I thought the whole proposing thing was wrong too, but then read a post on X which thought of it as a last-ditch attempt by Maan to at least tell Doree he loved her, in a hope that the confession might change her decision to leave the house.

It gave vibes of psycho Maan, but the Maan in the original episode had those slightly cunning, selfish traits- remember that he wanted to bribe to get the prasad and avoid waiting in the line? And he straight up rejected Doree when she came for the case, asking her ruthlessly to get out if she didn't have money.

Kinda made sense, albeit the whole setup could've been slightly better if they wanted to drive home that specific message.

Also worth keeping in mind that the show is under TRP pressure, and the writers were forced to bring separation/tadka, and opted for this track as their best attempt to get drama, but at the same time trying not to make the ML too toxic.

Maan's too gullible to believe Rn despite trolling in her in the past. Rn is taking full advantage of his sensitive emotions to drive a wedge between him & doree. But him making all the decisions without even consulting Doree was too much. Now, unless the makers show him plotting to reveal Rn's truth, then it will be interesting but for now him filing a case against Gp based on a morphed video was too much.

Yaa yaa i remember all that but still it was so ott like how can you expect her to accept your love when at the same time you are blaming her father on which your relationship was based from the start like it was not the time . Maan waa giving psycho vibes and i didn't like that at all ..i know he is a complicated character not completely white but still . It did put me off

It is a redux of the temple scene & the case rejection interaction. MU was expected when Maan realized his love for Doree & Rn took advantage of his weak moments whereby she let the cat out of the bag.

I think it is what Rajnandini put in his mind. That Doree will stand with him because she stands with truth. And he was too scared to lose Doree. The proposal seemed out of place but I think the writers went for Doree pleasant dream the previous night turning into brutal reality. That's the only thing I could think of why proposal was there. But Doree's dialogues were pretty good. She tells him that Maan should find the Maan that accepted Shubhi, knew how to live relationships and fought for them. If that Maan Thakur comes go her she will tell him what she feels for him.

Creepy Deep again gave distasteful offer to Doree, she wanted to slap him but Ambika stops her. Doree threatens them that she will come back and expose them.

I other news, Maan's mother is back, she was in mental asylum. Kailashi knows about adult Doree and Doree inadvertently falls in her room. Kalishi and she tries to suffocate Doree. Maan gets a premonition of Doree being in danger.
