Hey guys!
Sorry for making you guys wait for months for a new update but I got very caught up in other things in life. Anyways I'm back but please excuse the terrible writing because I haven't written anything in ages! Enjoy x

Chhavi's POV:

Viraf's voice had sounded so strange to me over the phone as if all the life and soul had been drained out of him. I held my phone close to my heart and paced up and down my room, trying my best to rid myself of the uneasiness pent up in my system. Something just didn't feel right but a sudden buzzing of my phone brought me back to my senses.

"Hello? Who is this?" I answered the call rather annoyed that some private number had called this late.

"Hi Chhavi? Is this your number?" he inquired hesitantly as waited for him to identify himself.

"Yes Chhavi speaking. Aap kaun hai aur itne late kyun call kiya hai?" I retorted clearly very unimpressed with the caller not getting to the point.

"So sorry Chhavi actually I'm Pracheen. Remember how Vinny introduced us and I promised I would take you guys out on a date? Yeah I called to ask if you were free anytime soon?" He asked trying his best to mask his inherent giddiness.

"Oh...Pracheen hi so sorry I don't have your number saved. Umm well I don't know if I'm free anytime soon because obviously I shoot for 12-16 hours a day but yeah if I'm free I'll let you know," I replied hesitantly as I started to pace up and down my room once again.

"Aah I see but you do have time right now right? I'd like to get to know you better actually. We didn't really get to talk very much that day so how are you? How's everything going?" He asked me inquisitively wanting to carry the dying conversation forward.

"Yeah I'm good just a little busy with work and shooting but otherwise great. Hey listen I have to shoot early in the morning tomorrow so maybe we can talk some other time but yeah I'll let you or Vinny know if I can come or not. Bye," I replied to him before instantly cutting the call before he could attempt to hold me up longer on the phone.

I could feel the sides of my head pulsating which was a sure sign of a major headache coming to the fore. I sat down on my bed but the uneasiness was still raging within.

Viraf's POV:

I firmly gripped my steering wheel as I tried to weave through the busy traffic which had been static for a couple of minutes now. I honestly just wanted to step really hard on the gas and accelerate myself as far away as possible from Pune. As the traffic started moving again, I felt moisture on my cheeks and the road ahead became blurred by teardrops in my eyes.

I bit my lip hard as I tried to force myself to hold back the tears but all my attempts seemed futile. I had streams running down my face and only God knows I managed to drive back home. I stepped out of the car and furiously wiped my face. Why on earth was I crying for? I don't care about Meera in the slightest but why does it feel like I'm being stabbed a million times in the heart?

I trudged all the way to my front door where I rested my head while taking in a few deep breaths. Straightening myself up, I rang the doorbell, closing my eyes to hinder any stray tears from escaping. I felt a gush of air greet my face as someone opened the door for me and when I opened my eyes, I saw my dad standing with a rather grim look on his face.

I stepped inside to see the whole family seated in the living room. Some had their head in their hands and others looked at me as though I had been convicted of some unforgivable crime.

"Kya hua? Sab itne chup aur sad kyun hai?" I asked even though my voice came out as a mere whisper.

"Patha nahi tu batha ki tujhe kya hua hai? Tu kyun aise behave kar raha hai?" My mother beckoned as she appeared from my room with her eyes swollen from crying.

"What do you mean mujhe kya hua hai? I'm fine. Main bilkul tikh hoon and how can I not be fine? You know my own family is setting me up with the girl who broke my heart without even asking me what I want. Sab kuch toh tikh hi hai Ma patha nahi aap kya soch rahi ho," I replied with the mere whisper escalating to me almost shouting out the hurt and pain I had experienced recently.

You could hear a pin drop as everyone slowly gazed at both my mum and me, almost sensing a huge fight burgeoning between us. My mum's face looked crestfallen but she gathered herself and approached me.

"Ok maafi mangtha hoon main toh ab batha kya chahthi hai tu? Kyun Meera ko aise chod ke chale aaya?" She asked bitterly while grabbing my face in the palm of her hands.

"You know what aaj sach mujhe aap logho ko sab sach sach batha dena chahiye. Ma, problem Meera nahi hai, problem hai ki mere zindagi mein koi aur hai," I answered back while gently taking her hands into my own.

"Kaun hai woh?" She asked with a tone which sounded like she was beginning to feel hopeful about something fruitful coming out of this discussion.

"Ma... Woh main Chhavi se pyaar kart hi hoon and agar mujhe kabhi shaadi karna hai toh ussi se hi karna hai I bas," I asserted firmly as I stepped away from her.

"Wah kya baath hai? Toh aaya hai kyun tu Pune? Mumbai mein humesha ke liye settle ho jatha Chhavi ki saath. Chhavi se pyaar karthi hai toh itne mushkil kyun tha tere liye humein bolne ke liye? Pyaar sab kuch nahi hotha, culture aur religion bhi kuch hotha hai. But that's ok ab tu toh bada hogaya hai mere opinion kya matter kartha hai," she replied to me bitterly as she started walking towards her room.

"Viraf chod beta hum yeh sab bathe baad mein karengey. Tu ab jaa ke rest kar," Dad said to me as he comfortingly placed his hand on my shoulder and gave it a light squeeze.

That night I lay silently in my bed, flicking through all the selfies Chhavi and I had taken on my phone. Her energy, her infectious smile and her sparkling eyes captivated me to the extent that I couldn't avert my gaze. My chest did feel lighter having told everyone about Chhavi but how was I going to convince Ma is what was keeping me up.

Finally I am happy that Viraf finally told everything to his family. Meera ko beech me chod k aana us ki majboori thi. He can't even spend sometime with someone else when in his heart there in only Chhavi.

He is missing Chhavi so much and Chhavi has noticed the change in his tone when he was talking to her. This Pracheen is really very chipku why does he want to know Chhavi? Good that Chhavi showed that she is busy.

OHhh my Shona babu had tears in his eyes and it made my eyes teary as well. I never like seeing him crying. I think Dolly mom is just gussa aive hi..vo jaldi hi maan jaayegi.
