His past has left very strong visible marks on his persona and because of this, the epicentre of his world rests in him and his relationships begin at this centre. If something goes wrong along the way, Shravan traces it back to the start, to its beginning (the epicentre) - HIM. It is only when he begins to look outside of his self that he will see and appreciate different points of view and he will know that the world is not out to get just him, that others (Sumo included) have rough days, good days and compulsions and reasons that explain their behaviour. Thats when love can progress and take its steady (not faltering) steps towards happily ever after.

Beagleboy...
U have highlighted the issue perfectly ...but I have a question...

Can Shravan's issues be resolved by him knowing that Sumo loved him and Nirmala was forced to leave due to Ram's actions...

Wouldn't the actions of Ram cause greater upheaval in his life...knowing the man he trusted schemed (whatever be the provocation and understanding) to keep the women out of his life?

I have the same question - will that not break down his ability to trust completely? i mean his last straw would turn out to be an illusion (a nightmare rather).

Bingo Rekha...
Shravan's pillar of truth is the master manipulator.. That's going to be the final nail in his coffin... He has to face that n emerge a winner...

Which is why I said that treating misogyny as an issue which the CVs have taken up as the dark epi shows today is ambitious...

Its like treating an affliction that requires surgery with a bandaid.

U make the guy cringeworthy...and then make him realise how wrong he was...by making the women in the serial "teach" him a lesson figuratively...fantastic...Lessons learnt...Guy turns over a new leaf...but Hey...is that the only problem? 😡 who cares...

No Rosh,

My reading of Ram's character has been different...Yes he is all that u say but in the issue of Ram_Nir...Shravan...I hold Nir more accountable to the narrative...meaning Shravan ..The RAm_Nir issue is different...Nirmala may be right in the approach in walking out on her husband...but in walking out on her son and not looking back does not cut ice on any grounds even in the narrative considering she was fostering another kid...

In fact, i have another question
When Shravan comes to know his father is the main cause of the two women staying away from his life..will that change the way he looks at womenfolk
because today he described two other women...Kamini and Vandy...however bad these women might be...they were also clubbed under a label of selfishness and using their charms to gain something for their own benefit...They were also lookd down by Shravan as crass and cheap...because they were women

@sanfan - yup and its frustrating!
they will be playing out suman earlier dialogue (jeevan track) - "tum bhi yahi ho, mahi yahi hoon - ekdin main tumhe ehsaas dilayungi ke har aurat matlabi nahin hoti hai"

and yes - in the process they will trivialize a problem as deep as mysoginy - cured by a mere best case example 👏 - don;t think CVs understand the gravity of the problem shravan has i guess.

because what the guy mouthed today about women-bedroom-payment etc in one breath is a culmination of things beyond a simple revelation of some key truths.

today showed that Shravan does have cancer - and its not sumo - and it needs chemotherapy.

The way I see it, Shravan is more emotionally linked to Nirmals and Sumo than he is, has ever been or will be with Ramnath. Ramnath is his father, he loves and respects him and leans on him because, the way he sees it, his father was the last solider standing supporting him, protecting him- the general having left the battlefield. So, yes it will come as a shock. And it will pierce like the thorn that has gone into his foot but refuses to come out. But it will not break him - because along with that truth he will learn another truth, an all important one that haunted him all his life- that his mother did not leave him, and that sumo was always by his side. This will give him the power to deal with Ramnath's betrayal. And from what I have seen and understood of Shravan and the story, it will not end the father son relationship. It will sour the relationship and create a distance, but it will not break it.
