Lovely analysis, D. I love the title too! The episode was indeed once again, high on emotions.
I think it's pretty fair to say, our pocket rocket Chhavi stole this one. Her eyes as she was yelling at Mrityunjay, I couldn't look away. The modulation of her voice was amazingly spot on, it was very depicting of her character in that as long as she could there was no falter. I just thought she did an awesome job with that scene, it wasn't overdone or shaky. And as you've mentioned, Viraf certainly did his work, it's not easy to stand there passively, yet without looking like a cardboard cut out while someone is firing at you with words that loud and sharply. Your quote summed it up wonderfully.
I just want to say, I'm grateful that we have Saba at the helm of this show, I LOVED the fire in Tara, that's what I've wanted to see in a female character on Indian TV for ages. Yes, there are the career oriented women, but when it comes to love and men, they all melt. It's clear that Saba is leaning towards the portrayal of a strong woman, and to inform women of social issues, and I say - good on her! I think it'd be fair to say we've got our Bhai of Bhopal back and I'm LOVING it! It was painful watching Mrityunjay break down, it really was, you'd have to lack heart not to feel sorry for him. But regardless of his intentions, his actions were WRONG, and Tara had every right to blast him the way she did. The only point where I thought she went overboard was the accusation of him having planned to rape her, but that was her shock talking.
Absolutely loved Mritunjay's passive reply, that's again, the real Mrityunjay. And I REALLY can not watch this man cry, seriously heart ripping stuff. The way he cried, the same man who once said the marriage meant nothing to him is now crying because he lost his wife, because of his own doing...
The look on Tayaji and Nirmala's faces - priceless. I loved how Tara's jibes at Mrityunjay served dual ...triple? purposes - Jibes at Mrityunjay, warning for Rudra and Nirmala to be scared at that point, and a general warning to basically any evil force that targets him. I get so fascinated by these little nuances in the writing.
PROMO. I don't know what she's going to do, I'm actually scared because I think she has the potential to cause some damage, and because she's not really thinking straight right now (for all those condemning her, it's hard to think straight about a person who threatened to rape you, burn you alive, and pushed you down a ditch, put yourself in her shoes). I think a song and dance would be pretty apt for Tara, and something out of the box, I never really even thought of it. But what's the knife for? I hope this doesn't get too ridiculous.
Thinking from Tara's point of view, the best attack on Mrityunjay would be through emotions, he's already fragile and broken, it'd be easy to completely shatter him (Wow, I don't sound nice at all). That's the one thing that would hurt Mrityunjay, because he now loves Tara she can hurt him quite easily. I think it's pretty obvious this is a game of - pay for your crimes. Mrityunjay is going to pay for his as Tara commits hers, and she'll later pay for hers, no one is being treated unfairly. I want to see how Mrityunjay is going to handle this new wife of his, good luck lad.
