Shravan is a Good and Decent character and at the same time he has high Moral & Ethical Values. Hence, his character should not be degraded by writing inappropriate and intimate content about him. As he is a Good & decent Character held in the hearts of every Indian Household. Most importantly, his character is a Role-Model for Younger generation.

And regarding kids- well if they have access to internet and if they are not able to refrain from reading such content even after a warning explicitly mentioned, i don't think anyone can stop them from reading it else where to. 21st century much?

Yes, but Writers have to be careful about what they write keeping in mind what is suitable for all age groups. Because EDKV story is particularly set in an Indian Traditional and Realistic Background & it is enjoyed by all age groups.

And its a free forum, if there is anything inappropriate with any of the contents, the mod will look in to it.Though i hardly have ever seen a forum without mature stories.

Yes, but here it does not suit Shravan's character. As Shravan is a Decent, Well-Behaved, & Disciplined Character who Has High Moral and Ethical Values & respects Family Relationships & Traditions. Maturity comes with having right Morals & Ethics. Only immature people get caught in these kinds of inappropriate fantasies as they don't know the consequences attached to it.

I absolutely fail to understand what you mean by decent characterisation, no offence but intimacy is a pretty natural stuff.

Yes, Intimacy is pretty natural after Marriage, but a relationship between Husband and Wife is very Sacred. It has to be respected & it cannot be publicized to the whole world. Indian Traditions, Values, & Ethics are even respected around the world to this day. Everybody around the world are trying to inculcate these values & ethics. Wrong doings are happening these days because of no moral values. Because of Social Media and Over exposure, people are getting carried away by unwanted stuff & spoiling their heads and lives. They go through all sorts of psychological problems because of that. That's why they are failing in studies, not able to make good friends, and no respect for elders & getting into wrong relationships. They are spoiling their lives because of this. Even in other countries, people are making changes to go back to their old beliefs and values. OLD IS GOLD.

Hey Mr.Pal, I never said that having intimacy with wife or GF meant unethical. Please go back and reread my post carefully. Husband and Wife Relationship should be intimate but not to the extent that you publish stuff openly in public. Husband and Wife Relationship is very Pure and Sacred. I am not a huge fan of living relationships between BF and GFs. So,I don't want to comment on that.

I am not judging anybody. Everybody is saying to be careful with social media & cyber media. Not just me, but even around the world like in U.S., UK, Canada and other countries - they have strict parental control to control kids from watching inappropriate stuff. And, even schools educate kids to be mindful about viewing stuff. Even officials tell never to share information on any platform of social media. With good intentions, I am presenting my views.

ok so your only point which i find valid is relation between a husband and a wife can't be publicised to the whole world. AGREE. But in that case even the problems between them should be kept between them and not publicised. As an individual i feel everything between a couple should be only between them But in that case you are not going to get a tv show made.I am sure we all are here to see the things brewing in their lives so doesn't that makes us all unethical?

Earlier till 80 or mid 80's, movies and TV shows were decent & inappropriate stuff was not shown & most of the movies were Hits and Blockbusters. Now, because of over exposure, and overdoing things, we come across so many things happening around us in newspaper and on TV everyday or the other. Making even small changes will bring in lot of changes to the Environment. Limited is ok, but overdoing and overseeing stuff will spoil one's mind. It's not good for mental health. You can go and check online Dr.Phil and Dr.Oz posts.

I am sure if the show ran its course we would have witnessed a consummation seen.Would then also Shravans character be degraded?

As i said earlier Fanfictions based on tv couples are not the only source where people can find intimate content. There is a lot of places for that.

As the show didn't have a scene like that, I am not going to comment on that. Yes, there are lot of places for that. I know some of the people don't watch TV scenes with their Families or Friends. They watch Individually. That is not at all good, and it is the worst case for getting into all Mental and Psychological issues. It mainly affects people who are introverted, and doesn't want to be around people & shy away from People. In order to avoid all of this negativity, they should hang out with their Families & Good Friends.

All i can say is let people do what they feel like doing and ignore what you dont like. This topic is going towards Moral Policing which i am sure is also not allowed on IF.

All I am doing is presenting my views just like everybody else is doing. This is an open forum, and we need to create a good healthy environment, where good stuff is posted, learnt and people enjoy reading it.

We understand your views its just that these s this things are not wrong and if someone is uncomfortable just avoid it. We are not. We are completely good with it and I am sure many more people are. So of someone is having mental problems and such stay away from this . Let other people read. That's it. We find a lot of meaning in those write ups and Hollywood movies portray a lot more so there are people who just avoid those movies so do that. AVOID.

I would just like to say Shravan and Suman are fictional characters, they aren't real people, so, as an audience we can imagine them however we want - that's why we live in a democracy; everyone has the freedom of expressing their views. Everyone on this forum (including me) is obsessed with ShraMan that's why we are here, and readers and writers may have this curiosity of how intimate ShraMan would be because we didn't get to see much of that on the show. Therefore, intimacy is written about, we aren't disrespecting Namik or Nikita in any way because Shravan and Suman are completely different to Namik and Nikita in most of our imaginations. And not to be disrespectful in any way, just because of one person saying that 'intimacy shouldn't be written about because it's against 'Indian values'', is not going to stop anyone from reading or writing about it, because this has nothing to do with any of that. You have a choice to avoid such topics, such as everyone else has the choice to read it or write it. It depends on if you are comfortable. In fact, all those topics have 18+ written on it and more warnings which are highlighted. Therefore, just let it go, everyone can do whatever they want, read whatever they want and imagine/read and write about ShraMan however they want.
