Unless Vyom really is the villain in the story, we can be rest assured that he doesn't have any hand in Shiv's murder. Maybe the guy was creating a problem for him since he loved Sharanya but I don't think he would've killed him. So far we've seen that Vyom can do anything to have Sharanya in his life but there is no murderous streak to him.
His family, though, is another story. The Bedis, one or more of them, are definitely involved in Shiv's murder. Rajan is the obvious choice unless the makers feel like being unpredictable.
