Hello Everyone. I am a silent reader and absolutely love every single piece that you guys write on our Shraman. I am in love with them onscreen and off-screen and of course with EDKV. Acc to the ongoing track, something came in my mind and I just thought of writing it down as a Two Shot.
Ok, so in this story, Nirmala is not aware that Sumo and Shravan have any kinda feelings for each other. Coz it is a two shot, I will also rush through the story.
Please forgive me if u'll get bored coz I am not a writer, I usually write only in my diary :-p
So here is Part 1...
Everyone is hell worried for Shravan and he is peacefully sleeping in his car in the middle of the road at 2 in the night. He is so peaceful, he doesn't care for anything in the world right now coz he is happy that he made his Sumo smile when she was upset and he managed to put her to sleep even if it was thru the phone, although he so badly wanted to hug her and console her and put her to sleep in his arms.
Sumo found him, she was banging on the car window like a mad woman, when he came out, she heaved a sigh of relief seeing that he is fine. She was not in her senses coz she was so damn worried for him and so all that came out of her mouth were incoherent sentences. But Shravan understood what she was trying to say. But what surprised him was that she suddenly hugged him and started crying. She asked him to promise her that he will never do such a thing again. He was groggy coz he just woke up from a peaceful sleep after days, peaceful coz he and Sumo had a conversation like old days after a long long time, she wasn't avoiding him like how she was in the past few days. He promised her saying "Theek hai baba, aisa phir kabhi nahi karunga, promise, ok?" He realized she was still crying and so he wrapped his arms around her trying to calm her down. He was leaning against his car for support. Just then Pushkar and Ramnath came there and Ramnath was shocked and angry at the same time seeing the scene in front of him. Pushkar though was quite happy.
Ramnath scolded Shravan for being careless and asked both the boys to go home. He said he will go to drop Sumo home. The boys insisted that they can drop her but he was adamant. On the way back, he asked Sumo whether she has forgotten about her promise. He also threatened her that Pushkar & Preeti are not yet married and he can call off the marriage whenever he wants. But Sumo replied in a very calm tone, "Uncle, maine aapse promise kiya tha k mai Shravan ko ye nai bataungi that I love him but ye nai kaha tha k usse pyar karna band kar dungi, pyar toh ho gaya na, ab kya karu uska?" Ramnath didn't stretch the topic and after dropping her, thought to himself k kuch toh karna padega.
Meanwhile, everyone in Tiwari Killa got to know that Adi is Nirmala's adopted son. Adi told Nirmala that he loves Sumo. She was very happy coz she always adored Sumo. She thought she will talk to Tiwariji about it soon as she is in Delhi for the next couple of days. Nanaji was anyway worried about Sumo's marriage since the day Mami made the decision of settling in USA after Preeti's wedding. So when Nirmala put forth the wedding proposal, he happily agreed but said he will ask Suman once. He actually liked Shravan for Sumo but those two never mentioned that they were anything more than friends plus the whole class difference fiasco that Kamini had started during Preekar's marriage got Nanaji thinking against it and so he agreed for Adi and Sumo's marriage. Plus Adi being brought up by Nirmala, Nanaji had no doubts regarding him. Now only, Sumo's consent was required.
Days passed by and Sumo had again started avoiding Shravan. Shravan was confused coz he had thought that things were back to normal after that day but no, he was wrong. Sumo was again behaving weird and being distant. He tried talking to her but now the wedding being only 3-4 days away, Sumo alwaz made excuses of being super busy and ran away. Shravan was getting restless.
Just a day before Preekar's wedding, Nanaji met Ramnath and asked him for his suggestion regarding Adi and Sumo's marriage proposal. He did not tell him about Adi being Nirmala's adopted son, so Ramnath just knew him as Pushkar's friend. Ramnath did not want Suman to be married to any wrong guy, he did not hate her, he just wanted her to be away from his son. So he thought about it. He came to the conclusion that Adi is a good guy, Pushkar knows him since a long time and always praises him. He had also noticed that Adi likes her. So he told Tiwariji to go ahead. On the other hand, he was also happy that now Sumo will be permanently out of his son's life.
After Tiwariji left, Ramnath made a call to Sumo and told her, "Kal Pushkar aur Preeti ki shaadi hai, agar tum chahti ho ke ye shadi ho, toh meri baat maan lo. Aaj Tiwariji tumse kuch puchenge, chupchap haan kar dena, agar tumne na kiya, toh yaad rakhna, Pushkar aur Preeti ki shadi nai hone dunga mai!" Sumo was baffled. What is Ramnath Uncle upto now she thought.
That night, Tiwariji called Sumo to his room and told her about the proposal. She was shattered, she now understood what Ramnath uncle was talking about. She didn't think he would go to this extent. She thought of being selfish for once and refusing. But then, the happiness on her sister's face was all she could think about. She could not be that selfish. For her own happiness, she can't ruin her sister's life. She stood like a statue. Nanaji asked her again and without any emotion, she replied, "Jaisa aap thik samjhe Nanu". Her nanu was so happy that he did not notice the pain on her face and in her voice. Nanaji told her that he will give everyone the good news, even to Nirmala and Adi after Preekar's wedding.
Sumo came to her room. She had become a patthar. She didn't know how to react. Her world was destroyed in a moment. She couldn't believe how fate could be so cruel with her. She wanted to scream but no words came out, she wanted to cry but no tears fell from her eyes. She just lied down on her bed and kept staring at the ceiling and thinking about her moments with Shravan.
Next day, Sumo engaged herself with the wedding related activities and avoided Shravan completely. Shravan could sense something is really wrong with her, she looked sick. The wedding happened smoothly without any problems and Kamini vowed that she will take revenge from Ramnath by getting Sumo and Shravan married anyhow.
After the wedding, everyone was very tired and after reaching home, went to sleep. Sumo however had stayed back at the venue that she had booked for the wedding. She had stayed back to pack things up and would come home later. By the time everything was done, it was late night. Now that everything was over, Sumo had nothing to busy herself with and the feeling started sinking in that she will get married to Adi and not Shravan whom she loves so much, that she will have to let go of her dream of telling Shravan how much she loves him, of hearing those 3 words from him, she will have to let go of the dream of spending her whole life with Shravan.
She couldn't control anymore and tears started to fall out. She started feeling nauseous and breathless. She could feel the pain physically; her entire body was shivering and aching. She desperately needed fresh air or she would faint. She headed for the terrace.
Shravan had sneaked out of his home and had come back to the venue to help Sumo and also to talk to her. He couldn't find her at that time and so was sitting on the terrace alone engrossed in his thoughts. Suddenly, he heard someone coming there. He turned to see that it was Sumo. He automatically smiled but his smile vanished seeing the condition she was in. He came near her and asked her "Kya hua Sumo? R u ok?"
Sumo saw him and could not utter a single word. She was not in a position to think at that time. She did not think why he was here or what was he asking her. All she knew at that moment was that she needed him, she needed comfort. So without answering his ques, she straightaway asked him in a low voice, "Shravan, can u plz hug me for some time, Plz?"
Shravan had panicked seeing her like that, she asked him in a barely audible voice to hug her, if there were more people around, he wouldn't even have heard her. But still, inspite of the mere whisper, he could make out that she was having trouble in breathing, leave alone speaking, she was shivering and had been crying for a while it seemed. He immediately took her in his protective embrace and started rubbing his hands on her back to calm her down. But as soon as she came in his arms, all pent up emotions came out and she began crying hysterically. Shravan was hell worried, he said, "Sumo, kya hua hai? Plz batao mujhe wats wrong?"
Sumo spoke after sometime and stuttered while speaking, "Shra...Shravan..." "Haan Sumo, bolo, mai sun raha hun" all the while he kept caressing her hair and back, trying to soothe her.
"Shravan mai itne dino se tumhare sath jaise behave kar rahi hu, uske baad mujhe koi haq nai hai k abhi jab mujhe tumhari zarurat hai toh mai apna dard baantne tumhare paas aau, mai bohot selfish ho rahi hu i know but mai kahan jau Shravan, koi nai h mere paas tumhare alawa jo mujhe samjhe, bohot akela feel kar rahi hu mai"
"Shut up Sumo, tum aisa soch bhi kaise sakti ho, pura haq hai tumhara mujh par, maine diya hai tumhe wo haq. Hamari ladai koi pehli baar nai hui h, bachpan se hum aise hi to hain, ladte hain lekin ek dusre ka sath kabhi nai chodte, toh aaj tumne kaise soch liya k mai tumhe akela chod dunga? Ab rona band karo aur batao mujhe k kya hua hai?"
He was still hugging her.
"Shravan mai thak chuki hu, aur bardaasht nai hota mujhse. I can't take dis pain anymore. Hamesha mai q? Sare sacrifices mai q karu? Kya mujhe khush rehne ka koi haq nai hai? Jitni baar tumhe hurt karti hu, utni baar tumse zyada dard mujhe hota h, par mai kya karu? Mai majboor hu, par ab bardaasht nai hota Shravan."
"Toh q de rahi ho apne aap ko itni taklif? Aur kaunsi majburi Sumo? Plz batao mujhe, kya hai aisa jo tumhe mujhse door rakh raha hai?"
Suman was still in his arms but now she was in a little better condition and she realized what had she blurted out while crying without even thinking.
He tried to move her away to look at her face but she held on to him and was clutching his blazer tightly.
"Sumo batao mujhe kya chal raha hai"
Suman said "Shravan plz is waqt bas mere sath raho, plz mujhse aise sawal mat karo jinke jawab mai tumhe nahi de sakti."
Shravan saw her situation and thought of asking her later.
Sumo said "Mamma papa mujhe chodkar chale gaye, nanu chodkar jane ki baat kar rahe hain, mamaji mamiji US shift ho rahe hain, ab mujhe pata hai k tum bhi mujhse itni nafrat karoge k tum bhi bohot door kar doge mujhe khud se."
Sumo started crying badly again and Shravan made her sit down and took her in his lap and hugged her again. He made her drink water from a water bottle kept nearby.
He was caressing her hair and kissed her head and said "Sumo, mai tumse dur reh hi nai sakta aur nafrat? Shayad khud se kar lu par tumse, kabhi nai. Aur mai tumhe chodkar kahin nai jaunga, kabhi bhi nai. Yahin hu abhi tumhaare paas aur aage bhi hamesha rahunga."
Sumo's crying was not stopping. She had too much pain and hurt stored and it was all coming out.
Shravan's eyes were moist now, tears threatening to come out, "Sumo, sshhh, plz chup ho jao, I can't see u like dis." Shravan hugged her tightly, covered her wid her blazer and kissed her on her head again. He rocked her back and forth like a baby. After sometime, her crying stopped, her breathing was even, Shravan saw that she had fallen asleep in his arms, on his lap. He leaned onto the wall behind taking support and closed his eyes. He heard her mumbling, "Shravan plz mujhe maaf kar do, i had to do this." He was sure something is terribly wrong. He promised himself that he will find out what is troubling his love so much. He knew for sure that she loved him too. She had shown that on many instances. He thought to himself "tum meri zindagi ho Sumo, har khushi ka haq hai tumhe aur mai dunga tumhe sari khushiyan, ye mera waada hai tumse aur khud se bhi"
She was in his lap, clutching his shirt tightly. He lovingly removed the fringes from her face and carefully hugged her like she was a delicate, fragile doll, leaned into the wall and dozed off in the same position.
That's the 1st part guys, too long, sorry for that.
