"Khichdi?" Suman made a face sulking.

"It's not normal khichdi. I cooked it so taste it and then decide" I said confidently.

"Itna confidence? But can khichdi ever taste good?"She nagged.

I glared at her. She took a bite still with that sulky face.

"Ummm.. Its so good!" She looked at me surprised.

"Told you!" I was proud of cooking skills.

"Why does it taste good. What did you put in it?"She asked taking one more bite.

"Some Italian seasoning." I winked.

"What/? Italian seasoning in khichdi? You are weird doc! But gotta admit, it does taste good." She said.

"Wow! You must be a chef with your experiments and all." She added.

I smiled.

"Your house is so clean. Is it even a bachelor pad?" She made a face.

"I am a neat freak." I said.

"How perfect are you?" She laughed, "It feels good to have someone cook for me. Its so sad cooking for myself all the time" She said.

"Hello. Everyone needs to cook for themselves okay?"I said.

"Common! I saw your mom sending lunch boxes for you. Don't act so bechara!" She said making a face.

"Playstation?" I upped my brows.

"Wowww..." jumped. And the next moment we know we are fighting crazily over a virtual tennis ball as our lives depended on it. She is so energetic.

"You lose..you lose..yeyy!" She screamed winning the last set.

"Pheww.." I sat down on the sofa tired.

"I could live in your house forever. It's so much fun." She said.

"I am so cool then I guess" I tried to sneak in some compliments from her.

"Nope. You are boring. I just love your Playstation" She said triumphantly.

"Then buy yourself one. Leave this remote" I tried to grab the remote from her hands.

There started our clichd remote fight.

We heard someone typing the pin into the lockpad to enter.

"Hello Bhai..'Ani entered in cheerfully only to get silenced by seeing Suman over there

"Hey!" I said.

"Hey Bhai. Hey Suman!" He said finally.

"Hey Aniket. How have you been doing?" She asked normally.

We three sat in silence beside each other for few minutes. The awkward silence was too much.

"Mom sent you palak rotis and subzi."He said passing a dhabba.

"Can I try?"Suman asked taking the box into her hands already.

No sooner she started eating. Aniket looked at her in shock and I in disbelief.

She grinned at us leaving only one bite each and finishing the rest.

"What? You eat them everyday!" She pouted.

It was so hard to suppress my smile.

"Aniket are you awkward with me?" She asked startling him.

"Uhh? No No!" He said laughing awkwardly.

"Are you in touch with Aditya?" He also asked out of nowhere.

"Nope!" She said shrugging.

"It was so hard to handle him after the breakup!" His friend's struggle got him speaking.

I sighed at him for bringing it up.

"Really? I thought he is happy with the one he likes!" She said casually.

"What?" He asked.

"Yeah! We broke up. Because he cheated on me" She said.

"What? No way! I would know if that was the case. I am sure you misunderstood." He said shocked at the new revelation.

"He admitted it." She said.

"I can't believe it! Do you know who she is btw?" He asked still surprised.

"She is your classmate too. Her name is Manya." She said.

Me and Ani looked at her dumbfounded unable to believe what we just heard.

"Manya, you say?" I asked her to make sure if I heard correctly. Poor Aniket is still in shock.

"Yeah! Why are you guys so shocked? Do you know her too doc?" She asked.

"She is my ex!" Aniket said coldly startling her.

"She broke up with me not a week ago saying she was not happy with him anymore." He added.

"Uh! That's sad." She said awkwardly looking at me in confusion.

"How could they do this to me? He is my best friend and she was someone I love" He ranted in disbelief.

"That sucks!" She said patting his shoulder.

"I have to confront them. They are so dead" Aniket stood up.

Shit! This is trouble. He is so angry that he could hit them. I needed to stop him.

"Ani, calm down!" I said stopping him.

"How can I? Leave me" He said trying to leave my grip.

"There is no point Aniket. She is already your past" Suman said standing up.

"So? Should I shut up?" He asked angrily.

"Nope! You should confront them. Not in this state though." She said.

I looked at both of them in confusion.

"Relieve your anger. You need to deal this coolly. Trust me I have been there. Don't show your weakness to them. They don't even deserve your anger." She said.

He calmed down a bit.

"I know what to do!" She said going to the fridge and getting out a beer case.

She went through my fridge and knows I have beer. How sneaky?

"This is the answer! Let's drink and get it all out" She said.

"Bad idea!" I butted in.

I don't want to handle two drunk broken hearts nagging and crying.

"It's okay doc! He needs this." She said and I sighed.

After a couple of hours filled with yelling, nagging, wailing of Ani and a cool and calm but still drunk Suman urging him to let it all out and I sitting there at the mess they created in my house. Ughh I have a lot to clean up tomorrow.

"You know how I met manya?" Aniket started to tell the story of HOW I MET MANYA' for the fifth time all over again and Suman just nodding and nodding too drunk to notice anything.

"Ani! Enough! You guys need to sleep." I said shutting him up.

Suman just kept nodding her head to anything and everything.

After spending half an hour to shut Ani up put him to sleep, I saw Suman sitting cross-legged on the sofa nodding her head randomly as if she is listening to something.

I sighed at her. Look at her sitting so peacefully after making Ani drunk and he wreaked havoc in here. Suman you are something. I went to her and tapped on her shoulder and the next moment her head was on my hand and she was in slumber. I picked her up and put her on my bed and covered her with a blanket and looked at her clutching the blanket tighter. She is like a naughty kid who causes trouble but gets away with it because she is cute. I switched off he lights and went to sleep on the sofa as Ani will not let anybody with him sleep today. Wah! It was an eventful day.
