If you've watched ITV for a while, most scenes will seem a bit cheesy. There's not a lot of "uniqueness" in terms of plot- it's mostly the same stuff done everywhere, but executed by different actors.
That being said, I'll take the current plot over something like the Zee Bhagyaserials any day. KKB was essentially jail, kidnapping at parties, hospital re-done over and over again, with leaps thrown in when the audience got tired.
I have my expectations REAL low from this serial because it's Rangu.
Rangu aren't the pioneers of good plots- they're the same guys who gave us that infamous Simar curtain choke scene, that wick dancing one and all the Naagin stuff.
Parineeti is an absolute joke of a serial IMO, but gets ratings and Rangu is happy to continue with it!
The (relative) pioneers of good plots are Sony, but they struggle from a TRP point and shut up shop after 90-100 episodes.
Have to find a bit of a middle ground because the current TRP system doesn't encourage good plots.
This serial isn't perfect by any means, but is a lot better than some of the other ITV trash.
As long as the negative folks don't win, I'm good with the occasional cheesiness.
The pairing (on paper and so far in the show) is pretty good, ML-FL don't misunderstand each other much and are together, and that's important.
There's pretty much very few novelty scenes that can be shown between the leads that are acceptable romantically on screen. It's all rinse repeat at this point, except that hands tied to bed - sponge bath
Itna kinky shayad hi kisine expect kiya hoga.
The show is currently running for the leads chemistry and the baby. Let's see how they go on.
