Wait I will post my points I think I still have it with me
Some excerpts from my essay that is"Sex before or after marriage for a girl"
"Marriage after 23"
"Time limit to get home- before 8"
Women's dress speaking about her character
We will address these points in the other at,yeh jaldi khtam ho jayega
The question is not about women getting equal rights as man. The question is why the need of showing women vulnerable?
It's not about blaming women but then they are not even getting the respect they deserve either. And sadly it's not a man to be blamed for this station it is women. Somewhere a woman is responsible for the misery of another.
I so agree with this point
When you spot a girl with an unknown boy; the mother or another woman will be the one cursing her womb, and beating her on the road. Truly when I say women are treated with lot of atrocities in the society but then again it's the women themselves who treat them as no less than a commodity.
Even today a woman in a village of India is burnt with coal because she served her husband bad food.
Even now it's a lady who stops her girl to go and attend school
To add it it when a female gets promotion because a man point out on her character it is a colleague; a woman who is going to say that "She slept with the boss for this."
If a girl comes home late at night then the other day it will be another woman gossiping how she was late.
So, I got into a quiff the other day with my great grand mom because she asked me to not sit next to my brother like he is my equal. my brother is 2 years younger to me.
And I talked to my mom about this. She said it is the way they have been brought up. they have been brought up believing a girl has loose morals when she comes home after 8 because they faced the same restrictions. They have been taught by their parents and grandparents that a girl should not sit next to a boy..They act on the values that their parents taught them. And herein lies the crux of the problem. If people are brought up a certain way with certain values imposed on them, that is what they will reflect on the society, no matter the gender.
And then we have the audacity to tell it's a man responsible for our condition. Agreed men is partially responsible but then how can we talk about women empowerment and give long speeches when we ourselves don't want a daughter in law who speaks her thoughts and is independent.
Feminism is the equal right a woman gets in our society. Surely we can't bring another man down just to prove our point. But then now with things shaping up there might just be a time when male come out and talk about need of having rights.
For instance let's take the reservation system in Nepal. Why do we need a reservation for a mental ability exam to get our way into the government office?
I mean physically we are okay, I understand but mentally: why?
I am unaware of this, lemme google, I will get back to you on this.
Just to show us that a girl is less in mental ability or to show that they are doing some great deed for us by giving this. It is more a cruse that a boon showing us how vulnerable we are. If it was for physical acidity we could still understand but then for a simple exam. Not so cool.
Is it that hard to understand that we are equally competent and we can find out way to reach and get what we want?
Forget that ;women right are so so hyped that it looks more like a publicity stunt than actually doing something to save women.
Rape victims, acid victims all of them are hyped. The news is so hyped and then we won't even remember their name forget what state they are in.
Like in India the Delhi Rape happened and it was so hyped for a month and now after two years what did we get for a result?
The juvenile gets into a reform center for what? Because he needs to improve and know what is right and wrong.
Why? What for?
When he had the guts to rape a girl he should know it too that it is bad and if he does something like this it is going to cost him his life. But then no rather a reform centre so he improves. But honestly can a reform centre get back the dignity and wash away the nightmare the woman faces every day.
our problem is not that women are being made victimized in the country.it's that peoeple are made so regressive that a woman herself looks down upon other woman. It is not that I am against feminist or feminism but I am like why talks about something which the other hears and let go off the very next moment. I am someone who believes in action. Let the action of women speak for her. It is like yes there is a dire need of uplifting women but just by doing dharnas, participating in debates on this topic is clichd. It is overrated. Everybody knows that nobody give a rats shit about what the others speak.
But somehow or the other, talking about the problems is the first step to addressing that issue. Raising awareness is important.
It is about instilling the values from the very beginning
And it is not about a man or a woman
Nowadays a man can be equally a woman and a woman can equally be a man.
It is just the way one perceives things.
But then sadly even after a century we are fighting and hyping about getting woman rights when in reality she is deprived of her basic human rights.
