The situation is not very different from the other show. Yet, there the female lead begged the hero, then married him, and then fell in love with the guy.

I am so glad that Dipti has written Jahnvi's character so well. We need more female characters like Jahnvi and less of Gul FLs.

Off topic, but it is actually a fact. The way she mentioned in this context is not right, but these words are true. We Indians, most of us have fascination for white skin. This is not surprising as we are still under the effects of colonial hangover. That is the reason the sale of those poisonous whitening creams are so much in India. It is not something to blame, but it is a flaw of most of the nations which were colonies of Western countries earlier.

And that is stupid. And not true.

But yes, I agree on the color discrimination thing. India is intrinsically racist. But I think that is changing now. Beauty standards are being challenged everywhere, but it in Bollywood or ITV.
