I beg to differ. I think it's high time the Indian audience is exposed to this because all we see is stupid saas bahu dramas where even if there is violence, it's like goons beating you up or people dying in car crashes. I think it's time we realise that these kinds of atrocities do happen in the real world where sadistic people like Kala kill people in cruel and disgusting ways. Is it entertainment? I was thoroughly entertained because I was engrossed by what I was seeing. I was questioning what I was seeing. The show is making me use my brain and not leave it else where before watching the show. Yes I was also disturbed by seeing MJ being pelted with stones but it was entertaining in tje sense that it managed to evoke certain emotions out of me and I'm now curious to find out the significance behind the stoning.
EBI isn't a show soap for little children and is watched by mainly adults or young adults so I think we shouldn't be too concerned about the violence. It would be rather comical if a villain like Kala didn't end up killing people or causing any collateeal damage. Just my opinion :)

Also can I ask how many of you watch tv shows that are not Indian?
I assume that there are heaps of you who watch shows from the US and UK right?
They show so much more violence and gore then what you see on EBI today and I can tell you that people are thoroughly entertained. Why do people watch it? It's fictional violence and is shown to shock the audience. Sure they could have killed MJ by having him die in a car crash but that would be boring and I'm not sure none of you would be shocked or outraged which means that the show would have failed in entertaining you because you would have minimal reaction. Idk now I'm rambling but I hope I haven't offended anyone.

I'm sorry but there is a point I'd like to make regarding concern regarding children as viewers!! Why did the safeguarding children come about when violence came on to screen?? Most of these very same kids are playing video games like black ops!! EBI isn't promoting violence. In that case super hero related shows also show violence. Lastly if child welfare is a concern why were these concern not raised when we wanted to see hot sizzling passionate SR. Isn't that included in child safeguarding or child welfare.

I agree today's epi was one that sent shivers down the spine. But also strongly believe if child welfare is a concern the it should be a concern in all areas.

U have hit the bulls-eye Mohi...
The present generation kids have grown-up playing Play-station since when they were infants...n they r used to these violence now...
its high-time we all should open-up our minds to newer n better storylines...if we bother abt these silly things like violenece etc.,our mentality will be limited to the family drama kinda daily soaps...
itz time to grow-up now!!!!!
