... What had I done.. .how could I be this cheap! "Sumooo... I am...I am.. ." and fell on ground, and everything around me just vanished in darkness.
It was.. Ten in the morning. Pushkar woke me up... "Bhaiya... Bhaiya... " ..
I looked at his panic stricken face... "Kya hua... "
"Bhaiya woh... "
"Kya Pyshkar... "
"Sumo ka subah se kuch pata nahin chal raha hai.. Maine kal usse ghar drop kya tha.. Preety ne phone kar ke bataya ki Sumo...Subah se... "
Okay that's it for today... I know, you all would be very angry with me now! But as I thought to wrap it, but then I thought, Shravan couldn't be controlled so easily! I have lot in mind suddenly!
P. S did you all notice, Shravan actually was thinking something, that he didn't tell Suman, when Aditya interrupted them, asking Sumo for dance.
