All I can say is WOW. I can't tell you how fast my heart was beating during that whole episode! CVs aren't going to let my poor soul rest because they keep building us up to Mriara full on romancing and when that day comes, I think my heart will collapse from all that excitement building up!
Ok time for Shegufta's highlights of the episode: 😊
1. MJ's haircut
I made a post on the significance of it before and I stand by everything I said in that post. Judging by everyone's reaction, it's pretty obvious that MJ was deeply attached to his hair and in a sense reflected the sadness and loneliness that had accumulated over the years. Today when Tara jokingly told him that for muh dikhai she wanted him to shave and cut his hair, you could see him go into deep thought over it. Should I or should I not cut my hair? The fact that he cut his hair for Tara shows how dedicated he is to changing his life around and making a fresh start. Hair needs to be trimmed so that all the dead ends fall off and hair can grow back stronger and healthier. Don't be sad that he cut his hair because finally MJ's character is taking a step forward in the right direction.
2. The reaction
OMG I LAUGHED SO HARD WHEN FAHIM CHACHA SCREAMED AND POOR DAIJAAN DROPPED HER THALI! This further emphasised how unlikely it was for MJ to cut his hair but I liked the little comic element inserted by the CVs. It's nice to have a laugh and smile in a serious show like this.
3. The Muh Dikhai
Tara looked so beautiful in that red suit and she was getting all decked up to see her husband dearest but I don't think she expected the beast to turn into prince charming (Belle does change the monster into a prince so a fitting analogy).
I think what made this scene really beautiful was how Tara looked through that hole in the wall to see the silhouette of MJ. It reminded me of MJ saw Tara for the first time on Diwali! They both discovered the beauty within and on the exterior from that hole in the wall :) My heart jumped out of my chest as soon as those two came face to face because I felt there was something magical about Tara rediscovering her patidev.
4. Radha's confession
Ok I know this shouldn't be on here on a post for just my Mriara but I thought that this scene was significant. She admitted that she has always loved MJ more than herself and that she thought that her love for him would shine through her eyes. I think a very valuable lesson can be learnt from that scene and it's that you should never keep your feelings a secret or you'll live to regret it for the rest of your life. Can this possibly make Radha go against Mriara in the future? That's hard to say but I do think that Radha's feelings can be used to separate Mriara since MJ has no idea that Radha has romantic feelings for him.
Overall it was a beautiful episode and one that left me wanting to see more! I really hope we get more amazing Mriara scenes and I have a feeling that we're up for a dhamakadaar week in EBI so stay tuned at 8:30 on lifeok.
Also keep hitting the CM meter!
Off to Mriara dreamland,
Shegufta xx
