To err is Human n to understand the mistake is also human..she did understand..but bas the Deep impact n the intensity is not known to her. Thoda time dedo...shayad yeh shikayat na raahe...? Hain naa?

Her enthusiasm got nothing to with regret or apologizing. She just wanted to see a childhood friend who pampered her. Now that she is an adult & is bowed down by responsibility & cold disdain by her relatives Shravan is her way of clinging on to happier memories when she felt loved & cherished by someone. We all feel happy & nostalgic about school, childhood, childhood friends. Same with her. Its got nothing to do with regret. I still maintain she still feels she did nothing wrong. Else she wouldnt ve used the word bachpana. Even during hisab barabar she should ve said OK I hurt you, you hurt me so it cancels out. No she still maintains that ITNI BHI BADI BAAT NAHIN THI.

Believe me when I am hurt with my hubby & says Fine, I ve forgotten it. He knows I ve not forgotten it. He knows I am still angry & hurt. Thats why i feel Suman never really knew or understood Shravan. Her friendship was very superficial! Look at Shravan. He feels her pain, her emotions even though she pretends that she is fine. But Suman never sees beyond the mask. Thats why i find her shallow, selfish & superficial. Shravan described her best aft the party.

But love is blind, thats why Shravan still loves this girl. Noone else would!

@anu, we can agree to disagree right. To me her enthusiasm has everything to do with Shravan n nothing else. She said itni baadi baat nahi thi coz befre that shravab made a dig tht y u atill stuck there. Move on. Both their worda were mere words. None of them meant that. Just coz Shravan said he moved in. Did we believe even fr a second he has moved on.? No, right. Then why r we holding that ' itni baadi baat nahi thi' in its literal sense? Isnt just like when we say ' i am all right' n yet means exctly the opposite.
Why cant a female lead be a lil immature. Let us let her grow. Right? She will understand. Shudnt we give her the opportunity before calling by insensitive jerk. To live with constant jibes about how she needs to return money, if she wants to be the old sumo to her frnd, whats he harm in that? In real life no one is perfect, yet we love our dear onez. Nearly everyday i feel like breaking my husband's head n then mend it myself. He is tired of my constant tenper outbursts yet we r together. So in love no one does ehsaan...we love coz we love

I will give my simple answer why you are confused or not able to connect with Suman and her character.
1. We have seen most of the flashbacks from the perspective of Shravan, how he sees her and his interactions with her. We saw just one or two from her point of view. Even there it was more of nostalgia and having lost something precious. In those she definitely reminisces his care and affection.
2. It would help us understand her character better if we saw how she was with her parents. What was the kind of life she led then and what was her life after their demise. Some childhood scenes of Sumo will help us know why she became the bullying, insensitive and at times crass loud mouth she became at school.
3. The very fact the Shravan has never been able to move on or forget her must be because they must have some very beautiful and special moments and time together apart from those times she hurt him or disappointed him.
4. Sharavan, Sumo and Pushkar were childhood friends. So if we can have a third person perspective about these two like Pushkar thinking about their good old days together, it will add to the story.
5. We all are very ready to jump to the defence of Shravan. This includes me as well. But there could also have been times when he might have been too demanding in his friendship with her. She was the centre of his world. But though he was a good friend, her life and circle did not revolve round him. Was there a hint of possesiveness in the way he regarded her?

Even me was thinking the same when shra has flashbacks of them with jewellery...she is so attached with her mum's jewels then how can't she understands shra's pain when her mother left coz at that time her parents were dead so she can feel his pain of being without mother but she don't care when he said mother left...So me too but confused with her characterization...
Looking forward for sumo's story may be that can link.better...

Somewhere Suman still feels that what she did was not a big thing. Its reflected in her attitude, her response. Else after the party when she realized that Shravan has actually not moved on she should ve regretted what she did. Not just for hurting him but for losing a golden friendship. She wouldnt ve glossed over her behavior calling it bachpana. So no she still doesnt regret it nor does she truly understand the inner turmoil of Shravan. Shravan was more selfless in his friendship than her & I am not telling this just due to that 1 incident. Shravan even now understands her pain & true feelings. Suman is clueless. This means the friendship has always been skewed & Suman has less empathy & is defo more selfish. Granted that aft being called a gold digger no girl would like to take money. I support her for trying to repay Shravan. What i dont support is that she is still in denial that her behavior was & is boorish & arrogant. She needs to show more empathy towards others.

If you notice she doesnt actually love her family either, except Nana & Dada. Yes she slaves around but tats not due to genuine love or affection but coz she feels obligated towards them. In Shravan's case though he knows his chachi is little selfish he still loves her, lalaji, both brothers & even Wandy 😆

This is why i love the CVs of this show. They have taken a deliberate gamble with Suman;s character by making it less likeable, some1 who is human & finds love despite her flaws. Usually in other shows they do it with the hero & gloss it over with the hero's hotness but here the gender is reversed. I am really liking the CVs & director of this show 😳

I would like to say few things wat I can make out of Suman character

Sumo is not bad..There are people like that..who are.. u can't say insensitive towards the pain of others...but they are like it's not a big deal yaar kind of people...
no I am not defending her actions...whatever she said to young Shravan was wrong...

But they don't give a thought to their actions in that depth..what grave mistake they have done samajna is little difficult for them...

Some people hold on to that heartfelt apology. ..until and unless they get that they dont move on...Some seek revenge...Some just forget..In literal sense forget...some move on with time...sab ka alag alag hota h..

Regarding the canteen ladies...u can see how much preeto likes suman...suman might not talk pyar se unke sath...but she is never ill towards them...neither hates them...kya kya logo k mu hi mirchi lagi hoti hai..🤣..though they are good at heart..

I guess here we are expecting a little conscience on her part...but there are people who don't judge their each n every action...
its the way she is..A little rude to shravan and canteen ladies,a little sweet to Nanu and dabbu, a little submissive towards mami , a little nice chilled out friend to Pushkar...
She is not evil..she is in fact very relatable to normal human being...who is with flaws...

Just give her sometime ...We will like her eventually. .

Anu ...I liked You compared her to Mighty ASR. ...She does give ASR vibes...

And I do believe she is not in love with Shravan. .yet...she considers him or used to consider him a very good friend bas...
And maybe once she falls in love...We will see changes in her..

Agree you on this..

Yes..Cvs are too good...
I hate when they show God like characters on screen...I mean they don't exist...people are born with flaws...and they gradually improve or rectify few of the flaws for their loved ones...

bang on...totally agree.. n yes I totally believe she is not yet in love with him... which is not a crime by the way... a girl n boy close doesnt necessarily mean it has to be love...but yes she will eventually...
@ bold... tht is exctly my point.. wait... two days back i was thinking what must have happnd to Shravan tht he is so hurt... now i knw... the story is unfolding slowly... thoda to intezaar banta hain...

n yes the pain is more fr our shravu coz he was n is still in lowe... i m all for going n hugging him (first i will ask him to sit thou...) but Sumo itni bhi buri nahi hain...😆
