The last episode made it very clear that Shravan still loves Sumo to bits whether he is ready to accept it or not. He wants her to care for him like he does. He wants himself to be the centre of her universe just as she is the centre of his. Their equation will never be hisaab baraabar.

If all he had ever wanted was her affection, care and love, then insulting Sumo so badly and also publicly was the not the way to gain it. I know that he had to get over the many hurts she had caused him in the past and let her know that she had walked all over him and selfishly used his friendship and care. But I think his actions and planning instead of proving his point actually end up alienating him from her.

She was his beacon ten years back. She is even now. That's why even after running away for ten long years, he comes back again to her. Though he felt very bad that she thought so badly about him, I think what brought on the tears in his eyes was this realization.

He thought that he had moved on. But he realizes that he can perhaps never move on in this lifetime from her or her memories. He definitely felt bad that she thought so badly about him that she was not ready to take the slightest help from him. I also loved the symbolism they showed when he was expecting her to take colours and colour him out of her bag, she takes her mother's jewels and hands it over to him. It was Holi and there were colours flying all about. Suman's face and dress were full of colors while his face and dress were colorless with a tinge of tears.

And did I see a hint of jealousy and longing in his eyes when he saw Suman playing Holi with Pushkar. Though I generally hate triangles or quadrilateral love stories, I don't see why they cannot be interesting if sensibly dealt with. Suman's action will make him take the opposite reaction of getting engaged to Urvashi while this in turn will make Suman say yes to Pushkar. A long drawn out engagement drama will then ensue.

Lovely episode indeed, and you have described it very beautifully.👏
Where I feel different is:

To me, he sounded more alarmed that he would have to met Sumo again when Vandy Bhabhi mentioned her name.

Secondly he had said the final hearing had been over the previous day, to Eric. Si from his side everything had been over. He jus hadn't wanted to see her again before he left.

But the part that hurt him the most- that she considered him a monster if she had to part with what was so dear to her, to get even with him. It almost looked like- How could U do this to me again- you are so insensitive!

What appears to be so simple when thought about was made out to be such a emotional, SPECIAL, episode. One of my top Holi episodes EVER ❤️. Because there was no superficiality (in how pretty/handsome the other looks), no "bhaang intoxication" making them say or do anything. Everything he said, did, was from the heart. And he wore it on his sleeve for once, by showing us through his eyes, how hurt he was.

Like you said this episode is going to stay with me ❤️.

Namik really just isn't a pretty face, as much as I could talk about how good he looked today, I don't want to. That's the power of good acting, as good as he looked, my focus was on Shravan and the way Namik performed Shravan. He just brought out Shravan's emotions--a mix of guilt and hurt (that she'd even think he'd accept something that meant so much to her)--so WELL!

And I think we had our first official eyelock today. And I love how it wasn't faltu/superficial (like oh my god she looks so pretty/he looks so handsome), it was so passionate and intense, without any excessive melodrama to back those emotions up. It brought together bits of their past and bits of their present.

This show never fails to amaze me ❤️

Word, Kriti,
For the first time, it wasn't about his swag or how good he looked. Heck I didn't even notice that. But rather it was all about the way Shravan felt, & Namik brought that across & how. The director also needs to be applauded for capturing all those subtleties in the way his expressions conveyed beyond just being sad, or hurt.
The eyelock was so beautiful & the EDKV title track was an icing on the cake there, because of the way it gave words to what they were expressing through their eyes. THAT. THAT IS HOW A SONG SHOULD BE USED. TO HEIGHTEN THE ROMANCE. TO CONVEY WHAT THE CHARACTERS ARE FEELING.
No doubt it was my favourite holi episode as well, despite the fact that the leads didn't colour each other or drink bhaang & act cute. Clearly, they were intoxicated in the colour of love & I absolutely loved that.

Hats off to namik niki .. Direction editing and writing was superb!

Yes, he was hurt because he couldn't believe that she thought that he was such a mean person that would actually take what's most precious to her & keep it. He was hurt also because he realised how much he hurt her & how much it was hurting him to hurt her.
He never stopped loved her, Renju. And yes the gold has come in the right hands, to her future husband😆

Beautiful any well written post Sam. I really loved the episode and man namik acting is superb and his expression is enough to know what he was going through. And I loved the scene where sumo was coming towards him and all colors flying in her face. Oh i really liked that scene.

Chick,
1. Yes, I misunderstood that bit. You are right. He looked alarmed & was thinking about the fact that he'll have to meet her again.. And he wasn't too happy about it especially since she has the ability to unleash his surpressed emotions, which she has, time & time again.

2. Yes, he didn't want to see her again before she left, but when she appeared before him & walked towards him, he couldn't see anyone but her. As he watched her play holi after she gave him the jewels, he couldn't let go of the fact that this is how their last meeting would be. He didn't want closure this way.

3. Yes, WORD on that. He felt so hurt that she gave him the jewels that meant so much to her & thought that he would even take it, just for equalizing scores. That IMO was also coupled with his realisation that he hurt her so much & that it was hurting him to hurt her.

I agree & disagree with you on some points.

Yes, Shravan still loves Sumo, but I don't think he wants her to care for him the way she does, at least not on a conscious level. Subconsciously yes, his heart craves for her like no other as he did enjoy the attention she was giving before the whole party humiliation. But there was never any active pursuit of her by him. IMO, on a conscious level, he just wants to move on with his life & thus termed him giving her the money as the final hearing of the Suman Tiwary case. But her giving him the jewels reopened old wounds. It hurt him that she gave him what was most precious to her & that she actually thought of him as someone mean enough who would take it, for the sake of equalizing scores. Notice how his eyes were on her when she was playing holi, not on the fact that she was playing holi with Pushkar. It wasn't about jealousy, it was about the pain that was stinging him - did it have to end this way? He didn't want closure this way.

He didn't come back for her. I don't think so. Yes, I am sure he did foresee that he may meet her again. But note how he was so nonchalant to her when they first met. He didn't want anything to do with her. Her calling him bhagoda brought him out of that nonchalance. The humiliation was really his way of getting even IMO & getting the message across to her that she, or anyone for that matter, shouldn't take him lightly anymore. He is not the same Shravan who was a puppet in her hands. But it ended up having the reverse effect, because he grew extremely restless after it all. He wanted to hurt her, it was done. But he didn't know that it would hurt him so much to hurt her.

WORD on the symbolisms. Love how you observed those & penned them down.

Sammy, what a post! Loved it👏
But, Shravan when he first heard Suman's name spoken he was alarmed, nervous and apprehensive. On second thought, after the reunion scene adult Shravan wants a closure where Suman might have no place... but yeh dil hai ki maaanta hi nahin😉
Ok coming to the scene, Suman and Shravan had eyes for each other only... and if beneath the hard, exterior shell of Sumo was a young girl searching for her lost friend (the way she was looking at the intense eyes of Shravan... there was question, longing, love and anger all there) and Shravan there was intense pain, love and the horror of it as to how it had all panned out. This is what he did not mean by hisaab barabar.
I love the way CVs have shown love is not simply a matter of give and take.. the complexity of love is beyond reason, it is simple yet complicated.
And Namik and Nitika, take a bow man!!!👏
And I did love the symbolism of Suman's mother giving her aashirwad to her future son-in-law
