What was Urvashi and her parents thinking when they agreed to a public proposal?

I mean, which age does Urvashi live in? Is this how she had dreamed of her engagement? Stand there like an idiot and let it be known to the whole world that she is only too eager to marry Shravan if he obliged?!

What kind of a family is this?

Urvashi didn't think for a second that Shravan might disagree?

I really hope Shravan took this game his chachi played to the next level.

So she would sugarcoat it so well that he wouldn't refuse? Well he would seal the deal too. Why wait for an auspicious day for the engagement? If they were too eager to have him, they could have him gift wrapped today itself!😆

Hoping Shravan has seen through the trap chachi set...and he would return the favour in equal measure too...After all, he hadn't seemed impressed with Urvashi at all...Or that is just his general attitude towards all women...If so, what is new? Wasn't Shravan always like this? Right from the first promo?

In that case, how does it matter what his intentions were, when he agreed to Urvashi...he never did respect her...never will. May be he is happy to have her as a trophy wife...which is exactly what Urvashi wants too...She is dying to be just that...Had she an ounce of self respect in her, she would have discussed this with him, rather than let the scheming aunt do as she wished.

So then, Why Blame Shravan?

I agree with u...urvashi only has herself to blame for this situation...and I don't feel sorry for her...she is exactly how shravan describes sumo...selfish goldigger cheap and has no self respect...I will say it again shravan does not know the real sumo...he saw the part of the picture he wanted to see and fast forward everything else...sumo saw the big picture understood it very well..

@chick... you are right about Urvashi and her eagerness to be a trophy wife. But, it doesnt absolve Shravan's foolishness and his meanness. As much we criticize the situation that his aunt put him through, yet she gave Shravan the last say in this matter. He could have taken it in any direction. He refused to, at one level, I do believe he was subtly playing along with his Chachi but nevertheless, for a person who has lost his mother because of a bad marriage one would have expected him to choose better. Particularly, when forget about liking Urvashi, he doesnt even respect her as a woman. And also, when he called Sumo as selfish because she did not understand or refused to understand the repercussion of her actions ten years back, he should have been more careful when ten years later he is far more mature and importantly a lawyer, about the fall out of his actions.

But, I would want to see a few more episodes to absolutely criticize him. Because the cvs are playing it quite cleverly not revealing all their cards at once. And when he kept the jewels in the cupboard of his, I did think him reflecting, ruminating. So, here's hoping there is more to it than an awful engagement drama played out in in numerous serials.

It's not blaming him but the typical fangirl heart which is trampled upon and with that all reasons are not being seen.

He shed a tear or two and I was like that's my man and then he goes on stupidity trip and he got ditched.

Urvashi I will pass on judging her she is a wannabe trophy wife and Mr lawyer got her hopes high now she ain't leaving him too bad for him...

The end of the game is that they both r using each other. Urvashi to get a rich husband and Shravan bcos he needs to prove to Suman. I think Shravan must have thought that love just ends in betrayal and he needs to get married someday so y not get married to Urvashi after all he will just be cutting to the chase and also hitting two birds with one stone..
Someone should lock ShraMan so they can clear their problems..

Yes, she wants to be a trophy wife, but that doesn't mean that Shravan can just lead her on whenever he wants & leave her whenever he wants. She definitely has her purposes of being with him, but he himself encouraged it by never saying no. Also, we don't need the presence of so many bimbos in one show. No doubt that Chachi cornered him on that stage, but he could have remained silent & let his father do the talking. Or he could have in his own diplomatic ways avoided it, or just be upfront. But no, not only did he take the plunge, he decided to even get engaged that very moment. Like seriously? There was gulaal right there, he should have just married instead😆 It would have saved CVs' money that they would have to spend on a wedding set.

Also, I feel a major disconnect with his decision to get engaged. It was to show Suman that he's moved on, but on what grounds? They were never romantically involved & he knows that she's always treated him as nothing more than a friend (even though it may not actually be the case for Suman as we saw) so why engagement? This track is very random IMO.

I think it is what it is, Soup. Shravan went ahead with the engagement to prove he had moved on. He could have wriggled out of this... is shrewd enough. He chose not to.

As for Urvashi, it's the typical third wheel. She had a good catch served to her on a plate. She had been all willing too.

I see your point, but I don't think this gives Shravan a get out of jail free card. I think it's a very valid argument to say that there were a number of different ways he could've handled the situation.

But after some thought and introspection, I will say that I can also see the argument that his actions yesterday can be see as a continuation of his character; so far we've seen how his rationalism goes out the window when he's making these knee-jerk decisions after Suman makes a move (ie. Itni bhi badi baat nahi thi, Bhagode, giving him her mom's jewelry). This explanation still keeps him the grey, wrong & right character he's always been. It's like he experiences tunnel vision when it comes to Suman. And with this theory, it can be understood that at that moment he just wanted to throw those words at her, "Aksar bure waqt main log saath chod dete hai." And to amplify his attack, he went as far as getting engaged. I think that's the thing about Shravan, while he's matured in many other ways, the rationality and calmness he had as teenager has taken a backseat to impulsive knee-jerk decisions, perhaps hard-wired into him as defense mechanisms?

But coming to me personally, it was the fact that he took this engagement bait that really disappointed me. Considering the rational/non-manipulable male lead he's shown himself to be so far, the fact that he gave into his chachi's BS was a little heartbreaking. Though there's hope that he might not plan on going through with it, I don't know.

And as needless & annoying Urvashi is, even she doesn't deserve to be led into a loveless marriage. Though I do see your point about how she potentially knows that and doesn't care.

I think urvashi just wants to marry a very settled , good looking guy very behaved guy ,Sravan is all of these (at least to what ever extend she has seen)

He seems e smitten ,his.family seems to love her ,why will she not say yes

Plus the fact is her family was in agreement and so was his family

It was a sudden announcement but she was more than sure he wouldnt say no ,and she wasn't wrong ...he said yes

So yes it's is an arranged marriy but like any arranged marriage she has the whole family backing and all the time in the world to date him now

If you see urvashi's reasons all of it or most is it is Sravan

Now if you see sravan's reaosns not one of it is urvashi ,so he's totally totally making her a prop in a story in which she's not a character at all ,she has no idea about it ,but I feel when she does she definitely will

Plus that not the way to treat any relation I feel,that's ehy I feel Sravan is at fault here

according to me ...neither Shravu nor sumo should be blamed ..10 yrs is a loong time ..during this time i guess tall guy never visited india ..so he doesnot know what happen here.as well ustoo.. as still need to watch more drama from cvs ..i dont know abt tall guy needs to reveal chachis plan ..or not but definitely some thing is there.😔.but must say all this hurting or insulting from tall guy will make sumo more strong personality .. the dad of tall guy ..is fishy..

so just wait as it only start in sony not even 2 months..😆
