Only 2 weeks left for DYM to end... and my countdown has begun!
------------------
Believe it or not, the awesome prize goes to Neil & Sam scenes today! Neil - that was such a good distraction and you planted the seed of a NeSam future in her head! Good going! I swear this guy is the voice of reason on this show. That was hook, line and sinker story, and yep Sam totally fell for it (I mean that in a good way). It didn't seem rushed at all like I had initially assumed.
Last month Radhika had mentioned that she does not know what love is or that it even exists... but that the base of every relation should have a strong friendship bond - this is so true for Neil & Sam! Quite honestly, a perfect relationship (in real life), is one where your partner is your best friend and there are no expectations from one another. Just as Neil pointed out today that the equation between them doesn't need to change completely just because the relation changes. Very smart!
Further, Neil pointed out the obvious: if Radhika was really after Arjun, why would she bother contacting them after she is married to the guy! I wish Piyali and Samrat had half a brain to figure all this out. I really dislike Samrat at the moment - he has never pointed a finger at himself in this entire ordeal! Dude, it takes two to have an affair - sure Nandini is a conniving psycho but you were part of it too. He holds the key to this entire revenge annoyance yet is sitting like a lame duck!
--------------------
Moving on ... the first part of Arjun & Radhika scenes were a pleasant surprise. I was laughing when I heard Radhika praying to get "chutkara" from this marriage lie - followed by Arjun's "Impossible". He knew her guards were down (she is praying after all) and he took full advantage to rile her up. LOL at "stop calling me sir' biwi-ji"! That was quite funny and left Radhika stumped and flustered. Ah, so he got a reaction from her, alas. That is all our dark knight was after (apart from some more happy memories to hold on to).
Ok now on to the stuff that was quite meh for me. Pandit talking about the day being auspicious and the couple being together for 7 janams in this relation... while it was nice, but too cliched and in your face! Also, how many times are you supposed to ring that mandir bell?! Mala kept ringing it like it was a bell ringing contest - lol, (sorry I know it sounds mean). Arjun saves Mala - yay ... I wish it was more than just a bell-drop that Nandini had planned. That scene fell flat for me - didn't have the same impact as Arjun saving Radhika from Saral marriage at the temple.
At the end of episode, Nandini went all psycho on Radhika. Here I thought we could have a more human side to her yet she surprised me (again)! The entire light / darkness conversation is getting a bit too much for me personally - and judging by the face of Arjun, he is over it too, lol.
I guess if we have to look at the positives for today: The real Arjun is finally revealed to Radhika, with all his flaws and strengths. Hence as we had predicted, she will now be on a Save Arjun mission because in essence saving Arjun will result in Sam's safety as well. And that was the piece of puzzle Radhika figured out today! I am actually happy about this because this will lead to her realization of love.
The best scene for me between Arjun and Radhika was when Mala called him their angel, and he was denying everything of sorts but stopped mid-sentence when he looked at Radhika - that eye lock had a lot of understanding between the two. Reminded me of the time when Radhika called him a "bhagwan"; had such an impact on Arjun then that he went to Nandini questioning her on what good can come out of this revenge! I think it had the same type of effect on him today. Soul awakening of sorts!
The pre-caps were ho-hum for me. I really don't want her to be all "sanskari biwi" fighting the evil darkness of the Nanand! But pre-caps can be deceiving so I'll wait to see how it all plays out.
