It's like when your system has just short circuited and you are getting suffocated and just cannot find a vent or any sort of respite. It is like your body's mechanism to handle pain. Stimuli to a pain that is not physical.

Guys you forget everything when something like this happens. This is ur parent for Gods sake not someone you knew off 2 seconds. The reactions are different for each person. When my Aunty passed away, my other Aunty was inconsolable. She nearly lost conciseness and it was so hard to control her. The thing about his fractured or sprained leg would not have mattered to him. The sprain will heal but the pain of losing ur parent nerve will. This isn't OTTness, it's reality!
