So true suman always made me cringe by her selfishness. When shravan left all his work just to help her recover she was grateful for 1 episode and khalaas...dusted.

The.only.time she decided to let.go of pct was when her marriage was fixed with aditya and at that time she was a walking dead.body... She was keeping quite and listening to his taunts on her being called Mrs shravan.malhotra.. She might havr listen to.it.further if he didnt bring pct into the picture...

Or offered to pay her monthly stipend of 70k... that was the last straw for her!

I felt let down by Sumo on so many occasions like not taking help from the Malhotras for her marriage, considering that it's Shravan's marriage as well and other instances where she stubbornly refused to take help from Shravan for Preeti's wedding functions. Yet, today's outburst from Suman felt like a necessary one. Shravan openly ridiculing and hurting her sentiments and making a mockery out of her work and ability in front of the whole family, when the truth is exactly the opposite, is nothing short of a male dominated attitude which is downright insulting to any person who had sweated day in and day out establishing his/her work through years. His words that ek husband wife ko aise khul ke baate karni chahiye..what the hell was that?! So, Suman just gave it back to him. Why to tell him all these privately in their room when he told her all that in front of all at the dining table? Where were his manners then? Should only men have the liberty to tell a girl such things amidst an audience? Of course, her telling all those to Shravan would have been downright unacceptable and vile, ONLY and ONLY IF he hadn't uttered those things in the first place. I don't find anything wrong with her requesting Kamini to postpone the function for the evening. That's absolutely okay if it becomes an absolute necessity to attend one's work.

I know many here wouldn't be on agreeing mode with me. Suman's words seemed more harsher than what Shravan said, but still they were needed for a man who could mock someone's hard earned work to such an extent just because that someone's work doesn't match his in terms of status and also because that someone is a woman who should according to him stay at home and enjoy his money (doesn't matter it's his own money or his dad's). Those words were all the more needed because he's supposed to be her best friend, not a random someone that she has married. Not that she always has been right. She has been selfish a lot of times. But some instances calls for an instant answer to shut a person up for good. Just like Shravan, Suman too had to receive a lot of crap in the form of an unwanted marriage with Chipku, nearly about to abandoning her job then, Shravan's constant insults about women, intense family pressures, and now getting to know about the lie her supposed best friend told to Chipku. Suman too has had her share of problems like Shravan. And his rant at the dining table just brought out her frustrations to the brim. On a last note, it's just my opinion guys. I absolutely respect yours, though I may not agree with them.

Just forget everything!! I know we don't deserve this kind of ending!!

Always having been a silent reader due to the passionate feminist i am, I have to respectfully disagree. I think what she said to chachi and lala ji was done in a respectful way. She explained her reasons and made a request.


As for what she said to shravan, i truly think her reaction was justified after the insult he kept on throwing at her. In one moment her destroyed her identity making it nothing more than than his property over which he should have compete control. Him offering to pay her to me indicated him stating that he owns her, (she is nothing more than mrs shravan malhotra, but where is her name in all of this?)
In my opinion she replied aptly to his demeaning insults.
Remember, we know where his hatred comes from, but she still does not know the entire story which makes it easier to see shravans point of view.



And I don't think the rules should be different for a beta and a bahu, he insulted her I front of everyone so she has the right to defend her self respect in front of everyone, and it was he who asked her turnover in front of everyone, she simply replied

As a strong feminist I value equality between genders, and what sumo did was out of the self respect she has earned for herself from hard work and dedication.

I am just stating my opinion and I honestly don't mean to offend anyone, nor am I trying to bash any character.

True that! Sadly, it's has always been easy for people to blame the woman. She shouldn't have done that, she shouldn't have said that in front of all, she should have waited, etc. The root of yesterday's episode was Shravan himself. He was the one who took to demean her rudely in front of all and demanded that she live her life according to his standards. She only gave a befitting reply, nothing else!

No one is asking her to quit or something. But she can always take a step back for a day or two. Shravan was there in her house for a day why can't she do so much for a few hours.
