And the best of all:

He waits at the front door, knowing that no matter how much he tries, he will never be a part of the picture perfect family. He stays a stranger. So, he satisfies himself by gazing at them from afar.
Little does he know, that amidst the misfit life he is leading, he has been someone's center of the universe.

Yaar, really, the first one is what I had been thinking of when I was writing the chapter when he tells his parents that he has no family. And 'word', I agree, I think the same, oh God, that scene made me cry so much for him. It's heartbreaking, I don't think anyone around him realized how deeply affected he had been by his parents' broken marriage and how lonely he had been all his life...
And second, he never knew because she never told him, never made him feel that way, never made him realize, never confessed, never admitted, never showed it by her action...NEVER!
One and maybe the only thing he actually wanted from her was that, she just had to let him know...You know, no matter how women-hater he pretended to be, he was all talks, and that too, only if the things were going wrong between them ...The second things were good between them, he would forget he ever hated women-kind and would be busy in smiling down at her, adore her and be proud of her... So he never really had an issue with her independence or freedom, he just needed to know that he was important to her...Just that...
Do you think I am being unfair to Suman? Ah, but really, her character has disappointed me so much, there was so much potential, but was wested, the whole purpose of her character changed midway and she became just another miswritten and misunderstood female character... She could have been a good perfectly modern, new age female lead, as she was meant to be since the start, if writers and Cvs wouldn't have risked her, and lost her for the sake of some drama and unneeded tracks...
