Idonko...Rekha...I am not even sure if the cvs have really realized the topic they are dealing with...
I know Rekha has seen the Pakistani drama Zindagi Gulzar Hai ...not sure if Idonko, you have seen it...
There the FL is being asked to marry the ML and she replies...I wouldnt want to marry him..because, his character is not suited to my liking. The person proposing the alliance was her and the ML's teacher and he said...after marriage he would reform...The FL said...why is that everyone expects that its a girls's duty to reform her husband...will I be given a chance to reform if i commit an error?
And this is my question as well...Why is Sumo being made to carry the torch to pave or wipe away the darkness in Shravan's life...Was she responsible for the mess...no..
Only, she could have told him few truths...
And the rest he would have to find his own way out of the clearing...
Idonko...I loved the fact...you used the example of Byronic Hero...a persona created to solve the contrarians of life...a character to deal with the foibles and follies of life...with sarcasm and wit... But in fact, a character hugely troubled by the circumstances of his life...seeking for a light that will help him shed his exterior visage to don what is intrinsic to him...Byronic hero...a character who loved deeply but never read right...
Shravan's character doesnt require a Sumo to be the beacon, it is he himself who needs to understand that the light of love that he carries forth for sumo and in the image of Sumo is enough to shine his world...that is where the journey should begin...
However, this being a fictional show and where sumo's POV is the perceptual vision...it is given that Sumo will be the catalyst...I would have preferred if that flicker of light which shone in the tentative query of Shravan "We dont love, do we?" will become more pressing ...leading him to question his own motives...
