Our audience has yet not come out of the high-voltage saas-bahu drama zone...
That's the problem.

😕

That makes no sense.

Storyline or no storyline. Why would u axe a top tenner show?
Plus, there are ads shown in the dym breaKs so we got plenty of sponsors.

Yet.

Somebody isstill not satisfied.

What gives???

I dont think that India Forums ranking n the TRPs are the same.
I have seen serials which had high rank on India Forums but average TRPs.

I guess...unless the mentality of the Indian audience changes we will never have any improvement in the quality of our shows...True indians love saas bahu shit and of course ekta aunty shows 😡

MMZ is such a great show i agree it has flaws but there can be room for improvement but cvs are hell bent in shutting the show down ...neither they are promoting it nor excepting our request to change the time slot 😡

I agree with you Arjun revenge agenda was very poor they writers could have done more 😡...And Ardhika or SamArj ..Aham looks stunning woth both the girls 😳

Wish that any how MMZ does get a secend chance 😕

I never saw any promo of this serial...No promo of Ardhika wedding...no promo of Nandini's entry.
I guess there is a lot of partiality...
Even in Star Parivar n other awards, people get awarded mainly based on the TRPs n rarely on acting ralent.

I guess it'll take a lot of time for change to happen.

Beautiful post Amrita! :)

I believe we have met in MB forum earlier, and its great to see your post here :)

I completely agree with all the points you have mentioned about this show, the actors and characters! All in all, you have summed up my feelings about this show.

Manmarziyan was a show that I was looking forward to watching, ever since I heard about Aham's comeback news.😆Once the show started, the concept overall appealed to me as it was fresh...and over time, I began appreciating all the 4 lead characters/actors. Even though I started watching the show for Aham, Kashmira is the one who became my favourite in this show.😳

As the title of the show suggests, I was looking forward to watching some great friendships, love, and relationships forming and bonding in the show. The characters were well-written and shaped, and they all had their own personal charm.

I feel such a brilliant cast, specifically Kashmira, Monica, Aham and Shravan have been wasted due to the TRP demands. One of the best things about this show is that all 4 leads shared chemistry with one another. Whether it was a sizzling SamArj scene, an intense ArDhika scene, an emotional NeSam scene, a cute RaNeil scene or even a sweet Sam-Radz scene. All the actors looked great with one another in one frame. This is what I will miss the most!

PS. - I am glad I found a rare fan like myself who is a Ahamira and ArDhika fan at the same time.😆I thought I was the only crazy person out here who loved both.

Thanks...Yes we have met before in Mahabharat forum in a not so pleasant thread 😆
I feel that Aham has better chemistry with Kashmira but I like Ardhika story more than Samarj...
I am glad too to find someone sharing the same thoughts as me... 😊

I don't think that blaming the mentality of Indian audience is appropriate. After all, its not always saws bahu shows which get success. People watch show for entertainment and each of them have their own reasons and ways of getting entertained! Some watch it for drama as it make them laugh and enjoy. I have seen many watch sass bahu shows for entertainment only. They don't get attached to show, just watch it as daily dose of passing time and laughter.
Otherwise I agree with everything in your post.

Star is a trp hungry network. No expectations from it! They even closed Airlines abruptly for same which was a limited series show!

Actually not only saas-bahu...only some formulae work with Indian audience.

Saas-bahu
Angry boss-talkative assistant where boss keeps on pinning the assistant to the wall n gives us angry looks.
Family drama with bahus giving test after test.
Mindless teen love stories in posh college settings where students never study but only plot n fall in love.

Anything apart from this is a flop. Thankfully mythological n historical shows have come to our rescue.

As for TRPs...they come from viewership only.
Some serials get more TRPs bcoz people prefer them to other serials...n such serials in general belong to the above mentioned categories.
