I was out today when the episode was telecast, and so missed it, so anyone want to fill us in is welcome. I just heard the ending from my niece, which was that @ the end of the episode, Rukmini went to the roof w/ the baby. In short, they're dragging the kidnapping 😆

Anybody needs more details, ask someone who's seen it.

Epi. starts frm the last scene of prev. epi...

Sambhrasur😈 enter the room whr Krishna and Satyabhama are asleep n tries to kill the baby..😲... but just in Krishna's dream...🤔

Rukmini awakes and gets worried on not finding her baby by her side... Daima tells her that SB came n took the baby with her... (starts filling Rukmini's ear abt SB n tries to create rift between both🤢)Rukmini is angry that SB took her son despite her order of not letting anyone in her chamber...

SB is excited about baby's naming ceremony n has started preparation...just when Rukmini enters furiously n takes the baby frm SB...n starts scolding her ... she can handle her baby n SB suldnt interfere...🤢

Krishna comes n says that he had asked SB to take care of the baby n she has done her job well... he was the one who took the baby to SB... Rukmini is ok if he take the baby... n leaves...

Krishna consoles SB who is in tears not to take Rukmini's word seriously as she is vry concerned abt. baby...SB understands...😊

Rukmini give all duty of her baby to Daima...

Krishna is still trying to find where Sambhrasur is...His evil soul culd be found as it wuld attract evil species..😕 Krishna finds that Sambhrasur is already in his palace...

Daima wants to take baby to the terrace for sm fresh air n sun.🤪... Rukmini also wants to come... Daima is furious n thinks of killing her as well...

Thanks for the update - yeah, you're welcome to do it. In fact, as per the new rules, anybody can write any update in this thread any day, given how this serial has shrunk.

So they've now inserted a touch of saas-bahu, or in this case, sautan-jealousy here b/w Rukmini & Satyabhama, and in the process, made Rukmini look like a vamp, and Satyabhama as a very understanding sautan? How brilliant! 😡 Not to mention Krishna, of all people, having ominous dreams, like he's some character in another serial.

In the original story, Shambara just flew into Rukmini's chamber one night when everyone was asleep, and kidnapped Pradhyumna. Here, they've introduced a plot, but in the process, perverted Rukmini's character yet agin 😡

Incidentally, Satyabhama looked her best on Thursday when she was ordering the security to not let the baby out of their sight. Although one thing surprised me - if Pradhyumna is just born, wouldn't Krishna have been sleeping w/ and spending his time mainly w/ Rukmini?

One thing that struck me about Shambarasura - he's one of the most sharp looking demons I've ever seen - rivals Indrajit in ASR. Methinks they should have used Narakasura or someone like him here.

Glad I missed this episode.

Certainly not.

Husbands (in those days and even till recently) were spared from the hassles that accompany child birth and a new baby 😆 (Though I know these days, husbands actually venture into the labour room..)

On a serious note, till the naming ceremony, the mother and the new born were kept in a secluded room and only a select few (midwife, wet nurse, servants, etc) were allowed admission. Men certainly were not allowed. Even the mother and the baby could not go out of the room. The main idea was to maintain the sterility of the birth chamber, so that the mother and the baby would not catch infections (since their immunity would be low at such times).

So this whole depiction of Satyabhama taking the baby to the terrace or Rukmini walking here and there is nonsense. Even Krishna would not have been allowed to hold the baby till the post natal period was over.

More worryingly, they have perverted Krishna's character as well.

This plot shows Krishna as being helpless against Shambhasur. As if Krishna is trying to do something, but ultimately failing. Tell me, which devotee of Krishna will accept this? It would have been better for the PH to follow SB. We don't know if Krishna knew beforehand about Shambhasur's evil intentions, but he certainly did not perform perfunctory attempts . Had he wished, Krishna would have been able to thwart Shambhasur. But he let things happen as they were destined to happen.

I was about to post that too..I think it is like when Shri Krishna took baby form in the prison. It is not that shri krishna would not be able to kill kans at the same spot but because of Nand-Yashodas boon he had to "grow"up at their place otherwise after assuming baby form shri krishna could have killed kans like he killed putna etc.

I did not watch the whole episode but I can post some highlights of yesterday.

Shambhrasur/Dhaima tries to push rukmini off the terrace.

Some soldiers come and she stops her try.

Shri Krishna is walking in and outside his palace to check if something is inappropriate. He does not find anything but I think he doubts Dhaima.

Satyabhama cries because Rukmini got angry on her earlier. She says that she loves Rukminis child as her own child.

Narad goes to Shivji and says shri krishna has to get his son kidnapped. Only then Shambhrasur can die. Shivji says he will reason with Shri Krishna.

Satyabhama asks Shri Krishna to protect his son. Shri krishna says no matter what happens, I will save my son.

In the end we see a shocking Narad and Shivji.

Fully agree w/ Varaali & Sita above. Sita, by now, you should know better than to expect Sagar Pictures to put appropriate actors to play Rukmini. I'm now rooting for this serial to end - I'm not interested in them doing a MB or Gita or anything else. They just suck!

Anyway, I caught the 3rd segment today, so anyone who saw what happened b4 can fill in the blanks. Krishna has apparently figured out that Shambarasura was disguised as Daima, and warns Satyabhama, who has the baby, which Rukmini had given her earlier, about it. Satyabhama asks him to go and find Shambarasura and kill him. Krishna goes to Rukmini to warn her not to let the Daima take Pradhyumna, when Satyabhama enters and tells them that she came to apologize to Rukmini. Rukmini asks her where is the baby, and Satyabhama is totally puzzled, while Krishna now realizes that the Satyabhama who had the baby was in fact Shambara in disguise. The final scene shows Shambara galloping away w/ Pradhyumna.

In short, finally, the kidnapping has happened. But the depiction that Krishna or Rukmini can be hoodwinked so easily - Krishna can't tell the real Satyabhama from an asura who's disguised as her - is shocking. But what else is new? Let's see how convoluted they show Pradhyumna growing up, who they bring in as Mayavati, whether they show Kama & Rati. Also, Pradhyumna-Shambara events happened independently of Krishna, so now's possibly a good time to give Vishal a break, and let Pradhyumna & Mayavati run things for however long SP chooses (just like in ASR, we had a whole couple of months of KL's adventures w/o Rama).

Or the other thing they can do - show Jambavati 'returning' and giving birth to Samba, Satyabhama giving birth to Bhanu so that Krishna is still visible while the Pradhyumna track is going on.
