When Tara's mother asks how her husband looks like she shows her 'Lord Shiva'...Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra is prayer related to Lord Shiva.It is a prayer to Shiva for help in overcoming "death". The mantra is a request to Lord Shiva to lead us to the mountain of meditation, which is indeed Lord Shiva's abode...That is why she showed us Lord Shiva...

Mritunjay means to winning the death

Mrityu= death and Jay = win

MAHA MRITYUNJAY MANTRA IS

OM TYAMBAKAM YAJAMAHE SUGANDHIM PUSTIVARDNAM

URVAV RUKAMIV BADHNAN MRITYOUR MUKSHIYA MAMRITAT.

IN SATYUG, MANTRA MEANT WINNING THE DEATH( long life)

BUT IN KALIYUG IT MEANS PEACEFUL DEATH.

Yes they are Lord Shiva & Parvati...

Even his second name Neel also stands for Lord Shiva.

Ardhanarishvara , is a composite androgynous form of the Hindu god Shiva and his consort Parvati.

Therefore it could be remotely possible that he is the real son of Kalavati
