Sorry for the late comment, I have been meaning to sit down and read this for two days now, but trying to get things done has been bit hard lately..

Part 2

Tejal doesn't see anything and hits the ball very hard. She closes her eyes. After a few seconds, she hears hoots and shouts from the gallery. She opens her eyes. Dabboo comes running and hugs Tejal. "Tejaaal, we did it. Yes yes!! U hit a sixer. We won Tejal. We won".

Tejal couldn't believe at first that they had won and she actually had escaped the critical situations of the last over. But after her friends came, hugged and congratulated her, she felt very contented. She mentally thanked her mom and walked towards the podium with them.

Tejal was announced the man-of-the-match and handed over the envelope containing Rs. 8000. She was very happy now. After the crowd thinned, she handed the envelope to Dholu. Dholu was surprised but he refused to take the money. But Tejal insisted him to take the money. She told that he also played a major role in today's match. He scored runs, took wickets and fielded extremely well. So he rightfully deserved this. After much persuasion, Dholu took the money. He thanked Tejal. Tejal told him to buy a good bicycle and if any money is left, they will go for a party at any restaurant. All of them cheered. Right then, Tejal noticed Gulabchand standing near the podium. "Pappa, you? When did you come?".

"A few minutes earlier beta. When I arrived, 3 overs of your match was left. I saw you playing. You played very well". Tejal: "Pappa I am very hungry. Shall we go to home now?" Gulab: "Oh yes yes beta. Sorry I came for calling you for lunch only. But after coming here, I got busy seeing the match".

"That's okay Pappa. Let's go now". Gulabchand and Tejal walks towards home.

Its 5:00 pm. Aniket is standing outside the "Veg house" restaurant. His friends have not yet arrived. He came a bit early though. After waiting for 15 minutes, suddenly a bike halted in front of him. Aniket was a bit startled with the sudden stop. He looked carefully at the rider. As the rider pulled out the helmet, Aniket shrieked, "Raghuu???"

Raghu looked at him; Aniket took two fast steps towards him. Raghu got down and hugged Aniket. "How are you yaar? After so many years Aniket, I am seeing you".

Aniket: Yes Raghu.. Its so good to see you after this long gap. So, how's life going?

Raghu: "I am fine. You might know that I own a band. I used to tell you always before that someday I'll have a band and we'll rock the city, remember?"

Aniket: Yes. I am glad that finally you own your dreams. Nice buddy! I am happy for you.

Raghu: I called you so many times during the formation of our band. I wanted you to be our lead vocalist. But you were never available.

Aniket: Actually I wanted to talk with you for something like this. I need a job Raghu and that too very badly.

Raghu: "What happened suddenly? I have never seen you being so serious.. What's the cause for this sudden change??" He asked mockingly.

Aniket: Nothing happened. I just realized that I have wasted enough years of my life. I need to pick up something pretty fast. You gotta help me yaar.

Raghu: I guess you are at the right place Aniket. My offer for you being the lead vocalist of my band is still open. Would you like to be the one?

Aniket: What?? Are you kidding? I mean, you still want me to join your band??

Raghu: Haan yaar. What is there to be so puzzled? I mean, you are a superb singer. We all know that. If you join us, we'll be more famous and we can come out with more beautiful compositions.

Aniket could not control his sentiment; he hugs Raghu. Raghu embraces him back. Aniket tells him that he really didn't think that his fate kept something ready for him. He thanks his friend. Raghu tells him that he is happy that Aniket is finally joining them. Just then their friends Shaila, Veer and Anish arrived there. They all were happy meeting each other after so many years. After asking each other's well being, they went inside the restaurant. They chatted for a long time. After 3 hours, they realized that they have to head back to their homes. After coming out of the restaurant, they exchange goodbyes and tell Aniket to be in touch with them. Raghu tells he'll drop Aniket till home.

After reaching home, Aniket informs Sanyukta Nikhilesh about his decision to join Raghu's band. They become happy to hear but Shaswat criticizes him. He says "Waah Aniket bhai!! So now u'll sing in parties and marriages and functions huh?? Couldn't you find a suitable job? At least before joining the band-baaja walas, you could have given a thought to which family you belong. You should have kept in mind your status in society".

Aniket doesn't say anything. But Sanyukta tells Shaswat that he should control his tongue while talking with Aniket. He has at least put a step forward towards settling his life. She tells Aniket to join the band the very next day. Aniket is elated.

Next day morning, 8:00 am- Tejal was walking towards her boutique. Someone calls in her mobile. She takes her phone and sees Vaibhavi's no. flashing on her screen.

Tejal: "Hello"

Vaibhavi: "Hello Tejal darling.. How's you??"

Tejal: "I'm fine darling.. Tell me what made you remember me early this morning?"

Vaibhavi: "People don't have time to call me and ask my whereabouts. So I only thought to call up someone"

Tejal: "Haan haan chal.. Zyada nautanki mat kar abhi. Kaisi hai? And how's the boutique running?"

Vaibhavi: "I'm fine dear. Don't worry everything is normal here. I have already mailed you the accounts of this month na? By the way, why don't you come up here for some days? It'll make a short trip and also you can have a look at the proceedings here in the boutique."

Tejal: "Hmm I got your mail. And you know what, you are right. I was just getting bored staying here. Okay, I'll talk to Pappa today evening about my trip to Ahmedabad. I'll be there as soon as possible. I also have made some new designs. We'll sit together and finalize the new garments design together. Okay?"

Vaibhavi: "Wow! That's cool.. Come soon then. I'll be waiting eagerly".

Tejal: "Bye". Vaibhavi: "Bye Tejal".

Aniket reaches the practice session venue of his band "Melody Starlets". Raghu welcomes him and introduces him to the other members. He tells that currently they have roped in a music cd company for publishing their very first album. And also they perform at two 5 star hotels during the weekends night bash! Aniket is happy. Adarsh, another member of the band, asks Aniket to sing as he heard Aniket was approached for being the lead singer. Aniket happily agrees. He sings "Raaston me kho gaya hai mitra, ajnabee kyun ho gaya hai mitra, kuch to kami hai sawan, sawan sa kyun na lage mitra" (Band baaja baarat).

The other members listen to his song intently. After the song finishes, they still sit motionless. No one says anything. Adarsh breaks the trance. He starts to clap. Soon the others join the applaud. Raghu grips Aniket's hands. He tells that he was not wrong in his decision of roping in Aniket as the lead singer. He is sure that Aniket is going to take their "Melody Starlets" to new heights. And now their album is also going to be a superhit one. Aniket thanks Raghu for believing him. They start practicing for their next weekend night's bash session.

At night, Tejal tells Gulabchand that she wishes to go to Ahmedabad. She was getting bored with her monotonous life here and also she has to start work for her newly designed outfits. So she had to discuss her new designs with Vaibhavi and finalize which designs to be tailored. Gulabchand tells her to go and that he can manage here in Surat. One week later Tejal leaves for Ahmedabad.

That day, when Aniket reached for practice, he could not find Raghu. He was about to enquire about him when Raghu called him. He told him that Aniket had to do a work for him. His cousin Anushka was arriving from Rajkot that day. As he has to meet one of the officials of the music cd company, he couldn't go to receive her. He requests Aniket to go and receive Anushka from the bus stand. Anushka will arrive by 11:30 am. Aniket tells he'll go. He asks how he'll recognize her. Raghu tells he'll know. Anushka is very beautiful and fair. She has long hair and is very fashionable. And he can anyways ask the girl if her name is Anushka. Raghu also informs that Anushka knows that Aniket will go to receive her.

Tejal was half asleep in the bus when her phone started ringing. She received the call. Vaibhavi was on the other end. She asks when Tejal will reach. Tejal tells she'll reach by 11:30 am. Vaibhavi tells she'll be there at the bus-stand to receive Tejal. She cuts the call.

Its 11:15 am. Aniket reaches the bus-stop. He enquires if the Rajkot bus had arrived yet and waits at the platform. It was very crowded in the bus-stand. The Surat bus arrives at the stand. Tejal gets down from the bus. She takes her luggage and walks to the platform.
