So, Today marks the 50 episodes completion of one of the finest rather I would say realistic-logical-sensible-simplistic shows ever made on Indian Television. Firstly, Congratulations to all the cast, crew and every person associated with the show who has made the show what it is today. Thank you for giving us this amazing show and Shravan-Sumo. Love each and every character in the show and the amazing direction. Special mention to the casting director. I think every actor is so well apt for their characters.
When this show was launched, I had absolutely no clue neither about the show nor the leads. I didn't even know what their names were. I thought it to be a random show with no star cast. And then one day I watched it about 2-3 weeks after it was launched and bang on, I was like how did i miss this show for this long. The amazing chemistry between the leads is what drew me to the show and after watching all the episodes at a single go, I fell in love with the show head over heels. During the holi episode, Shravan's crying scene drew my attention to the most amazing and sensitive direction. Common guys nobody shows a male lead crying that too over the pain female lead is going through and the emotional sentiments she associates with her mother's jewellery. There after, every scene, every piece of acting made me think how natural and realistic the show and the actors are. Love Kamini-vandy duo Shravan-Pushkar infact every bond that all the characters share with each other.
The best part about the show is the very simple taking. The make-up, the costumes are in tune with their characters for all we know the characters belonging to not so financially stable backgrounds do wear extravagant costumes and organize and enjoy lavish parties in majority of the tv shows. Characters like Chachi- mami are grey in nature not completely negative. Circumstances do make them grey and they are not born negative people whose only work is plotting against the leads. I love how they show Shravan-Sumo as not so perfect individuals. No person in this world is perfect. Every person is faulty and has done his/her fair share of mistakes.
Now coming to Shravan-sumo. Sumo's characterization is done perfectly how she is submissive in her home due to the indebtedness of her mama-mami but she she is still the Sumo outside her home and likes to take charge of the situations. In a time when hero-heroine have eye-locks for hours together and are all over each other for reasons only known to them, Shravan-sumo's gradual progression from friendship-to-love is what we all want to watch. Namik-Nikita are so wonderful actors that they have given life to the the characters.
In an era when the quality of content being telecasted on tv is diminishing very fast and the Television is dominated by , meaning less logic-less unrealistic and over the board drama, Supernatural elements like dayan, naagin and never-ending saas-bahu kitchen politics, shows like Ek Duje Ke Vaaste is all we have ever wanted. This is the kind of content we need on Indian Television. A very big thank you to the PH and Sony tv for giving us this fantastic show.
After every episode I think that this can't get better and every day I'm proven wrong. Please continue the good work and make us fall in love with the show more than ever. All the best for the future and hope you guys reach many more milestones like this.
