Zoya !Nith🤗First reaction : NothingSecond reaction : NothingThird reaction : Feeling sadOhooo! Maine toh happiness baatne ke liye likha tha, sad ho gayi...I am feeling bad actually, why did you end this ? Is it fair ? I am bad with endings.I go numb hence the first 2 reactions. I do not like things to end, that too a story like this, why is called an alternate ending btw ? Why couldn't you have called it alternate continuation ? This is not done girl.I'm sorry hon! I wish it would be such but well it had to end...Forgive my tone, I am writing without thinking and I am emotionally volatile and slightly delusional as well. Not at all ... It's okay..After a few deep breaths, this is my actual comment. It was flawless my dear. An absolute pleasure to read, will reread definitely after finishing my list which is currently overflowing(I still haven't read Priyam, Mallika , donottulip,Sara & Sardikidoop ) . This forum is a forum of writers and very good ones at that.Agreed! We have a massive bunch of amazingly talented writers!Everything was perfect, the wedding, grahapravesh, SR ( I liked the music thing very much 😳) , the PDA, pregnancy and the twins ❤️ ❤️. Hats off to you ! Take many bows as usual 👏 . You are such an evocative writer, very talented.Thank you so much hon!!😳Ok so 2 things(since you said I could analyse😉). First one from one of my favourite books. But I'll tell you why that came to my mind first, its because of the point you made about his father's influence, the subconscious part."Fate gives all of us three teachers, three friends, three enemies, and three great loves in our lives. But these twelve are always disguised, and we can never know which one is which until we've loved them, left them, or fought them."
Gregory David RobertsRings a bell, don't you think ? In Shravan's case, as we have seen only a limited edition of Mr.Malhotra, the three loves of his life are actually his parents and Sumo, but they are also the three teachers and the three enemies. I say enemies because at some point they did not put Shravan's need ahead of theirs, I will not blame Sumo though, she was 16 then and we cannot treat her on par with the other 2. Both Ramnath and Nirmala show us how flawed parents can be, parents are human after all. It is a mistake to put them on a pedestal, but I digress. So well put👏 Firstly the para by Roberts👏 Brilliantly put here by you!And yes, I like how you put that the three loves in his life are also his teachers and unfortunately also his enemies. Ramnath and Nirmala, the lesser said the better but Suman, redeemed here, on the show though, she may have realised what she did when they were kids but all that she did to him later, towards the end, 🤬 No redemption there, I'll blame that on blotchy writing, chaddo...Ramnath made Shravan a scapegoat for his insecurities and hence in this context I would call him an enemy but at the same time he tried to give Shravan the love of 2 parents, where he becomes a teacher. Similarly, Nirmala (I detest her) , though she tried to protect Shravan, she ended up hurting him more and this is an example of how we cannot decide what our children are and how they will react/respond to situations. But she teaches value best known as non-cooperation. If you have ever read Stephen R Covey you will know what I am taking about. She teaches us that when there are things are outside our circle of influence (like Ramnath's attitude) the best thing to do is to change the way she responds to the situation. But this is a lesson Shravan was not shown to learn in the show, but we got a "finite" show. Thank you for bringing up the effect of his father on him, Shravan is neither his father nor his mother, small mercies.Agreed! If the show was allowed to run course, Shravan's fears and insecurities would have gotten enough light... And I believe a man once cracked, so much at that can never truly rid himself of the ghosts of his past. And seeing those remnants in Shravan would have been a treat. Not being sadistic or anything, Namik would have slayed it...What does Sumo teach Shravan ? Think hard, it is an interesting question. As far as my vision for the two of them here goes, I'd say self assurance and love...I will tell you what I think, but please feel free to disagree with me, it will be fun to have an analysis about this. Sumo teaches Shravan love, in her unique way, albeit indirectly. Will we take rights on people we don't love ? Will we own them ? I don't think so. What we define as "Haq" . If Sumo didn't love Shravan, why did she take the "haq" with him. I think that is what appealed to our chotu Shravan, the fact that despite him being a geek, Sumo had made him hers. That is the reason he hated it when someone else did something for Sumo, she had given him those rights. Another thing is, however flawed Sumo may have been, she was able to see the goodness in Shravan beyond his physical aspects which ironically stems from her own image issues. I don't know if I am making sense at all.Are you making sense?? You literally have me eating from your palm with you analytical analogies. This one is ❤️ @Bold of haq and making him her's. You've brought out the very reason Shravan fell for her in the first place. They both had psychological breaks and came up with their own ways to cope with their short comings and downfalls. Which only they can truly ever understand.Second point, going to keep it short, running out on time."True love stories never have endings" - Richard BachI totally disagree with him on many things but not this one. ShraMan has no end.Well let's say Bach has many supporters on this one...Lots and lots of hugs to you Zoya ! Keep writing for as long as you can about ShraMan. Your writing is love ❤️ . I know I have said that earlier but I say it again cause it is the truth ! 😳Nith my love!Thank you so very much!Hugs back at you 🤗P.S 1: Sorry about the delay, accidentally hurt myself in the kitchen while cutting veggies, quite deep , so couldn't type properly yesterday.Damn I hope you're okay now... Thanks for coming in and typing such a beautiful message inspite of the pain ❤️P.S 2 : While I wrote point no 1, I realised that there was something else in Shantaram which I wanted to write about as well. But decided against it, will put that in the poison tree analysis, but this is the quote. What do you think ?Poison tree analysis!! It's on!! Damn I can't wait!"At first, when we truly love someone, our greatest fear is that the loved one will stop loving us. what we should fear and dread, of course, is that we wont stop loving them, even after they are dead and gone. for i still love you with the whole of my heart. i still love you. and sometimes, my friend, the love that i have and cant give to you, crushed the breast from my chest. soemtimes, even now, my heart is drowning in a sorrow that has no stars without you, and no laughter, and no sleep."Gregory David Roberts, ShantaramI read this twice and needed to compose myself before writing this.I legit broke down, having known loss this is so damn close to reality I can't even tell you... But then you already know and hence it's here...Nith this stole the comment for me...That fear is the most threatening...Thank you for quoting it here...
