Hey guys,
After yesterday's episode and the sbb segment, I began to question Radha's purpose in the whole scheme of things. Why is her character so important? She is a living proof of MJ's innocence, a catalyst in Mriara's love story and also important for the demonstration of what it means to love someone truly.
Tara and Radha are two women in MJ's life that hold the most importance; Tara is the wife while Radha is the childhood best friend who understood him when no one else did (according to Baba). My question however is who should hold more importance? Tara, because she's his wife or Radha because she was there before Tara?
The deciding factor for me was the notion of true love. We all know MJ loves Tara out of the two of them but he has always rambled on about how she has no right on him. So who does have the right on him?
Radha:
Does she love MJ?
As a friend maybe (we still dont know what she feels for him but maybe we'll see when she finds out who Tara is) but I can already tell you that even if she thinks she loves him, she actually doesn't. Radha to me came across as just another woman in MJ's life who took advantage of his goodness. She knew he was facing the death sentence for her death and rape but she chose to stay silent along with kaka this whole time. Why? Because she was scared for her life. In the sbb segment, MJ is being bashed and kidnapped while she's trying not to be caught as Tara is out there fighting for her husband. She allows him to be beaten, abused and misunderstood by society just so she can escape from being killed. The fact that she hid behind Tara while the goons pointed a gun at her demonstrated perfectly she was only ever concerned about her safety rather than the two people who are risking their lives for her. If Radha truly loved MJ then she would show gratitude and be the first one to defend MJ. Guys you were all hoping she would a be a vamo and now I think she is in her own subtle way - SELFISH AND CONFIDENT THAT MJ WILL PROTECT HER WITHOUT HER DOING ANYTHING FOR HIM IN RETURN.
Tara:
She has shown time and time again the depth and pureness in her love for her husband. She stood up for him when she knew he was innocent and even punished him for treating her like crap initially. She accepted him for who he was and gave him the courage to fight for his right to live. Every time MJ has gotten into trouble, she has stepped in to at least try and save him. She's not a selfish lover, in fact her love for him his unconditional. Her happiness lies in hus happiness even if it means that he loves another woman. Anyone would have chosen the easy way out and leave an accused rapist and murderer but not her. She believed in him and despite the numerous attacks on her life, she's thought about his safety and well-being. THAT'S WHAT TRUE LOVE IS. WHEN YOU LOVE SOMEONE SO MUCH THAT YOU EXPECT NOTHING IN RETURN.
Who deserves this right on MJ? Tara does because her love for him is true and no matter what circumstances she is put in, the strength of her love has always prevailed. Just a little morale booster for all you Mriara lovinv EBIans out there.
