I see your point. I disagree & agree with you on some points.

I do see Sumo as a bully. There was clear verbal abuse on her part in the way she passed those snide comments, & constantly humiliated Shravan not just in person, but in public also. Yes, she did it unintentionally & in innocence & Shravan, too never, stopped her or called her out for it. But that doesn't take away from her actions, which were wrong & did clear psychological damage to Shravan.

But having said that, Suman does deserve forgiveness, especially the day when she realises her mistakes & that what Shravan did to her at the prom, or his act of leaving wasn't just his 'bachpana'. Its really not fair on her part to reduce Shravan's actions to that, especially since childhood/teenage scars run deep, & affect us/change us in many ways we cannot sometimes fanthom.

Shravan, too, needs to be able to look beyond his hurt, & view Suman in a new light, when she truly understands the gravity of what she did in the past. Currently, he is viewing her from the eyes of teenage Shravan which is justified, but he needs to understand & realise that Suman has changed. She has matured & is no longer the narcissist she once was.

I hope that one day, both of them are able to look beyond their egos, & self-obsession to see the way they've hurt each other, & heal each other in the process. They should love each other despite the way they are, & for the way they are.

I guess we are going to agree to disagree on this one 😆😆

There is a difference between talking badly about a person viz. intimidating and bullying. She had to say yes to her friends in that particular scene but truth be told,, she did not mean it and Shravan am sure knew that she did it for her image and did not mean it that way. She was clearly guilty in that scene.. Why would you call that abuse? Shravan knew the drill all along and choose to be with her. Yes she was wrong, but so was he to continue to be in an abusive (if he considered it so) relationship.

That was the beginning of his problems... many a times be it as a child or adult we get into a relationship with the hope that people around us will change. The disappointment starts when we see them not change with every passing day and our frustrations keep building till one day it explodes. Classic Shravan.

For me Shravan was not strong or mature enough to move away from a hurtful relationship, at the very least he could have talked about it. Which he did could not, for fear of loosing his only friend.

So calling Sumo as abusive or bully is not right, when she was not so with Shravan and when she clearly had no clue as to what he felt.. .

Even at school both were equally at fault. One was continuing to be in a relationship which hurt and not talk about it. The other for hurting a dear friend to guard the perceived image. this is my personal opinion.

The future is a different ball game. If the spoiler is true, Shravan is going to get lessons from Sumo, that is what CVs have in store for us. Some times you can kill a person with too much kindness. And that my friend is what Sumo might do... 😆

i don't agree with u... teenage ke kuch incident logo ki zindgi aur uska nazriya bigad bhi sakte hai aur sawar bhi sakte hai...muje lagta hai ki shravan ki andar ki bitterness uske childhood me jo bhi suman ne kiya uska hi natiza hai i hope ke suman ko apni galti samaj me aaye..abhi bhi suman ne kabhi bhi uski galti samaj me nahi aayi agar aayi hoti vo acche se effort lagati bas do baar sorry kahene se kya ho sakta hai...aur jab usne bolo ke "itni bhi badi batt nahi thi" uska yahi sentence shravu ko provoke kara...jab suman apni galti man legi tab hi sumo aur shravu ke bich sab kuch thik hoga...bachpana bol ke aap apni galti se bhag nahi sakte..aur vo itni bhi chotti nahi thi ke usko pata hi na chale ke vo shravu ka insult kar rahi hai har ek baar...shravu ne jo bhi kara party me vo iss liye kiya ke suman ko bhi pata chale ke jab koi apke sath aesa behavior kare to kesa feel hota hai...mere hisab se shravan galat nahi hai...suman ne always shravan ko ignor kiya hai aur uski insult ki hai so vo ab suddenlly aesa sochne lagi ki vo sab kuch bhul gaya hoga to vo wrong hai..shravan ne suman ke behvior ko bhi sehan kar liya tha par aesa kuch bada hi hua hoga ki uss ke bad usme itni zyada bitterness aa gai suman ke liye to sahi par sab ladkiyo ke liye bhi...so abhi to vo story unfold hona baki hai..

My hindi is poor and I find it a tad difficult to read it. So pls dont mind if I miss some points..

Shravan's bitterness runs deeper than Sumo. Sometimes, when we have NO anchor at our home viz. our parents or a loving guardian we tend to find an anchor in another person. I think Shravan has a broken family of sorts which made him go all introverted, the show needs to reveal this to tie the knot. To me he choose Sumo as his anchor and kind of clung to her and she him. But, when that only anchor that he had was not what he thought it to be or failed to support him when he needed the most... he was deeply hurt.

But is it reasonable to expect an equally immature Sumo to be his constant support when she was not mature or ready for that role? This I think is what happened. When she failed to take his load he broke.

That would have taken time or may not have happened at all. Shravan could neither wait nor let go and he got hurt. I believe Suman is more grounded than Shravan and has a better emotional capacity to take disappointments in her stride. Shravan on the other hand cannot handle deep emotions... he buries it within him and he is continuing to do.

Yes, she was guilty of not supporting her friend at the time of his need. But that would not make her a bully. I also feel, had Shravan actually stayed back and tried to move on, then we would have seen a changed Sumo. Shravan, never really forced Sumo to make a choice or he was heartbroken by her choice. In which case he was in a dead end relationship and should have moved on.

The point here is Sumo and Shravan were both right and wrong.

@Poppins

Bullying doesn't have to be violent, or physical or gangsterish. It can be as subtle as mocking someone, or making fun of them, & that is how she 'bullied' Shravan. And Suman was clear a bully in school. Even her friends used to mention how she was taking class of someone. Just before the reunion party also, when Suman is trying to enter the party, this guy says that 'suman bahut badi gundi thi' or something like that. That makes it clear she was a bully.

And yes, Shravan encouraged her by remaining silent. But that does not in anyway take away from the fact that Sumo bullied him & was wrong in doing so.

It is matter of perception really. If my children were confronted by someone like this that put them down, I would be justified in thinking that they should stay away from this person, who in my eyes would just be an obnoxious bully. No matter how you define bully in a book or elsewhere , in reality the affect of bullying, hard core or soft, is similar- there are psychological damages to the victim. She may be the lead, but I do not have sympathy for the teenage Suman because had I been in anyones shoes who was around teenage Suman, I would have avoided her - not because I was scared, because she was plain obnoxious. There's no gentle way to put it. But, perhaps, given this is not reality, it is refreshing to have a female lead that is so flawed...and erred - that makes her more real.

@beagle @prc_fan was waiting for your reply :) Good one

Agree to most but the term bully To me that feels a bit too harsh on a brash and possibly selfish teenager.

Other than that agree with most other points. I still think Sumo let down shra at a moment of need and that caused the fallout. Shra has some deep rooted childhood issues ... Maybe his mom... We need wait for the cvs to reveal more. Only such trauma can justify the hurt that's been festering in him for 10 yrs.

Partially j agree
The way she treated Sravan is nothing like treating a friend and I am not amazed that Sravan doesn't consider suman as a friend at all and suman all the while was taking Sravan as a friend ...but what I find amazing is the extend of transformation and maturity in suman over the years ,suman today is a sharp contrast to her old.self ,that to me is a very interesting aspect of the story
Similairly the change in sravan is interesting too

She is not bully she is just childish and thinks about her image and all like that...but now she is changed...
She did mistakes in her adolescent and that mistakes hurt shra very badly which turns him cold towards her and he is doing all this..somethings are hard to forget and it's with shra so until he satisfies himself he won't let it go although he is mature enough to understand but still that one things is hard for him to forget as he has always ignored sumo's comments on him in public with friends but still continues his friendship with her...so it a not small thing ..
Am.looking forward for the flashbacks which turns shra that cold...

@ Poppins, I guess what Im trying to say is if you were around someone like that you would not sympathise with her as being just selfish. If you were subjugated to her behaviour you would actually think she was a bully. But then of course, I could be wrong as I am on more than one occasion.

Absolutely agree. You would keep clear of such a person. However, her equation with Shravan was different... there clearly was something about her that he liked.

Maybe we are kind of jumping to conclusions on part truths... Lets watch a few more episodes and speak about this some more 😆
