So when the Ramnath - Nirmala drama played out this week and then i read the spoilers about Ramnath turning against suman - it got me thinking.
Its the first time I've seen the villain is the FATHER!!.
Usually its filled with Saas - Bahu fighting.
This show has really brought some "first timers" to the industry in terms of storylines.
Another is making the FL a strong, independent , no nonsense woman but still venerable inside.
Also a first for me is that the ML is a MCP but he is not overbearing with it - he has his insecurities and is not ashamed to show them - i totally love this.

Have you guys noticed any other "first times" in the show that i missed.

I am absolutely proud to be a fan of this show

Watch kitni mohabbat hai s1... Father is the villian.. Surprisingly satyajith Sir is the father in kmh also.. He wad over possessive for his son and the mother's situation was the same eventhough she was a bit more justified than nirmala...

This show is unique in the way they have selected their casts.
Look at every parent-offspring in show, the biological characteristics have been thought thru. Shravan- both parents tall, varun looks like lalaji's real son (shape of face and hair), Pushkar has similarity with Chachi's features. Preeti with Mami and Daboo, mama and mami combo. Suman and her mom- facial similarities are there in the shape of face and and hair.
Makes the show look even more realistic.

This is the first time where the Past itself is a character. One which at times threatens to overpower the present, at times to have a dialogue with the present, at times to magically recreate a new understanding of the present, at times the ghostly whispers of the past seems to shout and scream and at times, the past sings a lullaby for the present
It is the past which in this show is not dead but alive and brimming with life which makes the lead characters far more interesting than it would have been otherwise

I think the father aspect is quite similar to KMH1...there too first the father of the guy and girl are on good terms and then things turn sour...and in turn this is like the movie Taal.
One thing which I find unique in EDKV is the childhood friendship angle...I think its makes ShraMan's bond go way beyond the egos of adulthood and bitterness b/w elders. The strange thing is that none of Shravan's parents ever knew he ever had such strong feelings for a girl almost since teenage. And that aspect of shraman is most exclusive to them...like thats something only they know abt. It makes their bond and connection stronger than most can even imagine. Their childhood friendship is that anchor that will keep them closer even if they go totally against each other as adults.

I am not quite sure about a lot of first timers because I haven't watched many Hindi tv shows. However, one thing that stands out significantly is the fact that this show stays far, far away from clichs. They never show the typical stereotypes of every other soap opera. That realistic aspect in this show is very intriguing!
