Yes, I agree. The costumes department is not at all impressive for this show, especially for the ladies. Devaki's wedding attire in JSK, as well as SUMS in ASR...they were all very grand and bride-like, but Rukmini looks very under-dressed for a Princess.

Priya is alright as Rukmini...she still has a long way to go before she achieves perfection however, she still seems too much like a naive little girl and not the mother of the universe. Yes, Revathi has that dignity and grace I would have liked to see in Rukmini, she also acts really well.
Lols, I actually like Priya a lot better than the stand-in actress they chose for the promo, that one looked a bit proud and 'mean'.😳 But yes, the make-up and costume department definitely needs to improve. Other than Krishna, none of the characters look very royal or divine.

Okk..here are a few points which i have to share:

1. I guess Krishna's family forgot they have 2more members in the family...or i guess the Sagars have not finalised these characters yet...i also have a general query regarding Devi Rohini...no serial showed her after Balram n Krishn left Gokul...anyways thats a diff story i hav asked in the doubt section too..

2. Very well pointed out by Pari di... Devaki mom where are the new clothes????? 😛 And personally i didnt like the attires of the actress playing the role of Devaki...sorry dont mind guyz..but she is the Royal Queen and did u all notice what she was wearing in her Son's wedding??

3. In old times the ladies were never the part of baraat...as pointed out by Vrish...this was a bit strange to me as well to see them going along...

4. And the most imp thing. .. WHERE WAS THE SEHRA???? GROOM WITHOUT A SEHRA????yeh toh hazam nahi hua ji... 😛
Ramji wore the Sehra and in old Shri Krishna Vasudev too wore it i dnt remember about Krishna or Balram! !

Isn't Sehra a handover of the Mughal/ Muslim Culture?

dpka1415,

Yeah I have seen Hindu grooms also wear the sehra- but my feeling it may have been imported by the Muslim Rulers and later ingrained into the Hindu Culture as well. I am pretty certain it was not there during the Vedic Age.
