Aroona Irani is all set with her new show for Zee TV, tentatively titled Naagin. The daily evening show will be on air from the end of July. The show revolves around the life of an ichchhadhaari naagin. The show will have an amalgamation of new and old faces.

Says Aroona, "We are finalising the show, and I cannot reveal much yet. The concept is mine. I feel these subjects always work and are evergreen, like stories of Ramayan, Sai Baba and Hanuman." Reportedly, Aroona is planning to approach Sangeeta Ghosh for the title role.

Elaborating on the story, our source says, "The production house is keen on roping in Pawan Shankar for the role of a tantrik. The story will be based on a naagin trying to avenge her naag (who was killed) by marrying into the family that killed it. But, the naagin eventually falls in love."

It sounds like the show is fully and finally inspired by the film Naagin.
