So, after Rekha's explanation (however tenuous she thinks it was!), I am beginning to accept the delayed introspection in Shravan.
But what I'm terribly sore about is where is the empathy for his friend, who has just gone through a horrific episode? Not expecting him to drop all the hate (however make-believe), but I wasn't expecting to hear him spew, "It's her fault she chose Aditya," or "She's Sumo, she'll get over it..."
Totally can;t get that!
I know...Anu...but let me say this...this has been the biggest problem in Shravan...he has never believed that Sumo likes him for himself...he has always felt that he has never worth anything in her eyes...He started to get over it and fate intervened...so he has gone back to the past with a vengeance...broken and spiteful which in the past he was not..There he could try and stay a bit happy that she is his friend...she has given him a pride of place.. He had changed himself drastically after the cafe incident but this situation has winded him up so much that he has lost his bearings with a greater venom when he realised his pride of place is also lost BUT Shravan is Shravan : HE CAN't HELP HIS LOVE for SUMO...In his subconscious he will gravitate to her.
I know he's terribly winded. But that day when he overheard Sumo and Adi's conversation in her room, I liked how the real Shravan came peeking from behind the iron curtain. For a brief while, but he did. Today, I'd have liked it if he had at least kept quiet and ruminated about the possible trauma that Sumo might have to face...
I guess I just don't want to see their friendship being strangled further.
