Indrani, this is a top-notch analysis. So, meticulously written. It's not about Shravan's or Suman's journey. From now on it's a journey of them together, for together, with togetherness.
It is never that only one of them steps forward to reach other. Both should reach out for each other. Shravan has already taken his baby steps forward... Its now Suman's turn... In the real sense.

But, the fact is he also avoided going to India in the first place because of her. Because she hurt him ,she didnt value him and she didnt respect his friendship .. in all it is 'she'? Ten years you remain with a hurt. probably it was pride or deep-seated resentment.. yet it remained. And it did spill out, overflowed rather, ever too easily. Just by certain Miss Sumo calling him bhagoda and there he was rushing to give her a dose of his medicines. He did change his whole personality for her... from being nerdy to that of being a charming man. Transformation someone...😉

The question is why is he reading it all too differently? Because the CVs want to stretch the track? 😆

Or is it in keeping with his character? I remembered one incident, when Sumo paid his dues of 3 lacs, he was again quite nonchalant about it, yet when they were engaged in that Tom and Jerry chase he was absolutely besotted with her.

The man wants to act indifferent.. friendzone her... and Sumo being Sumo is not going to help either. So, Shravan Malhotra has to step out and create new signposts, new sidenotes to bring him, and in turn, pushing Sumo to travel together in each others presence under a new name, Love.

Seems like Shravan would have to write again a new love letter😉

Old one doesnt really seemed to have helped, yet he is not willing to let go of it either. Keeping it under lock and key😛

Poor lad, is speaking French when chaste Hindi would do😆

Yes, they need to travel together, ride together in each other's presence and make it their personal narrative. understanding it through their own ways yet possibly arriving at the same destination that friendship is another name for love

Ten years back too, they had run around each other..shared so much...and he had seen too much into it...when clearly, she is only putting it together NOW that he is her very best friend...something he knew all those years back...so what has changed?

She missed a friend, waited for a friend, and is glad to welcome back a friend...Should he read too much in to it???- To be disappointed and devastated again! Once bitten, twice shy?😉

This is the beauty of this couple.❤️

He breaks our hearts along with Sumo's...yet we cannot help but smile at the little things that make him grin like an idiot...Do we need more proof that he is in love? 😉😆

True ... his antics and his child like enthusiasm in getting back his lovely girl (at the moment toy, it would be😆) was infectious ... We dont need a proof do we... but Sumo does

I guess there will be a scene in the near future when both shall visit Tom uncle's place alone and sit on that rickshaw again... and the sidenotes they then write or read will definitely lead them to the conclusion we want them to... yet I hope they might not be too late

That rickshaw scene shall forever be etched on my mind... a symbol of pure, unadulterated love... there was so much peace and contentment... yet

How much will Sumo crave for this serenity in the din, the hustle and bustle of her life?

And how much will Shravan rue the fact that he did not spell out his friendship in far more clearer terms?

Im afraid I have exhausted all my words on this topic and I have little to add to what you have to say. I am truly not disposed to analysing in depth why characters in a series react in a certain way, but occasionally I like certain shows or characters.

I really do not think they have developed Sumo's character very well. Emotionally, she seems like a fliberty jibbet. I have never really seen her as in love with Shravan. Preetha's propaganda may coerce her into thinking she is, but as a viewer I am confused and don't understand the depth of her feelings. Perhaps it is a bit premature, and the creatives will throw more light on this.

Shravan's attachment to Suman is endearing, but it was he, who was always emotionally drawn to Sumo. And still is. Ofcourse, Sumo loves her friend. But I love my friends too, many of them. And there is a huge difference between loving your friend and being in love with your friend. From what we have seen so far, I can deduce that Suman loves Shravan, but I haven't seen that she is in love with him. Where as Shravan is always shown as being in love with her. His expressions, actions and reactions all scream out and confess on his behalf.

Now every human holds secrets. No one is an open or even a half open book. And it is not necessary to pour out all your secrets to your BFF, no matter how close. So, I guess Shravan is entitled to his little secret and to be honest he has valid reasons to keep it to himself. If Sumo really feels the love, she would need to ferret it out WITHOUT the unnecessary impetus from Preetha, which is bothersome.
