haww! poor thing (you and him) 😆 chalo - let's see how elaborately the CVs plan to redeem shravan.
Its sad, though, and I get your point. Teenage girls find these things cute - and romantic... redeeming the quintessential bad guy, hurting her physically or emotionally but then remembering things like tulips being her best flowers. Its sad... Namik doesn't deserve to be bashed but Shravan does. To be honest, other than Lalaji, Puskhar to some extent and Vandana, no character in this show is out and out positive. Shravan's misogyny is too deep rooted, that he almost objectifies women, once, twice, again and again. Yes, he is a gentle soul deep down, but he has issues that need to be worked on. Just because his mother treated him a certain way he cannot continue to willfully objectify women like he does.
Suman on the other hand, also needs to recognize. The sad part is that in order to glorify Suman and justify her self respect, they are really butchering Shravan's character which is not required at all. They could have done so much so classily. I do not understand the need for extremes.
If i was a CV, I would have shown Suman distancing herself from Shravan and actually getting close to Adi , so to say that his jealousy would be slightly justified, and him simply frustrated with her for doing this to him. No back-hand comments, no PCT drama, no nothing. Just a subtle realization that she was selfish and may have used his friendship - a small fight, but not the huge hangama they did. That would have sufficed. And, then the next thing could have been AdiMan marriage announcement, which would have hurt Shravan (that Sumo moved on so quickly or how insignificant he is in her life...) the drunken frustration that night would have been justified, again he didn't need to do the whole bedroom drama, just showing his frustration with Suman... and his own frustration for being a nothing in Suman's life...
The whole PCT - drunken - I hate you - drunken again - now i want to help you in your marriage to get rid of you is so inconsistent... They could have just built on his silent anger.
Today also was unnecessary, even if Nirmala irked him, because Shravan's biggest need of the hour is to love Suman more than he hates Nirmala... To see Suman as her own person, and give her the respect she deserves... He could have simply said something to Aditya that they were really close as friends, and nothing beyond that... would have made more sense to show Aditya has insecurities... ShraMan are already sitting on a volcano of misunderstandings, we didn't need one more.
Shravan's character arc and Suman's too has been very inconsistent since Aditya's entry - and I guess CVs are lost where they want to go with it (though they keep releasing videos of how they have it under control).
Nirmala, the less I say the better. She seriously seriously needs to SAY SORRY TO SHRAVAN.
Today's episode was totally uncalled for, and now the whole excitement about ChomuDhulai for me has died down. It is like the parallel with the accident track where Shravan cared for Suman out of guilt, but still... There is no redemption to this (because he let down sumo the friend, not the lover), but if Shravan fesses this up to Sumo, and they have a real face off... a real real one where both can hammer sense into each other's thick thick skulls then atleast the story moves forward... Otherwise this is perfect ingredient for another hate track which i am so fed up off. 140 episodes almost and we haven't moved one bit...
Aditya on the other hand does not surprise me. From day one he has been in your face, impatient and insensitive.
