I completely agree with your post! I have NEVER found why Indian television producers/writers seem to consider a man physically harassing a woman as "romantic" and "mechanisms for building chemistry" and sadly instead of this trend fading and women standing up to such MCP men, we have them falling for them instead. Future redemption or "transformation" does not erase all the physical aggression these male characters have engaged in nor does it nullify their previous behaviors. Yes, a lot of popular couples have the male character as physically and emotionally aggressive towards female characters and I have never really supported them for that because as a woman I can't relate to women who let men dictate and harass them like that. It is not realistic at all and honestly not entertaining at least to me. It's one thing to "hate" a character and another to hurt them this way since their always is an "imbalance" between the aggression of the male character and softness of female character to really appeal but that's just me.

Arjun is doing wrong with both women. Radhika is his employee and to harass her like that is not acceptable. Similarly, to manipulate and charm his way into Samaira's heart and life only with motives to destroy it is wrong. The only difference and important difference is that Samaira "allowed" Arjun to dance with her/hug her which Radhika has never done yet. Heck why these two, Arjun is doing wrong with Bonnie as well but also his closeness with her is voluntary.

Again i would say there is a huge difference between real life and reel life

In real life yes this is called harassment and no girl will ever fall in love with such a guy and if she does then she needs real help

But in reel life that is how 90% of love stories start😆

Holding hands forcefully is nothing i have seen serials in which so called heroes forcefully marry the heroine yet the heroine falls in love with them and these serials become huge hits

At end of the day this is a business CV's know this formula of hate love stories work so they keep using it .

I see your point (and you are right about it being a successful tactic) but I don't think it makes it right for male characters to engage in such behaviors not does it make for a good message for young women who watch such shows. Honestly, I am a little sick of such male characters that literally treat women like shit and those women fall in love with them anyway. Besides, at least for me, I began watching this show because the makers and cast claimed it was "realistic" and "new" so I am disappointed to be honest. I was okay with Arjun initially because he was still shrouded in mystery and the show was in its initial stages but I have been getting more and more disappointed with him with each episode because he has become a caricature of which I thought he wouldn't be. I am okay with watching him in a Villanous role provided they don't project him as a "hero" or "tragic"

Soni, seriously he likes chashni's hand. Arjun has 2 hobbies: eliminating everybody around Sam so that he can takes revenge from her & grabbing chashni's hand. LOL

Coming 2 Arjun, well be it ArDhika or SamArj wat he is doing with the 2 is harassement not always but yes that's a fact! And nowadays it's becoming repetitive I'm bit fed up coz cv's really NEED 2 build up his character. And as someone said forcing Bonnie 4 his own benefit that's also bad!
For the moment I wanna c a change in Arjun's track & yes Neil is my fav male character, wanna c more of him 2 rather than the buddy of Sam, Radhika. His character is relastic. 😊

I totally agree what you share. Yes it is a harassament. Argun is harassing both Radhika and Sam and CVs are just neglecting this torture because many viewers (don't mind) and even Cvs thinks it's a trend to spice up the story and to depict chemistry between two. I remember a show like these scenes on SP. It's seems history repeating itself which i am going to hate, if it would be a copy.
The show is constantly hinting and giving signs that in future there would be something between Arjun and Radhika that she will take him out of darkness and will make him trust on himself and others again and i am in no doubts that it will happen definitely. I just hope this all doesn't happen on the cost of Sam broken heart, radhika self respect and shattering of her strong character and by becoming a 'victim' and arjun portraying as a beechara akal ka maara. That would be unfair and not a sweet way to show love story.

Its the speciality of indian telly to show scenes like this in romantic ways. I mean in real life arjun would have fired or suspended for this kind of behaviour with new employee But since its indian telly they will show this in romantic angle such cliched track of typical sadist guy manhandeling girl.
