Well, first of all we need to establish what self-respect really is. There have been so many instances when people stand up for themselves, the other party attacks them saying their ego was bruised and that's why they behaved in a such and such way. But when someone chooses to remain silent, they are questioned if they even love/care about themselves.

There is a thin line of differnce between a persons self resepct and ego

Goomg with the google they say a person belief and confidence is themselves it regarded as self respect

It is like the postivie aspect snd the bossting morale appraoch

Now ego is the sense of self esteem and confidence

It is not a belief but a persons sense..a delusion created in their own mind

What is most interesting in this deifnitions and extractions from google is that synonyms for ego has self repect under it but synonyms for self respect doesnot have ego.

Its almost a concept created in the mind and battling that a person might loose their confidence or maybe just gain it all over the top

LOLL, her style of saying that line was just something else. The line itself doesn't make sense, and the delivery of it depending on the context was out of the blue, but it just somehow fitted with everything she had to say.

Self respect is a faith and I have seen it many times

As for the hypocritical people we are surrounded by when silent they blame our lack of self respect and if we clash then its out ego

Rather than the concept of the indisviduals mind it is like a bug fed by the society

Hmm..

But wouldn't someone's belief and confidence in themselves arise from their sense of worth?

The way I associate ego is the want to be above all others. It falls along the lines of not acknowledging the accomplishments of others. And if they are, they are still considered lower/beneath the boaster. The ego has this desire to be the best of the best and when someone poses as an obstacle for it, that's when people lash out.
