Forever lasting

The word was used in many instances today. But its usage was quite apt in relation to the context of today's episode. Whilst many were apprehensive about what Shravan may ask as his fee donation from Suman, he asked for something that would always remain everlasting between the two of them. Something which would last longer than any kiss, longer than any embrace or longer than any bouquet of flowers. He asked for something which would assure he wouldn't lose anything else which was close to his heart ever again.

He asked for Suman. His friend. Her friendship towards him. A bond they've shared for what seems like an eternity. A relationship he knows he can blindly trust.

The bond of their friendship is something so pure and innocent. No room for dishonesty, grudges or jealousy. It's a selfless relationship they share and it's perhaps the one relationship he is sure of never leaving his side. He knows for as long as they remain friends, he will always have someone to share his grievance with. Someone who would guide him to be the best son he could be to his family. Someone who would guide him to balance the mindly decision and hearty emotions when times will become difficult.

I see the love he carries for her in his eyes. They are silent whispers which have never been spoken by his trembling lips for he fears that if she doesn't feel the same way, he may lose everything he has. Even the lifelong friendship which he wishes to share with her. So he bets on something he is sure to win. Her friendship. He wants to protect this selfless bond they share as friends and for that he is ready to silent those confessions of love which his heart is so desperate to speak.

And there she is. Somewhat guilty of how she's behaved with the one person who's named her his best friend of all times. She feels a little angered at the thought of having left him alone in the past and she feels today is the perfect day to make up for each and every time she's hurt her dearer than life friend. She's ready to mute her words of love and gift him these moments of happiness he is experiencing upon knowing that they are about to start their journey of friendship again with a fresh chapter. She feels that she must protect, respect and safeguard every emotion he feels at this stage because his happiness, is her priority at this stage. If this friendship is what amplifies his hapoiness, she is ready to wipe away all the other emotions she's developed for him within and be the selfless friend that she hasn't been able to be all these years.

Years have gone by, yet their friendship still remains as innocent and virtuous it was eleven years ago. However it is the love today which has made them evolve into becoming such selfless friends. It is the love which has allowed them to trust each other with their lives through this bond of friendship. And it is the love which is making room for a friendship which promises to last a lifetime.

They will always put each other before themselves. That's for sure. Interesting would be to see how the two families will eventually react when revelations are finally made of how this bond of friendship has transitioned into beautiful shades of love.

It was probably one of the best episodes of EDKV. I loved it. The moment he came back for her, I knew he was here to stay. In spite of everything that had happened, he could never leave her, especially when she is at her lowest. From then to this day, they laid a firm foundation to their friendship. The beauty of it is that they knew that they did a lot of mistakes, but they choose to accept them and move forward. The maturity with which this was handled was amazing.
