Lovely analysis as usual.
I don't know why people felt the episode was rushed. I only felt the restaurant scene could have been shown a little more..may be a romantic dance (as promised by Jaya Misra) to set the mood. by Arjun. In fact, when Radz was singing "Mein nachungi.." I thought they did have the dance which she'd enjoyed and the cvs had edited it out.
And, when Arjun stopped the car with the headlights still on, I thought, here comes that dance..Arjun wanting to make her wish come true.😆
What I liked specially about the restaurant scene, apart from those happy smiles and relaxed laughs of Arjun and the goofy drunkenness of Radz, was Arjun's very heartfelt words.." When you call me Arjun, it will have its own special maza."
I hope the cvs remember this remark of his and use it later because, to me, it was important to Arjun, because having Radz call him by his name would indicate her complete acceptance and recognition of her feelings for him and an open and voluntary acknowledgement of it. I can almost imagine the expression on his face when he'll hear it for the first time and when the connotations hit him.
I think, for Arjun and, specially for Radz, just saying "Arjun" will be akin to "I love you!"
On the surface, Arjun defying her to cross over the line to him seemed like him asking her to take that final step to make their relationship real and complete and for a while, Radz was under the same impression...which is what made her say that it wasn't THAT sort of marriage.
Until they were in the bedroom and on the bed itself, till the moment he suddenly covered her with the duvet, she was one tense girl. and he wanted her to believe he had those intentions towards her. By no means would he have gone the full gamut even if she showed her willingness.
I'm upset that the cvs chose to edit out that bit where Arjun runs his fingers over Radz' arm and down her knees deliberately, maintaining the impression that he was out to seduce her, only to cover her up and tell her to go to sleep. That was unexpected to her and to those of us who hadn't seen the videos first.
I felt Sam was between them, more with Radz than with Arjun, at least at the beginning. She brought up sam's name saying "I can't let you go to her." And, when he got up from the bed to (probably sleep on the sofa,) she held his hand, shocking him and us, I felt she had capitulated and had crossed that invisible line, not because she wanted to, for herself but had finally got the courage to do her wifely duties if that would keep him from going to Sam.
I felt that's why he suddenly covered her lips with his fingers to stop her from saying what she may regret later...because,didn't he say, "If one is not comfortable doing something that goes against their wishes, then one must not do it." or words to that effect. I remember thinking at that point, why don't you follow what you are saying and forget the revenge business.
I think, it was when he said the next lines, what kind of a man would a person be if he had to force such things, that radz' doubts about his innate goodness got cleared. That made her say, you are not just a man but are a very good man. And that look of anxiety, to my mind was that of a girl who has just begun to realise what that man meant to her and that she had no hopes of getting him or his love.
Btw, a brilliant take on the position in which they lay👏...both knew that they loved the other and those pillows between them signify the hurdles that still lay between then.
Thanks, esprit for explaining Arjun's enigmatic last line that may be one day he'll have to see himself through her eyes...it was a hint that he's beginning to put revenge aside and when he put away those papers after staring at them and covering them with his hand, it was the final stamp on his decision.
I hope the cvs won't disappoint us today and show him go back to square one and rattofy the revenge jaap.
I know I only spoke about our favourite toothsome twosome ...can't blame me...they are too beautiful...I have to mention the other two toothsome couple...Neil touched my heart..said so much without giving away too much. sam still obtuse but getting scared...did she actually walk out on him?
Samrat is definitely a better father than a husband ... but, .how did he know Neil loved Sam? Did he always know that or was he being used as a catalyst by the cvs just to hurry the process of Sam's realization?😕
The last scene..was 😳😃 I'm glad that Arjun didn't look shocked or surprised when nandidni told him that he's fallen in love with Radz. he just looked at his wife like a typical loving husband.
He dismissed her comment about being in love with sam like he was swatting at an annoying fly but his intense and yet serene look at her next statement was very telling.
Again, sorry again for the looong essay.😆
