She is not getting lost in Aditya. Aditya is moony over her..she is just looking for a support from a friend. She can't get close to Shravan who anyway criticises her for everything otherwise too..Pushkar is busy in his wedding...the guy genuinely offers her advice about her small business venture...if Shravan can't take a girl getting friendly with a guy who is not her husband/ lover...that is his problem.

Even if he confessed what is wrong with Sumo having a man as a friend? I think that was the base of Ramnaths problem.

Exactly.

It is scary to see Shravan turn himself into a Ramnath clone like this.

This is not who Shravan is. He is just being influenced..to the extent he can't even see what Pushkar is trying to tell him when he tells him not to interfere with Suman's plans...

But what is really scary is that Ramnath has succeeded in making a puppet out of Shravan.

Esp the way he REFUSED TO BELIEVE SUMAN DIDN'T KNOW THE GUY...

I think she covered for him due to her guilt. She is harsh with him to push him away from her. All thanks to Ramnath and that guilt makes her do what she did.

On the one hand i guess some of us are too enamored of Namik that we end up being sorry for him and forget to look past Namik in Shravan 😊. On the other hand some of us are traditional and kind of go with old school of dos and donts. That sure would make Sumo look bad. But from a feminist perspective she is not wrong.

For someone who has lived in London for 10 years... Shravan sure sounds like a masochist... he was not this in his teens bk in india. London sure has not been all good for him 😉

On a serious note. He needs to grow up. He loves his chachi cause he thinks she is a better mother and has doubts about sumo as she does not fall easily into his plans. He is thus loaded with negativity today because of 2 ppl in his life, ramu and nimmy.

Till he is ready to look back he would never look forward. Neither would he have the peace and happiness that he really craves for...

Hey Soup. Great post. I am out of town travelling so have not been able to watch the latest episode. I too think that until Shravan addresses the "Nirmala" issue, he can never move forward. That is why I wrote a story where he does just that. (I am yet to finish it, but I will soon). In my story now Sharvan and Nirmala have reunited and patched up.

Shravan has major trust issues! Ramnath is an ace jerk and is imposing HIS warped views of women and marriage in his son. He is poisoning his mind. He doesn't like Suman for Shravan coz she is independent and has a career. He thinks women like KAMINI are better? THAT is like the biggest joke ever! If he only knew what a terrible person she really is? How cunning and conniving and uncaring towards him and his son. How they are just a means to an end for her! A way to live a lifestyle that if not for him, would not be possible for her. Kamini is NOT from a posh background. (No offence but she doesn't even speak proper English). She is living off the glory of her brother in law. I despise her and her type. They never do a days work, but insult people who make their money themselves. Suman has more "Aukad" than she ever will. Suman has her OWN money? What does she have? But can Ramanath see though her fakeness? No! Shravan could. (He always knew she didn't care much for him). But now acts like her Fan, all thanks to his Dad's poisoning of his mind. We saw him at the start defer to her, mostly coz he thought she was a good Mother and understood her sentiments towards her children, and wanting them to have more in life. (Even at his expense). But now he actually acts like she is a good PERSON? He must be cracked and that is thanks to his Dad!

Sorry I know I went off tropic for sometime. But the fact is, I think the MAIN issue here is Shravan's warped view of women. His father has filled his head with ideas of how women "should" be, and how he should never marry a woman like his Mother, is the biggest hurdle to SHRAMAN. Shravan is just not "getting" it. I understand Suman takes the self respect thing too far sometimes and fails to understand where Shravan is coming from! But I GET her totally! I was actually just like her and still am. I will never let anyone bail me out of situations or try to "save" me. I would rather do it to the best of my abilities. In Suman's shoes I would also have refused to take Shravan's money or his help. (If like you said he had offered it more upfront about the hall, like the discount for people who are recommended) maybe Suman may have been more malleable. But when she realised Shravan had plotted with the hall guy, she was offended! But I understand why Shravan wanted the better place. He wanted Kameeni to keep her mouth shut and be happy for once!

Even I don't mind this guy as long as he is not forced down our throats and made into a permenent fixture like some characters become in shows who were supposed to be guest appearances or cameos. If he serves his purpose then I am OK with it. I have not seen his episode yet, but saw his intro. (Didn't like it). But I think he may still be a good addition to this already over complicated situation. He may just simplify it!
