Okay as Gia says its too philosophical for an AT

I will make my point with our couple

Shravan walkimg away ten years ago was a need of his self respect.Suman may or may not have been at fault but he was hurt and so he thought of walking away to beleive in himself and give a fair chance

That's more like his self respect talking for him

But coming back after ten years and when she says sorry he chucks the topic saying he moved on thats his ego.it was unnecesary delusion in his mind created so that others think of him as strong

True. I also think it is about perspective..

What a person considers as self respect must be, to others what is called ego.

It is very important to have self esteem, but again, all things should be taken in measured doses no? A person who could value themselves correctly through the right parameters would be the one to possess self confidence.

Yeah as I told earlier its more like societys expectations from the people to act according to them and characterisation done on basis of them and named with different words

Society's expectations at large do manage to ruin a lot of things.If you do not do anything according to their "set of norms and regulations", then, boom, you are a social pariah.

And people these days, I have witnessed,change a lot of their beliefs according to the ongoing"trends"🥱

It depends on the attitude that goes along with it. The enthusiasm to win is not a bad thing. But if the loss or win is handled in a negative manner, then I will say it's bad. Let's say that someone wins and they poke fun at someone else's loss, would you call that being egotisitical?

I do agree with your statement on ego being more like a delusion. It most definitely is that.

Not just with shravan even Suman has this

She not wanting to be known as fteind of Shravan was her ego as she mentions that she doesnot want others to make fun of herself

But then she lets go of things and when he says haven't you koved on she although hurt says it was just a small thing thats her self respect speaking for her

Gia is right there is a really thin line of difference between these two things

Also gur I just don't slam the door..if I am not interested I lock it too

Definitely!

Like you flip a coin to get heads or tails to determine an outcome, similarly, you can see a particular situation as being egotistical or of self-respect.

With all the hue and cry that occurred demanding a beta team, anyone ever hardly submitted any entries🥱

Loq - You said it beautifully. As kids, Shravan's self-respect was hurt by Suman's ego and now it's vice-versa. With the re-union party, I feel they will both come on the same playing field where they will both try to get back at each other because of their egos being hurt.

@Sanika we actually cant blame the society to change their thoughts according to the trned because honestly even we are a part of it and we also change perceptions knwoing each other and learning things. Its the nature and thats how tjings are meant to flow and go on.and yeah change is in all of us and its almost like a basic need.our ego and self respect play in and out along with the type of people we are dealing with.

@Gurleen You are right need to progress faster might be our ego.We rake things to our heart and that makes us grow and profit ourselves which is a result of soemthing striking our conscience and hitting our ego.However someone winning a fame and teasing the other about it later is more like being sarcastic and showing what they have .A part of alter ego I would say becuase at times ego makes you work for better but if you are working towards showing someone down that thats more like the bad ego speaking

Entirely ego is not bad because we are humans are we are meant to be flawed and its ok to be the ome with grey shades.It actually your choice ajd perception

More like you have heard right your rights are to be used only till where it doesnot hit the others nose.

You ego can be there with ypu u til it makes somone else outburst on you or rather someone else outbursts because of you

I may sound hypocritical but then it just gets more complicated as we give detials and let it out
