Dosti...Yaariyan...Manmarzian is about 4 youngsters - Radhika, Samaira, Neil, Arjun and their outlook on friendship, relationships and love. Apart from it DYM is also a journey of two girls Radhika and Sam in making an identity of their own in the world by following their heart and letting their dreams take flight.

Radhika hails from Rishikesh and Sam is a Mumbaikar. They first meet when Sam comes to Rishikesh for an Ad Shoot. Sam visits Radhika's store to purchase a rope and her requirements of the rope; gives Radhika an impression that Sam is gonna commit suicide. When Sam learns about this she laughs and tells that she is here for a shoot. Radhika along with her brother and Saral (He is in love with Radhika and wants to marry her) reaches the shoot venue as Sam had forgotten to pay for the rope. Radhika is thoroughly impressed by the work that gets done there. But the shoot stops suddenly when the model informs the team that the tagline of their product has already been used. Everybody looks into it and it turns out to be true. Chaos follows as they have to get the shoot completed on the very day. Everybody is brain storming for a tagline when Radhika who has a natural penchant for writing makes one in her mind and voices it out in an audible tone. Sam and the director instantly like the tagline and use it. Sam tells Radhika that she is a natural and would do well in the ad world and suggests her to come to Mumbai. Radhika who always knew she wanted to do more than just become somebody's wife finally gets a new direction in life and decides to make her dreams come true.

Radhika's father is an overbearing man who does not like big cities or its people; so going to Mumbai is simply out of question for Radhika. But Radhika's sweet-old Dadaji who always encourages her to dream and live those dreams supports her fully. Dadaji tells Radhika that they can tell Dilip (Radhika's father) once she gets the Job coz chances are less he will refuse then. With Dadu's motivation Radhika decides to ask Sam to help her find a job in Mumbai. While Radhika's dad is overbearing, Sam's mom Piyali also CEO of their Ad agency - Birdsong is hard to please woman. She always dampens her daughter's spirits and finds fault in Sam's work. Sam had just finished listening to her mother's taunts and accusations over the phone when Radhika comes to meet Sam to talk about a job in Mumbai. Honestly but unintentionally Radhika lifts Sam's spirits and confidence.

Enter Neil; Sam's BBF. They love each other to death and are each other's support system. For Neil, Sam is his SAMANDAR SINGH and for Sam, Neil is her IDIOT. A sweet, chilled, fun, loving and amazing guy Neil is also the Creative Head of Birdsong. They both understand each other even when words aren't exchanged and that is also the reason he comes to Rishikesh in the first place. He meets Radhika who he addresses as Chashni (Sugar Syrup) and requests her with his puppy dog eyes, cute pout and charming attitude to be their guide and show them Rishikesh. She agrees and they go Bungee Jumping, river-rafting, flying fox, temple touring etc and have a time of their life. All the while Radhika tries to talk to Sam about a job in Mumbai but she does not get an opportunity. When Dilip finds out Radhika is with Sam; somebody with whom he had an altercation earlier that morning he reprimands her. Sam and Neil return to Mumbai and Radhika mails Sam about the Job and waits for her reply. Soon after Radhika tells Dilip that she wants to do job in Mumbai but her father tells if she wants to do job she can, but in Rishikesh. Dadaji however asks her not let go of her dreams and wait for Sam's reply.

Mumbai: At Birdsong Sam and Piyali argue over the recent Ad. TWIST IN TALE - While Sam argues that she got the Ad. done and the client liked her work; Piyali reminds her of the girl who helped her. Piyali praises Radhika and right on cue Sam gets Radhika's call. Before Radhika could ask anything Sam cuts her by praising her for the tagline and that she should be in Mumbai and that Birdsong needs her and would be out of business if not for her and asks her to come fast. Radhika get's extremely happy hearing this. But in reality Sam was just taunting her mother and taking out her frustration. Sam meant nothing but for Radhika those become the most happy words in her life. At Birdsong everybody is working on a new campaign that is headed by Neil. Sam and the office gossiper Bonnie are the two contenders pitching their ideas. Based on their work the slot of a creative director that has been recently vacated will be filled by either one. Sam makes a great Ad. idea but she can't come up with a good tagline. Bonnie helps her with a tagline which in reality has been used by some brand in the past something that Sam is oblivious to. While it is Sam's idea that get's selected, her carelessness of not checking the tagline costs her the Creative Director's position which is given to Bonnie. After the conference Sam's father Samrat Khanna (Owner of Birdsong) argues with Piyali and tells that Sam deserved the CD position more. Sam comes to talk to Piyali and the latter ridicules Sam by asking her what is she on her own? What's her identity if not the daughter of Piyali Khanna's? Dejected Sam leaves Birdsong and tells that she will prove her worth, her talent and show that Samaira Khanna is somebody.

Samaira is walking on the streets crying and recollecting her mom's words and *FLASHBACK* shows that Sam had a brother Jai who was 4 years elder to her who died in a car-accident. Sam was driving the car, while she escaped without even a scratch her brother dies on the spot. That day Sam not only lost her brother but also her mother. She is engrossed in thoughts when out of nowhere a dog attacks her. Enter ARJUN - The brooding, handsome, mysterious stranger who helps Sam. Arjun tells that he was taking the Dog to his friends place but it was getting hard to control it. The Dog-Bonzo bonds with the Sam and refuses to leave her side. Sam tries to take Bonzo to Arjun's car tricks him to stay put but he just sticks by her. When Arjun witnesses Bonzo not leaving Sam he asks her to come along. When she hesitates and refuses because he is a complete stranger he asks her to take Bonzo to her place or to an animal shelter. Since Sam left her home and as of now has no idea about her own future she gets thinking and eventually agrees to go with Arjun to drop Bonzo at his friends place. Throughout the drive whenever Arjun says something to Sam or answers her questions his replies are such that it indicates this was no chance encounter. They reach Arjun's friends place but sees nobody around and this decides to wait for the care-taker to come. When Sam if he can get her something to drink he digs out bottles of beer, which he says he buried along with his friend for such a day. Sam gets drunk and she thinks about the happy days with her family. She tries to conceal her tears with a smile and all this is being watched by Arjun. They leave Bonzo at the Shelter and Arjun drops Sam at Neil's place. But before he leaves Arjun advices Sam that she can do either if the two things in life when she comes across a problem Ya toh Bhaag Lo, Ya Bhag Lo" Eng. translation She can either run or she can participate and face it straight ahead.

Rishikesh: Radhika plans to tell Dilip about getting a Job and plans to take her sister help for this but gets stunned when her sister talks to Dilip about Saral's marriage proposal for Radhika. Entire family is happy and decides to fix a day for the Roka. That night Dadu gives Radhika some money he had saved and asks her to run away. On the day of the Roka, Radhika is nowhere to be found. Dadaji tells the family that she ran away but Dilip is certain that Radhika can never do something like that. Dilip goes to the ghat to find a sad looking Radhika. After talking to Radhika who is ready to sacrifice her dreams for his happiness Dilip feels that he is being unfair. Just when the Roka was about to begin Dilip asks them to stop and informs all that Radhika has got a job in Mumbai and that she is going to take up on it. Saral (The Boy) and his family are mighty displeased and decide to break off the engagement. Thinking about her family's reputation Radhika speaks up and asks them to give her 6 months to prove herself, live her dreams and become something. Saral who is in love with her and wishes only to marry her agrees to this and the Roka happens. Radhika, her father and Dadu decide to leave for Mumbai.

Mumbai: Samrat comes to meet Sam at Neil's place to remind her that she is not just Piyali's daughter but Samrat Khanna's too and that Birdsong will always await her return. While sitting at a Caf Sam is approached by the CEO of Samudra; Birdsong's rival company, who offers her a job as creative head. A meeting is fixed for the next say and Sam starts thinking about the offer but her thoughts are interrupted by Arjun's voice who is at the same caf she is. She asks him if he is following her and he says YES'. They engage in a game of scrabble and by the end of their conversation Sam is forced to think about accepting/declining the rival company's offer. Sam tells Neil about the offer and he is shocked when she tells him she is taking the job. Radhika-Dilip-Dadu reaches Mumbai and goes to Birdsongs office only to find that Sam has left the company. Dejectedly they plan on returning when Sam comes back motivated by Arjun's words from the previous day. Radhika meets Sam but is shocked to learn that Sam wasn't serious about what she said over phone. Radhika reminds Sam about her second call asking her to come to Mumbai which Sam point black refuses. Sam leaves to meet the clients while Radhika recalls the incidents revolving the second call and realizes that there was no second call and it was all Dadaji's plan to get them to Mumbai. Radhika confronts Dadaji who admits to have executed the second call with help which shatters Radhika. Heart-broken she decides to go back home and tells Dilip the same but Dilip decides to talk to Piyali before leaving. Dilip barges into Piyali's cabin and accuses Sam of cheating Radhika by promising a job and then shattering her dreams. Dilip who is still unaware of the second call being Dadaji's plan keeps faulting Sam when Dadaji confesses the truth about the second call. Dilip is shocked and realizes there is no point arguing as they too are at fault. Sam taunts Dilip who was lecturing about upbringing and culture, but is instantly stopped by Radhika who reminds Sam of her first call and offering job to which Sam has no answer. Piyali too recalls the conversation and realizes that somewhere Sam is at fault. She asks Sam to apologize to Dilip and Radhika and eventually offers Radhika a Job because she believes the girl is truly talented.

Radhika's first day at work: Sam who is mighty pissed off at the recent turn of events decides to teach Radhika a lesson. With the help of two of her colleagues who she and Neil fondly call Changu-Mangu (Zubin-Kratika) plans a BPL (Bum Pe Laat) which they present as a ritual for any newcomer at Birdsong. Radhika is to research about Men's underwear which is an important campaign. They also introduce the office peon as the client to make everything look more authentic. Radhika believes that it's a serious project and gets to work. The entire office mocks her behind her back. Finally Radhika shares what she learned from the research causing everybody to burst into laughter. Sam reveals what BPL is and Radhika leaves the conference room in tears. Piyali arrives at the office and Bonnie uses that very moment to reveal what Sam has been up to. When Piyali questions Radhika, she lies about what happened. Everybody leaves but Piyali tells Sam that just because she does not know the truth does not mean she isn't unaware of it. Sam leaves and Piyali asks to take Radhika along as she will be learning and working under Sam. After Piyali leaves Neil offers to show Radhika her seat and while leaving kinda reprimands Sam for stretching the whole prank a bit too much. Ever since their 2^nd encounter Arjun has invaded Sam's thoughts. She feels drawn towards him; smiles to herself recalling his words, in other words is falling hard and fast for theman. After the morning debacle Sam calls Arjun but he rejects her call. Unknown to Sam Arjun is standing right outside Birdsong's building with his uncle. The uncle is not one bit happy about what Arjun is planning to do and urges him to rethink his decision. He requests Arjun not to target Sam because she is innocent but Arjun says he has to and nothing can stop him.On knowing that Radhika wishes to meet her father and Dadu before they leave for Rishikesh, Changu-Mangu burdens Radhika with work so that she'd miss them. Sam is furious on learning this and reminds them that whatever happened is between her and Radhika and that they had no right to stop Radhika from meeting her family before they leave. Sam asks Radhika to leave for the airport. Radhika extends her hand thanking Sam but Sam refuses to take it saying she has just offered help not friendship. Sam is on her way to meet Neil but ditches the plan for Arjun who after ignoring her the entire day lands up before her outside the office. Radhika's cab gets stuck in the traffic but she meets Neil who helps her reach the airport by racing his bike through the hectic Mumbai traffic. Radhika bids good-bye and Neil drops Chashni at her relative's place where she is currently staying. The aunty scolds Radhika for coming later and warns that she'll have to look for a new accommodation if repeated. Sam tries to not look affected by Arjun but fails miserably. After some initial talks Arjun out of the blue asks Sam to become his wife which shocks the latter. He elaborates that he needs her help in convincing his driver to take money from him for the treatment of his very sick child to whose B'day celebrations he has been invited. Since the driver refuses to take money from Arjun, he hopes that if the Bahu aka the role Arjun wishes Sam would play tonight asks them to accept it they would. After some thinking Sam agrees. Sam plays her role to the T' and thoroughly enjoys the ongoing celebrations when all of a sudden she finds herself alone with no sign of Arjun. She calls Arjun whose mobile is switched off. Hurt that Arjun did not even have the courtesy to tell her he was leaving she leaves the venue in anger unaware that he was right there and had planned all this.

Birdsong is buzzing with the news of somebody joining the company in a senior level. To Sam's shock it happens to be Arjun - Birdsong's new head of Business Operations. Arjun brings Birdsong their biggest project till date - Maybelline New York. Neil asks Radhika to join the conference so that she can learn; but Changu-Mangu keeps her engaged with a pile of work. Arjun presents his idea while a baffled Sam tries to understand what is happening. Arjun is about to explain the concept of his' Maybelline Girl when Radhika enters right on cue holding a tray with coffee mugs - her ticket to enter the conference without making it seem rude to enter mid-way. The presentation starts and everybody is shocked to see Sam in Arjun's presentation. On being questioned Arjun weaves a story about how he met Sam and how they have been working on the concept for the past 3 days shocking Sam. He praises Sam for her contribution and Piyali oblivious to the truth is impressed by Sam's job. Neil is visibly hurt with Arjun's admission coz to him it looked like Sam knew about the new campaign head but did not share about it with her BBF. Following this it is revealed that Bonnie and Arjun know each other and not just acquaintances but there is probably a romantic angle involved from Bonnie's side if not from Arjun's. Bonnie is aware of Arjun plan of ruining Sam and is helping him in it. Arjun tries to talk to Sam but she refuses to listen and tells him that she does not wish to see him ever after the stunt he pulled. Having no choice Arjun calls out to Piyali who was passing by and asks her for a party so that he can meet and get to know the employees of Birdsong. Piyali agrees and invites all her employees but Sam refuses to go but Piyali insists that every employee should come.

Party at Khanna residence: Arjun recollects being at this house in FB's. Bonnie comes to Arjun and tells him that it is not easy to ruin Sam as long as Neil is there in her life. Arjun replies that breaking their trust will break them apart. Sam and Neil arrive at the venue and after much pleading from Sam, Neil agrees to listen to what she has to say about Arjun. Sam tells everything that had happened since she first met Arjun. Sam tells she is clueless about what Arjun wants but is not comfortable around him after what happened at the office. Neil assures her that nothing will happen to her as long as he is there with her; they enter the party. Arjun tries to talk/get closer to Sam but comes across Neil at every juncture. Samrat refuses to come to the party coz he was not consulted before hiring a new employee. Sam goes to meet her father and Neil offers to join but she tells him that she needs to be alone with her Father. Sam asks Samrat to come to the party for her but he refuses to go because it's his self-respect at stake. Sam meets Arjun on the way back to the party and after a small argument Arjun barges into Samrat's room and convinces him to come to the party with his words, charm and determination. Samrat agrees and Sam is surprised. Once outside Sam asks Arjun why he is doing all this and Arjun replies that he has a habit of helping others. Sam get's an impression that Arjun has come to Birdsong for her from his talks but he corrects her wrong notion by telling that he is there only for Samrat Khanna. Arjun brings Samrat to the party and Neil is shocked to see Sam right behind them when she clearly said that she wants to meet her father alone. At the party Radhika and her colleague Teji decide to leave but Changu-Mangu plans to purposely delay Radhika somehow. Arjun praises Samrat and his work and eventually asks him to play the piano something the man is very good at. A partner exchange dance begins and at a point when Sam and Arjun were to come as partners, Radhika who has come to the dance arena to find Changu-Mangu who said they would drop her, accidently comes in between Arjun and Sam. Arjun seizes the opportunity just to spite Sam and dances with Radhika. Though Radhika keeps telling him that she is running late Arjun pays no heed to her words and keeps dancing while Neil notices that Arjun is doing this intentionally. Arjun's wanted his actions to affect Sam in a deeper way and it does. Sam who by now is mighty impressed with Arjun for making her father feel important and special feels hurt and walks away. Arjun follows Sam; gets romantic with her and they dance in the verandah without any music. The dance ends with Arjun kissing Sam's hand and she thanks him for what he did for her father and hugs him. Neil who comes looking for Sam is shocked to see this as it was Sam who told him to help her stay from Arjun at the party.

NEXT DAY: Radhika calls home but her mom who already knows what happened the previous night thanks to the aunty who informed her asks Radhika to leave Mumbai and come home. Radhika's father, brother and Dadaji tries to convince Mala (Radhika's Mom) but she vows to not have even a drop of water until Radhika comes back. Sam is apartment hunting but nobody is ready to hire a tenant who is a single working woman. Sam finally calls the broker whose number Arjun had given her the previous night. Arjun comes to an apartment that belonged to somebody called Nandini Pandey. He smiles thinking about his time spent there and then recalls a life-altering incident that happened 15 years back in bits and pieces. Arjun's uncle is still trying to make Arjun see how wrong he is but Arjun tells that he wants payback and that he would ruin Sam's life exactly like Nandini's was ruined. He is sure Sam will come and right on cue Sam gets out of the auto and heads towards the apartment. She is surprised to find Arjun there who tells her that she will get the place for rent but has to go out on a date with him. Sam says that she wants the place but devoid of any condition and so says NO' to the date and leaves. Everybody is upset as Radhika is writing her resignation letter when she gets Saral's call. Radhika talks to Saral and ask him to convince her mom. Saral who is a possessive and wants Radhika back in Rishikesh uses this opportunity and frightens Mala more about Radhika's safety. Neil sees Sam and asks her to fix the mess as she started it. Radhika is about to handover her resignation when Sam stops her and tells her that she has a place and asks her will she share the apartment - 50/50. Sam and Radhika shake on it and then the team plans to convince Mala. Radhika's entire family comes for video chat and sees how everybody is helping Radhika settle into her new home; they assures Mala of her safety and pleads to allow Radhika stay in Mumbai. Mala refuses reminding them that Radhika was alone for an entire night out in the streets and that she can't let such stuff happen anymore. Everybody gets sad, Changu-Mangu feels guilty and they ask her not to go. Radhika tells that she will not be able to stay in Mumbai peacefully if her mother keeps worrying about her and that her dreams are not bigger than her mom's peace of mind. Somehow this entire incident cements Radhika's bond with the very people who were trying to get her ousted. The gang group hugs and Neil informs that they should leave for the airport. Unknown to the gang the Video chat is still on and Mala has heard everything which gives her the strength to fight the fear of her daughter living in a big city like Mumbai. Mala stops Radhika and her friends just when they were about to exit the apartment and happily agrees to allow Radhika stay in Mumbai as long as they all look after her which everybody happily agrees to.Everybody breaks in to hugs, laughter and merriment but Radhika notices the tension between Neil and Sam. Having seen Neil-Sam's amazing friendship closely, Radhika along with Teji, Changu and Mangu plan to end the cold war between the friends. Sam-Neil are sent for grocery shopping where they bicker, argue breaks the ice and finally hug it out. Neil apologizes and asks will Arjun keep coming between them but Sam assures nothing can come between them EVER.

Radhika is setting a small pooja ghar in her new home when Arjun switches off the main and comes inside. He misunderstands Radhika for Sam and hugs her from behind while keeping one hand on her mouth to prevent her from screaming. Arjun turns the girl before him only to realize that it's not Sam. Radhika is stunned, Arjun is shocked which is replaced by irritation on knowing Radhika is staying with Sam. The main is up, Neil-Sam enter the apartment to see Arjun with kumkum' smeared all over his shirt due to his unexpected encounter with Radhika. In her bid to explain the situation to Sam and Neil, Radhika slips and more kumkum falls on Arjun's. Angry Arjun asks Sam where her room is and leaves. Sam goes to her room where Arjun is thinking how his plans for Sam failed tonight. Sam and Arjun flirt, get romantic and are inches away from a kiss when Neil knocks on the door. Changu-Mangu-Teji come back from office and everybody works on the Maybelline Project while Radhika makes halwa-puri for all. Radhika serves the dish and tells how her mom always used to say anything new should be started with sweets so that the outcome is good. Arjun asks Radhika won't the outcome be good for those who do not eat sweets and though a little apprehensive Radhika answers him by saying that results will be good but those people won't be necessarily good. Arjun asks Radhika does she know a lot about people and she answers that certain habits give away many things about a person. He asks what she can tell about him and Radhika says that there is something holding him back from allowing happiness into his life. All look shocked as Arjun and Radhika get into an argument. While Arjun is furious that Radhika has read him perfectly without knowing anything about him Radhika remains calm and counters his every argument smilingly. Arjun's anger gets the better off him and he storms off leaving Sam very shocked who has never seen this side of Arjun. Soon after the rest of the team leaves and that night in their new home Sam and Radhika bond over Sam's past. Sam pours out her pain and Radhika absorbs it all. They talk all night and Radhika advices Sam to not give up and to keep knocking the doors that Piyali has shut since Jai's death until she opens them.

Next day the team working on Maybelline Project reaches a Mall to take survey on cosmetics where Arjun and Bonnie decide to put their plan in motion. They join hands with a man named Chirag who works at Samudra and uses him to prove that Radhika has sold out Birdsong's idea for money. Chirag meets with Radhika on the pretext of buying cosmetics for his wife and asks Radhika to help. Radhika helps the man who purposely drops the pouch carrying the cosmetics he just purchased. Radhika helps him and he walks out of the store when he gets a call. Sam decides to propose to Arjun and because Neil has always been her partner in crime asks him to come along for support. After a lot of refusal Neil agrees to go with Sam and put a happy face on but seeing Sam getting down on her knees to propose Arjun breaks him and he walks away. Sam looks back to find Neil gone and decides to not confess her love. Arjun sees Radhika looking for Chirag and on the verge of finding him, so he leaves Sam and rushes towards Radhika who he engages in a mindless conversation till Chirag is out of sight. Not finding Chirag, Radhika puts the pouch in her bag and walks off. Arjun and the team arrive at Sam and Radhika's place unannounced to work on the project. This is Arjun's plan to workout rest of the plan. While working Arjun purposely spills water on Bonnie who excuses herself to dry and change and uses the opportunity to exchange the pouch in Radhika's bag with a similar one that contains money. The team leaves and Arjun-Sam engage in some romance at the gate when Neil walks in. The bottle of champagne he brought along to celebrate Sam's earlier revelation of not confessing anything to Arjun crashes to the floor bringing Sam and Arjun out of the trance. Neil leaves still shocked while Sam runs behind him. She stops him from leaving and pushes him to the point where he is left with no option but to share what's going on with him. Seeing no way out a hurt and angry Neil shouts that he is in love with her and that he can't see her with anyone else as it pains him. Neil manages to get hold of his bike keys from Sam and speeds off. Sam spends the entire night thinking about Neil's confession while Neil cries and refuses to answer Sam's calls.

Sam and Neil come home to find a crying Radhika who swears that she knows nothing about the money and did not sell Birdsong's idea. Sam tells Radhika that she can never forget what she did. While Radhika assumes Sam is talking about what happened earlier Sam recounts the extent to which Radhika went to help Sam unite with her mom and hugs Radhika. Sam asks Radhika did she have no faith in their friendship and informs her that Birdsong needs her. All three get to work and decide to investigate about what happened later. The following morning Arjun is about to tells the Maybelline representatives that they have no presentation when Neil enters with Sam followed by Radhika. Radhika gives her presentation using a more impressive tagline with TRUST' being the keyword for the cosmetic range. At Birdsong everybody waits nervously for the call from Maybelline New York. Piyali attends the call and informs all that Birdsong has been chosen over Samudra and that they loved Birdsong's presentation. Arjun is angry; Bonnie is shocked while everybody else breaks into happy howling and hugs. Neil gives a shout out to Rishikesh's Chashni Ji' and Samrat thanks Radhika. Radhika however gives all credit to Arjun and tells that had it not been for Arjun sir's lessons on Vishwaas' nothing would have been possible. Radhika taunts Arjun indirectly and soon after thrusts the groundnuts he gave her the previous day back into his hands. Piyali announces a party in honor of Radhika and Arjun who helped them bag the account.

Party Night, Confession, Bonnie exposed: Sam comes to meet Neil but he says he is busy (Playing Cricket) and she leaves. After a while Neil gets a call telling that a girl has fainted and his was the last dialed number. Neil runs out and reaches the spot where Sam has fainted only to find out she was acting. Sam finally gets Neil to listen to her, she tells him that he is her best friend and that she loves him so much just not as in the Ishq wala way. Sam tells him that she does not want to lose him and if being with Arjun means losing him then she does not want to be with Arjun. Neil who has been silently shedding tears brushes them off and tells Sam that he did not mean what he said and tells her that they should plan on how to confess her love to Arjun. At the party Arjun-Radhika lock horns as usual. Neil arrives at the party with a very nervous Sam. Radhika is reminded of the video Bonnie shot and decides to find out who framed her and asks Teji to help. She talks to Bonnie who is not very helpful but catches Chirag number flashing on Bonnie's cell and get's suspicious. Sam admits her love to Arjun while Neil stands besides her trying to look happy but breaking from within. Once she has confessed Neil leaves and eventually Arjun takes her into the party. The party slowly comes to an end and Radhika sees Arjun leaving with Bonnie. Radhika being the loyal and straightforward person she tells Sam everything that she learned that night about Chiraag's call, Arjun's departure with Bonnie but Sam brushes aside Radhika's concerns. Radhika video chats with Dadu and shares everything that happened and he motivates her to bring out the truth. With Teji's help Radhika steals Bonnie's home keys and reaches Bonnie's house to see if she can find something there. They don't get away with snooping around much as they hear noises and try to hide. They go to the balcony and while Teji goes down using a ladder Radhika stays back hopeful to snoop some more if she gets a chance. She is surprised to see Bonnie with Arjun and her surprise turns into shock when she sees them hug each other that read anything but friendly from Bonnie's side. Radhika calls Sam and Neil and asks them to come to Bonnie's place. On their arrival Radhika reveals everything to them. Sam asks if she is sure about it as it's a very huge accusation against Arjun to which Radhika replies that she is positive. Sam, Neil and Radhika ring the bell and confront Bonnie who is nervous and quiet. Sam goes to Bonnie's bedroom to find Arjun standing there. Arjun stands calm and composed but when Sam walks out without asking him anything he goes behind her. Neil and Radhika are angry and Sam is in tears and just when they are about to leave Piyali and Samrat enter the scene. Arjun spins a new story where he reveals that Bonnie is the one who framed Radhika. Piyali fires Bonnie from Birdsong while Radhika looks at Arjun shocked and Neil finds something is fishy. Arjun tells Sam that somebody had framed her friend and it was important to find out the truth. FB Shows how Arjun had felt the presence of somebody in the balcony and found groundnuts on the floor thus concluding Radhika' s presence. After Samrat and Piyali leave Arjun talks to Sam and asks her to meet him tonight. Sam agrees but Radhika warns Arjun to keep away from Sam. She tells him that as long as she is with Sam she will not allow Arjun to hurt her.

Sam, Neil and Radhika come home. Sam locks herself in the room while Neil and Radhika try to make sense of what happened. Radhika swears what she saw and recalls how smartly Arjun twisted the whole situation. Radhika further tells Neil that they have to stop Sam from meeting Arjun as he might propose Sam as she had seen a ring earlier that day. She tells that Sam's YES' will lead to nothing but pain and heartbreak to which Neil says that as friends they can't stop Sam but can lend their support her and be there for her if and when she falters. Sam comes out of her room dressed and ready to go on her date with Arjun. Radhika tries to stop Sam but Neil on the other hand though sad does not stop Sam instead tells her that he will support her in whatever she does as long as she is happy. Arjun who plans on proposing Sam has FB's of a young lady called Nandini who was his only family in the entire world. He remembers her being in love and how happy she was when the man had supposedly proposed to her. The FB further shows Nandini and the man she is in love with having a huge argument where the man tells Nandini that he can't leave his family that the ring was just a gift and it meant nothing more. Nandini tries to stop him and little Arjun falls on to that mans feet and asks him to not leave his Nandu to which the man replies that he is too young and does not understand or know what he is saying. The Man is Samrat Khanna.

Neil and Radhika drop Sam at her date venue. Neil is about to leave when Radhika asks him to stop and tells him that she does want strong arms to hold her friend when she falls instead needs them to hurt the person who can cause her friend to fall and goes to stop Sam. At the date site Arjun proposes Sam with the same ring that once Samrat had gifted Nandini. A teary-eyed Sam tells Arjun that till yesterday this moment would have given her happiness but today it does not. The smile from Arjun's face disappears as Sam slowly recounts every incident that has happened since they met. She tells how Arjun initially said and did one thing but then eventually spun a new tale. Sam tells the only reason he did this was because he never trusted her. She compares him with Radhika who has done nothing but trust her and with finality in her tone Sam tells Arjun that Radhika can be many things but she can never be a liar. She tells Arjun that she does not know what Arjun-Bonnie's truth is but if Radhika feels that something is wrong she trusts her. Radhika stands afar without interfering because she sees Sam taking a stand for herself. Sam burns the Saree that Arjun gifted her in the campfire and leaves while Arjun is shocked at the turn of events. Sam comes to Neil who keeps looking at her fingers and is confused to see no ring. Sam tells Neil nothing happened which shocks the latter but he brushes aside all that when he notices how hurt Sam is. Neil asks Sam to tell what happened but she asks him to let it be and requests him to take her home. Radhika goes to retrieve Sam purse only to witness Arjun destroying everything he had set-up for his date night. While driving back home Neil and Radhika try to cheer Sam up. Neil drops the girls who walk towards their home to find Arjun standing there. Sam tells Radhika she does not want to talk to Arjun and races up the stairs followed by Radhika. When Arjun tries to get past Radhika; she stops him and tells him that as long as she is in his path he will never reach Sam. Arjun asks her to move and also threatens her. However Radhika does not back off but knocks the living lights out of Arjun when she tells him that she does not know why he is doing this and that there is no reason in the world small or big that would ever justify Sam's tears. Radhika's word hits Arjun and he backs off and walks off in daze. Radhika reaches the apartment to find Sam dressed and leaving for location hunting for the Maybelline shoot. Radhika offers to join her, suggests to take Neil along but Sam refuses. Sam leaves but Radhika joins her telling that she can give her company till the bus station. All the while Radhika keeps messaging Neil hoping he would reach the bus station and join Sam so she wouldn't be alone. Radhika tries to convince Sam to not go alone but Sam says she needs to be alone. A very cute and heart-touching moment follows as Radhika gets Sam everything she may need on the journey. Even after several attempts Neil is nowhere to be seen and slowly Sam's bus starts to pulls off from the station. The next scene shows Neil in his home dress entering Sam's bus and calling out to his Samandar Singh. Sam gets happy seeing Neil but soon it dawns upon her that it's her Chashni who is responsible for Neil reaching there on time. Sam bids bye to Radhika and leaves.

The next day at Birdsong Radhika comes to know that Arjun is leaving for Lonavala where Sam and Neil have headed. She plans to join Arjun on the trip along with Teji, Changu-Mangu. After some initial arguments Arjun is left with no choice but to take them along. Radhika gets Sam's call and she somehow manages to convey the message that everybody is headed towards Lonavala. Sam who does not want to see or meet Arjun makes a huge hungama in the bus and get down midway along with Neil. Sam tells why she got down and the duo head towards Khandala. Radhika's words, actions, songs and questions especially about his mother (Which reminds him of Nandini) angers Arjun who stops the car and asks everybody to get down. He lies that something is wrong with the vehicle and asks everybody to get down and push. All 4 unwillingly get down and push the vehicle which does not budge as Arjun has pulled up the hand-break. After a lot of tries and some more argument Arjun speeds off leaving the four behind. Neil and Sam on the other hand try to hitch a ride but seem to have no luck. Radhika and gang walk a certain distance to find Arjun changing the tyre of his SUV. Radhika approaches Arjun who is furious at the turn of events and calls her bad luck. While the two argue the tyre that was only half fixed; rolls off the road which infuriates Arjun all the more. He asks Radhika to get it and pushes her only to result in her falling and pulling him along with her. They roll over each other and on stopping Arjun notices blood on Radhika's face which makes him worried. However Radhika notices that it's Arjun's hand that is bleeding but before she could help him, he walks away. On the other hand Neil finally gets a truck to stop but when he turns to call Sam he understands the truck stopped for her. Neil is shocked to see Sam's standing behind him looking like a pregnant young woman and he falls more in love with his best friend. They take the ride offered and a laugh riot follows. Radhika offers to help Arjun who can't fix the tyre on his own and after some more argument which Radhika wins with her simple and honest words Arjun allows Radhika to help him. Sam and Neil escape from the thrashes of the Punjabi truck driver who gave them lift when the man finds out that he was tricked. They run care-free, laughing hard and when they stop Neil asks Sam to always remain happy and content. Sam agrees on one condition that if she as much as talks about love Neil has to give her two tight slaps for doing such a foolish thing as falling in love again. Neil is shocked at Sam's resolution of never to fall in love while on the other hand Arjun asks Radhika to move aside from his path to which Radhika answers that she won't as long as Sam wants her to stay in that path.
