Ok on a serious note, Vaikunta becomes empty. Lakshmi and adisesha always follow Vishnu during his incarnations. Lakshmana was said to be adisesha, as was Balarama. Similarly Sita and Rukmini were incarnations of Lakshmi.
Infact, Bhrigu curses Rama to suffer pangs of separation from wife in his rama avatar, as Vishnu had killed Bhrigu's wife for supporting Daityas.
Thats why before every incarnation ends, first Adisesha followed by lakshmi make a departure to welcome Vishnu back in Vaikunta and then Vishnu proceeds. Brahma or Shiva recall Vishnu to Vaikunta when they see his purpose is served.
God only knows where they get this concept of these people watching over their incarnations from the those stupid false clouds

In Valmiki, all 4 brothers RLBS were parts of Vishnu's avatar, as per the payasa that was distributed b/w KSK. It's in Adhyatma Ramayan and its derivatives, like Tulsidas, that you have this concept of Lakshman being Adisesha, Bharat being Panchajanya and Shatrughan being Sudarshan chakra.
But you are right that Vaikuntha is empty. Although in Krishna avatar, Rukmini did not precede Krishna or Balaram. After Krishna was killed by Jara, Arjun escorted all the civilians of Dwaraka to Mathura, and there, a number of Krishna's wives, including Rukmini, ended their lives, while some, like Satyabhama, took vanvas. (Also, the empty rule didn't follow during the first 6 avatars. In Matsya avatar, Vishnu didn't take Adisesha w/ him, using Vasuki instead to be a rope that Matsya used to pull the boat of the saptarshis. In Kurma avatar too, he didn't take Adisesha w/ him, and in Varaha, Narasimha, Vamana & Parashuram, he didn't take Lakshmi w/ him either. It's true that until Vamana, the avatars were short, but Parashuram was long lasting, but he remained a brahmachari)
I also doubt that either Brahma or Shiva summoned Krishna the way Brahma did Rama, since unlike Rama, Krishna knew that he was VIshnu, and knew that the curses of the rishis & Gandhari had taken effect. After he saw a snake leave Balaram's mouth, he went under a tree where he was shot by Jara.
I once posted this doubt in the Ramayan forum - if Vishnu & Lakshmi were still in Vaikuntha, why would the devas miss them, and why would Brahma send Kaal to Rama to tell him to return? The populace would have been happy to keep Rama, and the Devas would have happily had Vishnu w/ them.

In Valmiki Ramayan it is said that all the three brothers of Ram posses one-fourth of the total strength of Ram. And there was part in Ramayan where Laksman becomes unconscious during the battle with Ravan. The demons tried to throw him away. Now Valmiki describes the situation and says that the demons might be powerful; but they are not powerful enough to through the person who is part of Vishnu. So all the three brothers must be part of Lord Ram Himself.

Only mytho serials show Vishnu and Lakshmi at Vaikuntha during the time of incarnation. No texts provides any details for their presence in Vaikuntha; during the period of incanation. When they were incarnated as humans; they lived the exact life of humans.

Not to deviate w/ Ramayan discussions, since there's a forum for it, but in VR, Dasharath gave the first 1/2 of the payash to Kaushalya, the 2nd 1/4 to Sumitra, the 3rd 1/8 to Kaikeyi and 4th 1/8 again to Sumitra. (Due to this, I was under the impression that Lakshman, not Bharat, was the 2nd of the brothers) In Adhyatma, Krittivas & Tulsidas, Dasharath gave Kaushalya & Kaikeyi 1/2 each, and both of them gave 1/2 their shares to Sumitra. In Valmiki's a/c, all 4 are avatars of VIshnu himself, but in Adhyatma, one is Vishnu, one is Adisesha, etc
I agree w/ you - I've never seen any a/c of Vishnu/Lakshmi being in Vaikuntha during Rama's or Krishna's avatar. Also, Vishnu/Lakshmi discussing Rukmini's plight is something like somebody and his wife/gf playing one of those virtual games, and discussing the plight of their avatars 😆

Just a thought..
Maybe there is a metaphor at play here. So, like, Vishnuji and Lakshmiji are not actually physically at Vaikuntha. It's more like the subconscious selves of their avatars are conversing with each other, which could be possible if you accept some kind soulmate/twin soul theory. These subconscious selves, which Krishnaji is aware of but Rukmini isn't, are shown at Vaikuntha because that is where they naturally belong, the place their souls connect to. But if someone were to go to Vaikuntha, he wouldn't be able to see Vishnuji and Lakshmiji there.
The producers might have meant it literally though, which is quite likely, in which case it really does not make sense. (In which case this post does not make sense) :P
Um, I've got this thing for trying out alternative (weird?) lines of thought and interpretation. lol.

Okay, new promo for this week shows Sunanda delivering a letter to Krishna, where he reads that Rukmini wants him but Rukmi has arranged her marriage to Sishupala. Rukmini writes that she'll take Agni samadhi before this happens.
Krishna reads the message

I'm not surprised Vishnu & Laxmi having a conversation...after all God is everywhere...they're in vaikunth, they're on earth, they're in the three loks, they're in the serial🤣ok enough of my silly jokesIn JSK, they showed Vishnu narrating the incidents to Narad all the time. Here he narrates the things to Laxmi. Now I'm confused about the old version, was Krishna narrating the incidents to Rukmini or was it Vishnu narrating all this to Laxmi😕 Btw when they showed Vishnu in Ramayan then Gurmeet was shown with blue complextion so why no blue complexion for Vishal too when he's shown as Vishnu🤔

Vik
You're just too funny - that's the most hilarious explanation of both Vishnu & Krishna being present in different places. 😆 Reminds me of a joke about an Egyptian tour guide who pointed to a mummy's skull, and told his visitors that it belonged to King Tut. When asked whose skull a smaller skull was, he said it was King Tut as a kid 😆
You are right - they showed Gurmeet Vishnu in blue, so why not Vishal's? Another thing I noticed - initially, they showed Vishnu in white when he's standing and talking to Narad, but when he's sitting w/ Lakshmi-ji, they're both wearing red. Just wondering - who does their laundry - Jaya & Vijaya? Maybe they can observe & discuss amongst themselves the activities of Sishupal & Dantavatra while the washing machine is on while Lakshmi-Narayan dwell on Rukmini 😆🤣
Oh, and in Ramayan, Lakshmi got to watch Sita give birth, and Vishnu visited her on the occasion. Maybe when Pradhyumna is born, Vishnu can visit Rukmini again. (Only, he would look really crass for not preventing Pradhyumna from being abducted by the asura Shambara. Maybe have Lakshmi-ji visit her instead, so that she can't stop Shambara)
So Vik, is TV the fourth lok? 🤣
