In short he is beautiful but damned...As far as the redemption track is concerned it should be a self-paved odyssey for Shravan to seek truth and clarity despite considering himself nonredeemable (with Sumo being the catalyst)...

Beautifully put Priti.word!
Btw Would love to see you write something in ShraMan...may b an OS😳

I know Rekha has seen the Pakistani drama Zindagi Gulzar Hai ...not sure if Idonko, you have seen it...
There the FL is being asked to marry the ML and she replies...I wouldnt want to marry him..because, his character is not suited to my liking. The person proposing the alliance was her and the ML's teacher and he said...after marriage he would reform...The FL said...why is that everyone expects that its a girls's duty to reform her husband...will I be given a chance to reform if i commit an error?
And this is my question as well...Why is Sumo being made to carry the torch to pave or wipe away the darkness in Shravan's life...Was she responsible for the mess...no..
Only, she could have told him few truths...
And the rest he would have to find his own way out of the clearing...
Idonko...I loved the fact...you used the example of Byronic Hero...a persona created to solve the contrarians of life...a character to deal with the foibles and follies of life...with sarcasm and wit... But in fact, a character hugely troubled by the circumstances of his life...seeking for a light that will help him shed his exterior visage to don what is intrinsic to him...Byronic hero...a character who loved deeply but never read right...
Shravan's character doesnt require a Sumo to be the beacon, it is he himself who needs to understand that the light of love that he carries forth for sumo and in the image of Sumo is enough to shine his world...that is where the journey should begin...
However, this being a fictional show and where sumo's POV is the perceptual vision...it is given that Sumo will be the catalyst...I would have preferred if that flicker of light which shone in the tentative query of Shravan "We dont love, do we?" will become more pressing ...leading him to question his own motives...

👏 I would love for that too.

As Suman said...Baba Adam ke zamane mein he is living and loving...
one reason can be he himself is not career driven. When he wrote the love letter, he was ready to go to the college where Suman would go...:O...when he got angry with her, he followed what his father wanted him to do. No career aspirations of his own. When he decided to stay back...he said he will start his own firm..but he is still working with his father...

Didn't realise we were going Anti- Shravan so strongly now.😆

Shravan is ambitious..he is also very confident- deservedly so.

And his dream had been to start something to help poor people with their cases...Money is not important for him. He'll do that when the time comes.

His assessment of Sumo- Shravan has many times deeply appreciated her dedication to her work..Just that when he goes blind, he likes to coat it as something else...He let Ramnath cloud his judgement.

Missed your post yesterday, glad you are here now.
This is such a different take and thats what I love about your posts, you offer a unique perspective and it is so refreshing 😊
I don't know if Sumo was actually his rock, his rock is actually his father.
This has been on my mind for a very long time, but I think Sumo is more than his rock, she is his raison d'tre , the Shravan we see or should I say the Shravan we don't see 😛 is because he isn't there anymore, he has disintegrated. I don't even know if I am making sense. His personal growth can only happen when he lets go of his rock, but he is not there yet, he will not be there till Ramnath's truth comes out. Sorry Shravan wrong rock 😉

Whatever this marriage brings, Shravan is going to get better, simply because he knows that she cannot be anyone else's . He will taunt her day in and day out and I see that Sumo is going to put up with it, its not new to her, after all she puts up with that in Tiwari killa as well. But I think what will get him thinking is that Sumo no longer opens up to him. If she no longer responds to his taunts he is going to panic big time. did you see the expression on his face when she said nothing ? Her silence is going to the death of the Shravan Malhotra 2.0 or whatever the latest version is.

I personally feel that the CVs have stretched this too far already and it is actually frustrating to watch these days. But hopeless romantics that we are, we are still around.

Thanks, Nith...

I was speaking what came to my mind...I feel so much with Suman actually...So I can even feel how tired she must be with these mind games...Shravan thinks she is playing chess...Poor girl doesn't even know the ABC of it! 😆

Ramnath being the rock..I'd call him the ugly moss that covers up the rock that Suman is and makes it look ugly to Shravan...also slippery...😉😆

Yeah...That is what my post had been about- his dependency on Ramnath.🤢

No person should be this dependent on someone..If something happened to Shravan, Ramnath wouldn't have gone into this kind of shock🥱. Suman - yes..She'd react like this for Shravan...

I feel if we look for heroic qualities in Shravan, we'd be disappointed...Because that is when we start defending him and launching an offensive at the other characters...I know my POV won't be welcomed by most of the forum...😳..Just stating something I feel strongly about.😉

Misogynying has gotten to extreme shaded of grey.

I feel Shravan beyond redemption, know high time for gradual process to transit into their relationship. His mental crime are actually huge, can't decipher what will lead into. The spectrum is major and CV are entangling themselves further with misunderstanding.

Hang on! 😊 😆

From then on that butterfly had been devolving into a caterpillar. Sumo lost some sheen when she agreed to Adhi's marriage. The "Sumo" wrestler died and an abla nari was born🤢

🤗

The answer to my Q! 😉😆

I remember feeling so bad for Suman when he went into that inanimate state...😲

I mean..This guy can' even take this much pressure! 😕 😆 So, that was it for me...

Suman...Yes..I had wished too that she'd be firm...Actually, more than Sumo, Nanu died for me that day! 😡 😆

Chick, Nith - you guys are going to be the death of me! Been vacillating all day, and now this! But I love it... It actually keeps the fairy tale going for a little while longer 😊 And the hopeless romantic that I am (right there with you Nith!), I still believe in Shravan. I'm mad at him right now; if I could, I'd make him get down on his knees and stay there until he figures out the Sumo-Suman conundrum that he has lost his whole self to. I still think he is her knight in shining armor, just as she is his. Do you really have to Superman/Superwoman to be someone's knight in shining armour? I think not. You can have many a weakness, but as long as you are willing to challenge those weaknesses, face your fears, and fight for me, you're my hero! And these two have always been willing to do that for each other - even in their darkest hours.

Nith, today you got me with one simple line - "Whatever this marriage brings, Shravan is going to get better, simply because he knows that she cannot be anyone else's ."
I was gobsmacked when I read that line... DUH! Of course, this emotionally unstable child (as Chick describes him 😆) needs that reassurance. He needs some kind of stability before he can collect his wits and begin his introspection, cross-questioning every witness, analyzing every situation. And there is going to be plenty of silence in that bedroom for him to begin his thinking. It's been a long time coming, but Sumo ka Shravan and Shravan ki Sumo are worth the wait - for me.
😉

👍🏼

Def worth the wait for me too! This is what I have been waiting for!

To fall in love with Shravan Malhotra again...😳

All the characters look like morons to me ATM.

Nanaji the once wise man more or less blackmailing Suman to agree to marry Aditya, Nimmo not listening to Sumo and assuming she is happy to marry 'her son', Abla Naari Suman and the super dumb, mean ML with a supposed law degree!!!!! I could go on and on...😆

Icing on the cake is the polka dotted, color blocked shirt vakil babu wore tonight. Did he really wear that or should I get my eyesight checked😆

😆 Nandy,

You are still following this! 😆

Strongly agree with the two twists you mentioned..I had been shocked into disbelief bot the times...Creative liberties!

During his intro when he said "Kaun Sumo", he was already at his worst then and he might have risen a bit but only to fall back again. Its damn clear that Sumo is the trigger of this bomb named Shravan, after marriage we're gonna get only the best of SM gradually. He seems to carry a huge complaint box but it can vanish in a moment if our magic memory box reappears.

Suman is actually the strongest character in the show. She never loses her hope in life, it might diminish momentarily but even if she sees the dimmest light in SM right there our Sumo is back... I realised something from yesterday's episode, Suman loves Shravan, she can never really either give up on her hope for a happy life or her desire to be with Shravan. It could have ended but as it din't I think she might not distance herself from him even if Adi reveals the truth. If at all she does it can be by the realisation of SM's hatred for her but not by her being disappointed in him.

10/10 for this! 👍🏼
