Chapter 5:

6 years later... MUMBAI.

6 years. It is a long time, for everyone. Almost nothing's changed in the lives here yet everything was changed. From outside one can never know, the reality of all these lives. But after entering the boundary line, one may know how much messed their lives were.

Yet they somehow managed to maintain the smile on their faces. Life is all about facing and fighting the hurdles thrown upon them. Overcoming them, having new experiences, learning new lessons everyday...

Yet there are many untold lessons hidden from their view.

6 yrs brought changes in Mishra family. Now no one ever speaks about a girl named Radhika. For them they never have any such girl in their family. Still sometimes Ankush, and Dadaji missed her presence , but the very next second get harshly reminded of the TRUTH. For the Mishra family, Samaira is their new daughter. You can also say, Sam has taken place of Radhika in the Mishra house and their hearts.

About, Khanna family. There lives few people. Piyali, and Samrat with Manya, Sam, and their son-in-law. Yup their son-in-law, NEIL. Uhun huh, don't mistake him to be Manya's hubby. Nop he's Sam's husband. Ooops, namesake husband. Not even namesake, considering, except the family, and few close friends no one knows the truth.

Neil's mother is no more. Manya is as cold as ice to all of them. She stays with them, but behaves as if others don't even exist. About Sam, she's half crack now. She's all sane for the world, but only the close ones knows about her mental condition. She got divorced from Arjun after almost a year later. And till then he's almost her obsession. And now the condition is such she doesn't believe her marriage with Neil's and still considers herself as Arjun's wife. She would like to be called as Samaira or Mrs Mehra, or Samaira Mehra. She still pesters him in the office, and others think them as a couple.

Well, a couple with a drowned relationship. As Arjun continuously snaps at her. His new girlfriends everyday. His regular one night stands. He has become a total Casanova. After Radhika's betrayal, he became more cold and casual towards life. He never takes anything seriously. He's still close to Nandu , but not like before. He got Divorced from Sam, proving she's mentally disturbed. And seeing her obsession towards him, its no hard task to prove that.

No one knows the actual reason for SamArj's separation other than Nandini, Arjun, and Samrat. All others take Arjun's behavior is due to Radhika, as told by Sam. She believed that Radhika has destroyed her life, and everyone blindly believed it. Well Arjun is least bothered as he has fulfilled his promise to Nandu. Nandu doesn't care coz she can see Samrat bearing the regular torment, in front of her eyes. Samrat feels breathing to be a hard task as guilt was mixed in his entire being.

The lifes of the other people,like Teji, Changu- Mangu etc, is also normal.

Now we come to the Bird Song. Well Bird Song is the place where everyone can breathe freely. This place connects them all, not only to each other, but also to themselves. After marriage, the 50% of the Bird Song got transferred under Arjun's name, which they couldn't get back. Now Piyali and Arjun works together for the company. The 50% of his share was later transferred to Nandini's name, so she works there too.

Ankush, works under Arjun, as they still have to repay the loan of Arjun, he gave during the fire fiasco of Mishra shop.

So yup, this is their Sanctuary. Bird Song is the Sanctuary to all this lives. Sanctuary from the troubles of life, from the torments of past, uneasiness of present, and worry of future.

But they are still unknown that storm is knocking on their door. Its waiting for the correct time, for destroying their Sanctuary, for making the odds even. For DARKNESS to overcome LIGHT.

Somewhere in the corner of the world...

A girl was sitting on a chair looking outside the window, at the lurking storm. The whole room is darkened with only the street lights enlightening the room.

"Hmmm... I never knew that darkness could be so peaceful. It saves you from other's eyes. If you hide in the darkness, no one would knew who's attacking and from where. But for that you have to befriend the darkness. The darkness could be your worst enemy, or your bestest friend. Its for u to decide what you chose.", she said to the mens standing behind her, bowing their head.

"Yes mam..", one of them said.

"Mam, we did as you told. We'll definitely have it our way.", the other one said.

"I know that already.", she said with a confidence, to which they wordlessly nodded.

"Hmm... It seems like storm is already at doorstep.", she said to herself.

Just then her phone rang. Just when she saw the name flashing on the screen, a broad smile spreads on her face. Although she's the resident of Darkness now, but there's still some people in her life who connects her with the light. They were the people for whom, she haven't forgot the existence of LIGHT. And here comes the call of the person who's on the top of the list. HER HUSBAND.

The little which came from the mob is enough for the men to see the smile on their Mam's face. They understood, she may need privacy, and hence left the place.

She received the call and as soon as she pressed the mob against her ears, she got a shower of kisses.

"Ummmaaahhh... Ummmaaahhh... Ummmaaahhh."

"Same to you...", she said with a mischevious smile.

The person smiled knowing her habit of teasing him.

"Jaan.", he said.

"Hmm.."

"Jaanu..", he again said.

"Hhmmm..."

"Janeman. Janejigar. Jaanisar. Janebahar."

"Hmm.."

"I miss you.."

She smiled knowing him. His love is her power. And never lets her energy down. He's always there to charge her up.

"And I love u.", she said with a smiling face.

"Haaayyyeee...", he said dramatically.

In response she giggled .

"Hmmm. I love your smile..", he said with a dreamy smile on his face.

"Is it?!?", she said mocking him.

"Do you have doubt on that?!?", continuing the game.

"I thought you love her smile more than me..", she said naughtily.

"Yah, I do. And you comes on the second position.", he said seriously.

"So you love her more than me?!?!", she asked.

"Although I doesn't want to agree, but its true.", he said with a sigh.

"Hmm.. I understand. We can't fight with our heart for whom to love more or less.", she said with an understanding smile.

"Yup babes. Well when are you coming back??", he asked eagerly.

"As soon as my work is finished. You know my boss right. He can be a real pain in butt if he wants. Although he's very casual but never compromises with the work."

"Ya. Dumbass.. Keeping my wifey away from me.", he said sadly.

"Don't u think, she must be missing u???"

"Oh yah.. I forgot, I need to go, or will have to bear her scoldings. And remember, no matter what, I'm always there by your side..."

Just when she was about to keep the phone, he shouted, "Hey wait..."

"What???", she asked confusingly.

" I LOVE U...", with this he cut the call.

She couldn't help but chuckle, at his gesture. With all the bad that has happened in her life, God has been fair enough to bring few people like him in her life. And it would be very unfair not to appreciate those gifts of God.

About the pain she have gone through. Well she's now enough powerful, for setting everything at proper places. She's going to make them realize of their mistake. Each one of them. In her own way.

And with the support of her new found family, she's going to do exactly that...

Wait for me, people... I'm coming to get you...

Well, first of all, I'm extremely sorry for not commenting on your earlier part. I was actually busy. But the last made me cry so much!!!
