Coming to the story , thank you. All of you. So very much. You guys were so kind , reading your comments truly makes me happy and makes me want to write even on my busiest days.
So here it is , an update during one of my busiest weeks , what with all the assignments and tests and presentations.
Hope it is not disappointing. Please keep commenting , makes my day.( and sleepless nights too hehe).

Suman woke up to voices. Loud voices.
"Ye Shravan aur Suman itni jaldi kaam pe chale gaye ? Bahadur , tumne unhe naashte ke liye poocha ya nahi ? Ramu kaka , Aapne unke liye kuch bhi nahi banaya ? Ghar ke bacche bina naashta kiye ab kaam pe jayege ? Batao ab" , Kamini chachi yelled at the house helps , annoyance dripping from her tone .
"Woh ... madam ji"
"Kya hai Bahadur ? jaao kaam pe lag jaao. Mera sar aur na khapao"
" Mein toh abhi aaya kaam pe, maaf kar dijiye , aaj thodi der ho gayi , bacchi ko school bhejna tha , uska pehla din tha"
" Thodi der kehte hai isse ? 11 baj rahe hai. Koi nai , jaao ab jaldi jaldi haath chalao"
Suman tried pushing herself further into her pillow , trying to block out the voices.
"OH SHIT !"
"It's 11. Oh My God , how could I sleep so much."
She woke up with a start , trying to get out of Shravan's hold.
" Arre yaar , haath hai ya loha."
"SHRAVAN!"
Shravan covered his ears , slowly waking up. He sat up on the bed ,squinting due to the sunlight in the room , staring at Suman. The sunlight made her face glow , her hair shone as the light bounced off it.
"Good Morning" , he smiled at her.
"It is too early in the morning , stop screaming in my ears , Madam"
" Too early ? How are you going to run a law firm at this rate ? 11 baj rahe hai aur sahabzade ki subah ab ho rahi hai", she said , hands on her hips , bangs on her face , eyes narrowed at him.
"WHAT ? What the hell ? Sumo why didn't you wake me up ? I had a meeting at 10. "Shit shit shit" , he scrambled off the bed, leaving it in a huge mess, and looked for his phone.
" Ha Ha, nice question." , she answered sarcastically. "Because I just woke up. I have never slept in for so long. I always wake up early ,get ready and get everyone's breakfast ready too. Ye sab tumhari wajah se hua , Qutub Minar.", she blabbered.
"Accha ? And how is it my fault ? Late uthi tum , galti meri ? Waaah Sumo." , he said , shaking his head.
"I have never had such a comfortable sleep okay ? Excuse me for not having slept with any guy before.", she fired at him , gathering her clothes and other stuff, not even realizing what she was saying at this point.
Shravan could not believe his ears. What was his spitfire of a wife saying ? He needed a minute to gather himself.
"Accha ?" , he smirked at her. "So I was your first ?"
Suman halted , hands in midair , filled with essentials , suddenly realizing what she had said without meaning to. She gulped and slowly turned to face him , her heart racing and face red.
" well , we didn't technically , you know", she tried explaining , hands moving around wildly.
"Did you want to ?" , he asked , thoroughly enjoying himself.
"Didn't you have a meeting ?" , she snapped , as the haze on her brain cleared.
"Oh haan. Let me see"
"13 missed calls", he groaned , "Ye client toh gaya mere haath se"
They showered and freshened up , separately , and ran down the stairs only to find everyone at home. Staring at them. Dumbfounded. Confused. Speechless.
They looked around confused , why was everyone at home at this time ? Did no one have work ?
Kamini chichi decided to break the silence , "Aap dono abhi uth rahe ho ?"
Shravan cleared his throat. "Haan , who chachiji , kal raat ko der se soye toh isliye", he trailed off.
"Hain ? Tum dono der se soye ? Kya kar rahe the itni raat ko ?"
Pushkar came forward and held his mother by her shoulders , "Mumma , aap newly weds se pooch rahe ho ki woh raat ko kya kar rahe the ?"
Kamini chachi blushed , "Woh, kya haina, ... Chup kar besharam." , she pulled his ear.
"Arre waaah , cheti cheti ek aur khush khabri suna diyo. Kyun Soniyo ?", Lalaji spoke up , smiling that infectious smile of his. Everyone else cheered.
Shravan looked downright embarrassed and Suman wanted the ground to open up and swallow her up.
"Accha bas ho gaya , puttar ji , kal shaam ko humne tum dono ke liye reception rakha hai , vyaah na sahi , reception toh hume de do. Suman , aaj na tu jaldi ghar aa jaana. Aur Shravan tum bhi. Shopping jaana hai."
"Okay Chachiji , I am getting late , I will see you in the evening", Suman whisper-replied, and rushed out the front door. She sat in the car , took a deep breathe and looked at her reflection in the rearview mirror. Cheeks flushed and eyes sparkling , she realized she looked happy after ages. Truly happy. "Mr Shravan Malhotra , its time to give you a gift. Bohot ho gaya tumhara drama , I will show you what it feels like to be flustered."
"Bye Chachi", Shravan left for work , a happy smile on his face.
Ramnath looked on , his frown deepening , his worry reaching new heights. What should he do now ?
"Aisa kya ho gaya inn dono ke beech , aaj itne khush lag rahe hai , kal tak toh ek dusre ka murder karne ki soch rahe the. Aisa bhi kya hua kal raat ?" , chachi muttered to herself. "No, this is not done , they cannot be fine so fast , Bhaisaab ka sach Shravan ko batana hi padega , aise kaise rukne dungi mein use yahan ape , Malhotra & Associates ka maalik toh mera Pushkar hi banega."
12:03PM Come pick me up at 5.
1:37 PM Did you have lunch ?
2:01 PM What about the client ?
2:18 PM Why are you not receiving my calls ?
3: 37 PM Did you have lunch ?
3: 44 PM Are you coming ?
4:44 PM I am waiting , Shravan.
7 missed calls : Sumo.
"Hello"
"Hello ? HELLO ? Kabse tumhe call kar rahi hu , phone utha nahi sakte the ? I was worried. Qutub Minar kahin ke , ek minute nahi tha tumhare paas phone check karne ke liye ? You irresponsible rat !"
And that was it. Shravan burst out laughing ; his apology went for a toss as he sat there , on his chair , clutching his stomach and laughing.
"HOW DARE YOU ? I am annoyed and worried aur tum has rahe ho ?"
"Rat ?" , he managed to get out in between his peals of laughter.
"You could not have used a more wrong adjective for me"
"Oh God , Sumo" , and he burst out laughing again.
Suman smiled listening to him laugh carelessly , like a kid , with no care in the world.
"Earth to Suman ! Helllo.. Sumo ? Are you there ?"
Suman shook herself free of her thoughts , "Haan , sorry , I was looking for something."
"For what?"
"Haaan ?"
"You were searching for what ?"
"Oh , woh , for my lipstick"
"Kyun ? Client ko impress karna hai ?"
"Kuch bhi ! Shut up Shravan , bakwaas band karo aur mujhe batao when are you picking me up ?"
"Didn't you take your car ?" , he asked , confused.
"I did. It broke down. Tow truck mangwa ke car repair ke liye bhej di hai"
"Kab tak uss khatara ko chalogi ?"
"Until I deserve a new car. Plus , I love my baby" , she replied , smiling even though he could not see her.
" I am sure you will love our baby when it is here but we need to do a lot of work on it."
" OhMyGod , one more stupid word comes out of your mouth , and I will sell you on Amazon.com. Apne liye woh nayi car bhi khareed lungi phir.", she threatened.
"What ? Tum pagal ho Sumo." , he said trying to control his laughter.
"Accha , be ready in 15 , I am going to come pick you up."
"Hello ?"
"Nirmala ?"
"..."
"Ramnath ?"
"I want to meet you."
"I don't want to do anything with you.Just keep my son happy. I am happy watching him from afar."
"You don't have to , not anymore"
She let out a sarcastic laugh.
"Are you out of your mind ? Why now ? He will never want me back."
"You don't know that , Nirmala."
"No , I do. He is grown up now. He does not need his mother. Not anymore. I saw how much he hates me. Who mujhse nafrat karta hai , Ram. I just want him to be happy. He has the one thing he has longed for ten long years. Just keep him happy and I will be at peace."
"I will never be at peace. Please , Nirmala."
"It was your doing. I would love to see how hell goes down in your life , because of your own deeds, all over again. Goodbye , Ramnath"
And she slammed the phone , tears streaming down her cheeks , her heart aching for that child she had left behind , for her loneliness , for her heartache , for the void in her heart , that could never be filled.
Okay Guys , I know literally nothing happened in this chapter , but please be patient with me. I am going through the busiest phase of my life and it is becoming increasingly impossible to find time for myself.
The next chapter is half written. Plus , this chapter was supposed to be completely different but when I started writing , this is all I could come up with.
